Guest Reviews

- Leifur (8/5): Great place to stay at Uluwatu if you want to be close to beaches and sunset places. - I loved the pool and breakfast area, also the location was very good 👌 The bathroom doesn’t have windows so you will have some small creatures crawling into the room :/
Also the lobby staff did help if you had had any problems or questions but I got way better answers by asking my driver or google :/
- Florian (10/5): - Very cozy and beautiful Hotel, calm and lovely rooms With so much Detail. Great breakfast, really tasty and the staff is so attentive and amazing!
- Natalie (10/5): An amazing place to rest and reset as well as experience Uluwatu’s hotspots - The amazing staff and hospitality from beginning to the end of our stay. The facilities are clean and peaceful and there’s constantly someone around to help you out if you need anything. Absolutely would recommend and will be back! Nothing, everything was great.

- D (6/5): Fine for a few days but not worth the cost - The staff are exceptional and really welcoming. The breakfast was great and the cappuccinos are excellent. Location was near cafes and restaurants. For the price, it’s not worthwhile, sadly. No amenities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, iron etc. No full length mirror, in fact only one mirror in the bathroom.
Not accessible if you have mobility issues and in particular the bed set up was very awkward and difficult to get in and out of.
You can hear other guests and one night there was very loud club music from down the street. I thought it was odd that they provided ear plugs and yet no other amenities but it is clear that perhaps the club music is frequent. It would have been good to know this upfront before booking.
- Alice (8/5): Great facilities and a beautiful place, very luxurious! - We loved IKIGAI and will come back! It’s stunning with amazing rooms (gorgeous sunken bed) and the most beautiful pool area. The staff were also very attentive. The most impressive thing was the restaurant - the food was the best we had in Uluwatu! Breakfast each morning was a delight. It’s also very well positioned within a short walk from beaches, restaurants and spas. The only issue we had, and it’s not really IKIGAI’s fault, was that for a couple of days, there was an issue with the water tank so we couldn’t use the shower while they waited for more water to be delivered.
- Guest (10/5): Imádtuk ottlétünk minden percét. Közel a legjobb éttermekhez, bárokhoz, strandokhoz. - Nagyon kedves személyzet, megfelelő kiszolgálás.
Biztonsági szolgálatot vegző személyek nagyon segitőkészek. Kevés pakolási lehetőség a ruháknak, sajnos a bőrönd folyamatosan útban volt a teli ruhákkal.
- Stine Marie (10/5): Perfekt - Perfekt plassering, nydelig plass og rom! Kjempegod frokost!
- David (10/5): FANTASTIC!! - Relaxing, super comfortable , fantastic staff and in an ideal location!

- Isabella (10/5): - Loved Ikigai! It was the perfect week escape for me and my partner. The breaky was delicious and everyone was so lovely. We loved sitting by the pool relaxing. The rooms felt private with a beautiful view of the garden. In a great location, in the middle of a great area, walking distance to lots of restaurants and beaches. We loved our stay!!

- Sabrina (9/5): -
- Arushi (8/5): Lovely Oasis in the hustle bustle of Uluwatu! - Perfectly located place for walking/ scootering around and getting a feel of life in Uluwatu. Lots of restaurants and cafes steps away. The breakfast here was awesome!

Climatisation vieillissante donc bruyante.
- Tatiana (10/5): More than expected! Lovely hotel in Uluwatu - Everything! Don’t miss the banana/pineapple pancake
- Antonia (10/5): Paradise 🩷 - Boutique feel and very relaxing. Staff were so nice and friendly. Location was great
- Nastaran (10/5): Perfekt läge, fint och fräscht, bra frukost - Läget, poolen, personalen Inget
- Fabio (9/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): Great food and staff in an excellent location. - Loved the food here. Am a veggie and look for healthy options- there were so many options. The breakfasts were beautiful. Great location to walk to the beaches in Uluwatu and the staff were awesome. We felt very well looked after. We liked everything.
- Michael (10/5): Nice luxury retreat located in the newer side of Uluwatu. - Very clean, staff are amazing, great pool area and restaurant serves good food. Very close to best restaurants and cafes in Uluwatu. Amenities are really good also, shower has a good pressure and everything was work well. We chose the room with plunge pool. Although these were the more expensive rooms, they are situated closer to the road so you hear a lot of noise from cars, scooters and people (at night). Next time I would stay in the rooms near the main pool. This side of Uluwatu is still being built up so a lot of construction noise also during the day.

Breakfast amazing Nothing
- Ashley (10/5): Excellent and very relaxing - The resort has everything you need and the staff are very accommodating. The property is near a club so you can hear music throughout the night.
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Selin (9/5): Fantastic Pool & Perfect Location - The garden feels like a little oasis, and spending time by the pool is truly enjoyable.
The rooms are designed with a unique cultural touch — the one we stayed in even had a private little pool and our own veranda to relax on.
Breakfast is amazing; they really listen to your preferences and try to accommodate everything you ask for.
And of course, the location is perfect — everything is within easy reach.
As a bonus, Spring Spa is right next door, and since we stayed at Ikigai, we even got a discount! (: The management is really kind, nothing to mention.
- Sian (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justine (9/5): Beautiful stay, very zen energy and lovely service - Loved the ambience and the location! Nothing loved all
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aida (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amelia (8/5): Very good - Beautiful bedroom and amenities. Organic shower products and a changing room with shower for people wanting to stay after check out. Delicious breakfast. It was very noisy! Both from construction during the day and a club/bar playing music really loudly into the early hours. They provided headphones but I hardly slept because of it.
- Juilene (9/5): Superb -
- Kerrin (9/5): Food and coffee were exceptional - lovely staff and rooms were great - Loved our stay !!! Will definitely be back But if noise from nightlife - we had our pen earplugs so we were ok
- Anıl (10/5): Beyond expectations - The hotel was in a fantastic location—many restaurants, cafes, bars, and beaches were all within walking distance. The ambiance and design of the hotel were truly impressive, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying.
When we first arrived, they shared a very comprehensive list via WhatsApp of things to do in Uluwatu—it had everything you could ask for, and all the recommendations turned out to be excellent.
We stayed for two nights, but it definitely made us wish we had stayed a couple more. If we ever come back to Bali, we will definitely stay here again.
- Rebecca (9/5): Great location, modern feel and amazing staff - Great location with super friendly and helpful staff. Private garden area was great and we loved the cocktails from the bar!
- Aleksandra (10/5): Perfect stay - This hotel is absolutely beautiful, the pool area is lovely and the rooms are specious, the shower was incredible, the best out of 8 hotels we stayed in on our travels in Bali. Great location, close to plenty of restaurants and bars. But it’s the breakfast that deserves a special mention, it was delicious every morning. Plenty of choice and so very tasty. The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make your stay perfect and I’ve got to say we would definitely stay at this hotel again if we came to Uluwatu. It wasn’t an issue for us but one thing to mention is if you’re staying over the weekend there is a club near by and we could hear the music but we were also out in that club one night so definitely wasn’t an issue for us, just something to consider. Absolutely nothing
- Dannielle (9/5): Superb - Brilliant stay — best location and walking distance to great restaurants and a spa next door.
Staff were kind and accommodating.
Great food and beautiful pool area.
Room lighting was excellent — perfect for getting ready or filming content.
Noise-cancelling earplugs are provided for light sleepers. Would love to see a full-length mirror added to the room.
Some reviews mentioned noise from local bars, but it didn’t personally bother me.
- Raneem (9/5): Superb -
- Kurt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashleigh (5/5): Rooms look great in photos but very uncomfortable in reality - The pool area was lovely. Excellent breakfasts, which were a great way to start the day. Staff were very friendly. Well maintained grounds. Location is right in the heart of Uluwatu and walking distance to restaurants, shops, beaches and cliffs... but comes at a cost with the loud music at night. As other reviewers have noted, expect loud music well into the early hours from another venue. Hotel have tried to rectify this with supplying ear plugs but they're honestly not enough.
The room looks very aesthetic in photos, but not practical in reality. Towels are stained and dirty. Wooden frame around the bed and wooden stairs are so creaky, loud and feel unstable to walk on. Only one chair to sit on inside so not really a room you can chill out in unless you are on the bed. Only windows in the room look out onto public common area so you need to keep the curtains shut all the time for privacy.
Bathroom is a bit rundown, no tiles and just painted walls and wooden floor. A bit strange and not practical.
Pool was packed everyday, not enough room for everyone and the sun lounge cushions were dirty.
The manager, although seemed to be speaking to a lot of guests at breakfast, never once spoke to us or asked how our stay was... leaving an 'exclusive' feel.
- Pascal (7/5): Good - Good location and an oasis in the busy streets of Uluwatu. Breakfast was good and friendly staff.
Many restaurants, bars and beach in walking distance. The hotel provides also a list of restaurants near by via whats app. It is nice to have an outdoor bathroom but the sliding door is not fully closing which means mosquitos in the room. There is a mosquito net which does not fullfil its purpose at all (not fully closing many open spirs). Rooms have a great design but not very practical. In case you have a soft/light sleep it can be noisy.
- Aisha (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (4/5): Disappointing - The hotel and staff were absolutely lovely and very supportive. Unfortunately, there’s a nearby club that plays loud music until around 3am (Thursday to Sunday), and we could feel the bass in our room. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but light sleepers might want to be aware.
- Michaela (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was really good and all of the staff were very friendly.
The rooms were very stylish and were cleaned daily. The swimming pool needed a clean, parts of it felt slimy and looked discoloured.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacob (10/5): Highly recommend to stay in Uluwatu - Everything. Staff were great. Food was good. Room was amazing. And the surroundings and pool area were incredible Literally nothing
- Charpentier (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great, we were near the beach and good places to eat, breakfast was super yummy and the staff kind. Our room was comfortable, clean and the pool really enjoyable., on top of it you have a nice spa next door. We loved it there😌 The issue is that they have a club near by - so it’s best to sleep there beginning of week instead of end of week or else you are disturbed by music until 4 AM, and basically you can’t sleep. We had that for our last night which was disappointing but for the rest it was amazing.
- Fabrizia (10/5): Exceptional - Great decor, the pool is really chill and well maintained. The breakfast is great and the rooms are spacious. Service is amazing and the staff is super nice and helpful!
- Whitney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louis (10/5): Serenity - The garden, the calm
- Filipe (8/5): Very good - Noisy at night due to neighbouring bars/ clubs
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were amazing! Every one of them was so friendly and gave amazing service. The breakfast was also 10/10. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in uluwatu
- Hannah (10/5): Relaxing stay at Ikigai. Pool was lovely, Sunbeds were really comfortable and the breakfast was delusions and well prese - The hotel was clean and so relaxing! The staff were amazing and happy to help at any point within our stay! Great location to lots of markets for shopping and restaurants for food and drinks. Great food and comfortable rooms. Nothing! It was amazing!
- Melissa (10/5): A stay we won't forget - The tranquility of this place was to die for, from the minute we walked in we felt at peace. Everything was amazing nothing to complain about
- Genevieve (9/5): Beautiful hotel with great breakfast in the heart of Uluwatu - Beautiful property, loved the pool, breakfast, great bed and shower.
Good storage and loved the refillable glass water bottles A bit dark in the bathroom and a hint of sewer smell at times in bathroom
- Alana (9/5): Superb -
- Mahdis (8/5): Overall we stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the location, the swimming pool, the drinks and the service provi - Loved the decor, the main swimming pool area, guest toilet and shower room was super handy for us too.
The staff were amazing.
Breakfast was delicious.
Drinks are really tasty especially the green juice! There were a few small issues with the room which I think if improved it can take this hotel a big step forward.
1. The bed: we didn’t have a problem with having the mattress on ground level. However the wooden structure around it made a loud noise so it was hard not wake up my partner up with it at night if I needed to get up and use the bathroom.
2. Mosquito net: there are curtains all around the bed but they don’t give full coverage to be used at night for mosquitoes. We were in bali for 10 days prior to our stay at this hotel and managed to avoid any mosquito bites. However we woke up with big itchy bites all over our bodies after one night sleeping in this hotel. It was disappointing and uncomfortable to know we had more nights to put up with more potential bites!
3. Bathroom: The water pressure was very low at the start for about 5-10 minutes and water took long to warm up. Towels provided were very thin and didn’t smell fresh which is a small detail but it’s a nice touch to have in a hotel. There were no hand or body lotion provided.
- Cristian-alexandru (7/5): Good - The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is good. The hotel looks nice The AC in room 17 did not work properly and it also had a bad smell. We were given a standing fan. I had to remove the filters myself to at least get rid of some of the smell of the AC, but it just would not cool down the room enough. Temperature and speed settings did not make any change in the operation, but the service team reported it was working properly... Later we read through the reviews of the hotel and realized multiple people reported this issue...luckily we were there for just one night. It is a shame because the hotel is quite nice, but sleeping in Bali with almost no AC is just a no at this price point.
- Ms (9/5): Great and would love to visit again - Great location and beautiful Management level staff were not inclusive
- Bernadette (10/5): A perfect stay in Uluwatu - Beautiful property and excellent staff. Great food and excellent location Would love body lotion, robes and slippers
- Philippa (9/5): Amazing location and lovely staff - Such a sanctuary! The location is amazing, walking distance to so many shops, markets, bars, beach clubs and restaurants. The staff were a true highlight as well, helped us with everything and were so kind offering us to enjoy the pool, bar, showers after we’d checked o it and had to wait for the rest of the day for our driver to the airport. The 12pm check out is also fabulous! Such a relaxing and beautiful setting and comfortable, well designed rooms. Nothing - only thing was there was a bit of noise the night we stayed but this could be as it was a Saturday night.
- Jian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gemma (5/5): Disappointed - Fantastic staff and breakfast Since travelling 1 year ago some things are very tired . Very very Noisy every night we had around 2 hours sleep rave party music until 3am . We stayed for 6 nights and only had one good night sleep ,Ear plugs provided but not satisfactory when paying this sort of money on Bali
Would prob not return again
Which is heartbreaking as our first stay was fantastic
But looking very tired and much need of a revamp
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms were great, very comfortable and the bath was amazing. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were so welcoming and were great at accommodating us after we checked out.
- Ethan (10/5): We loved our stay here the staff were so nice and helpful and we felt very comfortable and relaxed on our stay - Staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms were really nice and were nice and cold when we arrived, food was great and the pool and very nice Would have been good to have somewhere to do laundry
- Alana (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (10/5): Gorgeous! - So warm, accommodative & welcoming!
- Jayde (9/5): Superb -
- Jayde (7/5): Nice property, good location, but not worth the price! - The property is in a great location! Walking distance from single fin and many bars and restaurants which is super convenient. The pool area is nice, although the pool is way too hot, felt like a bath and wasn’t refreshing. It would also be good if the staff came to the pool area and asked if anyone wants drinks etc instead of going up to the bar wet from the pool.
The major disadvantages are: it is SUPER noisy at night, which I know it can’t be helped that there are clubs around, but for the price you pay, to be kept up all night due to music is really frustrating. The aircon is not cold, we moved rooms due to noise and both rooms the aircon was just blowing out room temperature air, making it extremely hot at night to sleep. If you have a room with an outdoor bathroom, there will be many mosquitoes in your room so beware of that! The wooden slats and stair around the bed in the room is really creeky and wobbly which again was annoying through the night if you had to get up to go to the bathroom or anything as it was loud. This place is absolutely not family friendly so I wouldn’t stay here if you have a baby. All up I think for what you pay here it’s certainly not worth it.
- Afaf (7/5): Good -
- Rafael (10/5): Wonderful place! - Alles perfekt!
- Sarah (9/5): Highly recommend this place for Ultuwatu - super location, modern and clean - It was really clean, modern and a great location
- John (10/5): We will be back!! - Amazing location in busy area, everything close by. Then IKIGAI was an oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful property, clean gorgeous villas, absolute relaxation, beautiful staff and great breakfasts each morning.
- Jorge (10/5): An oasis in Uluwatu - Absolutely beautiful, so well maintained, clean and a perfect location walking distance to many nice cafes and restaurants —
- Anais (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andresen (9/5): I’ll be back - It has been a fantastic stay at Ikigai Beach. Impressively pleasant and happy staff, a huge service heart beating in there somewhere♥️. My personal experiences with Gonzalo, the kitchenchef, if he isn't he should be, in the restaurant, were beyond compare.
The manager must be good at her job, with such a dedicated staff. As a guest, I feel a harmony that applies to the overall impression of our experience here at the place🙏🏻☀️🇮🇩 At night there was a little noise from the bars and clubs near the hotel.
- Meeta (10/5): Great hotel , great breakfast, wierd private pool ! - Awesome ! Great location , great staff , absolutely amazing breakfast !!! I just didn't understand the thought behind having a private pool which was knee length !!!
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Courtney (10/5): Relaxing and beautiful -
