• rik (8/5): - Het kader. In de stad, en toch rustig aan het begijnhof. Heel mooi oud huis. De gevolgen zijn natuurlijk een oude trap, maar dit vind ik charmant. De douche en het bed waren gelukkig niet van eeuwen geleden, maar van zeer goeie kwaliteit.

• Elliott-Smith (9/5): Unique UNESCO listed property and great value for money - A unique experience! This is a UNESCO listed property dating back to 1640 so the rooms are Spartan with just the bare minimum in decor but spotlessly clean and comfortable and surprisingly roomy. We also had a little rooftop balcony area to sit amongst the crooked rooftops. Ensuite bathroom was modern and clean. There is no elevator of course so the only access to the rooms is up a very steep, very narrow staircase which took some effort to negotiate with our luggage. Thankfully our room was on the first floor because the second storey staircase was even steeper. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

• Claudius (10/5): - Genial. Ein wunderbares Hotel mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Unbedingt ihr Pelgrim Craft Bier probieren. So individuell und passend zur ältesten Stadt Belgiens in einem Fachwerk Haus von 1636 zu übernachten. Nicht für gehbehinderte Gäste geeignet, da man enge steile Stiegen zu den Zimmern hat, was für Fachwerkhäuser aus 17jh üblich ist und es nur noch mehr original macht 😉

• Lou (8/5): Sfeervol - Mooie kamer in een prachtig oud gebouw. Heel sfeervol. Het ligt in een mooi hoekje van Tongeren. Jammer dat een ontbijt niet mogelijk is. De oude trap naar de bovenste verdieping heeft heel ondiepe en scheve treden. Voorzichtig dus.

• Holger (10/5): Wunderschöner Altbau im Beginenhof - Wunderschöner Altbau mit alten Balken und Dielen mitten im ehemaligen Beginenhof. Wer alten Charme mit moderner Einrichtung mag, ist hier genau richtig! Ein Zimmer hat eine wunderbare Dachterrasse. Alles perfekt!

• Margaretha (10/5): The above - They pre-heated the room prior to arrival because it was freezing cold in the winter. Such a nice touch of hospitality! Room was spacious and Clean as could be, wow I would stay here again. It’s in such a good location! We loved it! Just a reminder if/when traveling with infants or elderly, this is an old building with extremely steep spiral staircases. It’s lovely, it really is, but… not suitable for young children and the elderly.

• Emile (10/5): Lovely stay. - This property is impeccably clean while retaining its charming old-world character. Achieving this balance is rare, but they’ve done it flawlessly. There was a nice and renovated bathroom which is something very important to me for a good stay. The location is serene and truly authentic. I would surely recommend. I liked everything of it!

• Anastasia (10/5): A gem in the old town of Tongeren - De Pelgrim is located in a beautiful and quiet, yet historical part of the old town, just a few minutes away from the center and main attractions. The interior is stunning, beautifully renovated, while the character of the old building is still well preserved. The room we stayed in was fantastic: beautiful, cosy, with a very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. Finally, the hosts are very friendly and helpful.
• Francisco (9/5): Couple, overnight stay - Good location, easy access to the city center, Gallo-Romein museum and Teseum. The building is fully renovated but keeps an old layout, making the stay unique. Very quiet neighborhood for a good night sleep. Nothing.
