Guest Reviews
- Francesca (10/5): Fantastic place!! - Valley View homestay is the perfect place where to go if you want to live an authentic experience! The family (and friends) welcomed me very warmly, willing to share with me their knowledge about the place and suggesting me perfect places and activities to do! They will help you with everything :) Also the food is amazing, authentic Nepali dishes prepared ad home with a lot of love! About the room and the home stay, everything was very clean and tidy: The rooms have a beautiful view on the tea valley and surrounding hills! Same for the terrace where you can enjoy a cup of tea while reading a book very peacefully! The location is perfect: close to the main attractions of darjeeling, that you can easily reach by walking or by a taxi, but in a calm area, far from the noises of the main streets! Overall I really recommend to come here, it was a fantastic experience!
- Biswas (9/5): Homestay was very beautiful.view was nice.food also simple and testy... -
- Rupayan (9/5): superb - great location for people looking for properties on the city boundaries, the hosts.... Nischal and Kuldeep did everything they can to keep us comfortable A small portion of the road leading to the property was quite narrow and have stray dog droppings here n there but nothing that hosts can do...whole of chowkbazaar is a little messy..
- Anonymous (5/5): Nice people's - People are friendly and nice nature Food is not good, washroom is very small
- Vivek (9/5): Superb - Staffing was awesome. Also provided good guide and taken care of all our needs.
- Massoum (9/5): Nice place with an amazing view. - An amazing terrace with lots of flowers, a really beautiful garden. Our room and shared area were Well decorated and clean and full of light with a view to tea gardens. The location is close to happy valley tea factory. Comfortable beds and clean bedsheets. Delicious foods. Far from the noise of the city. Helpful owner who called and explained us how we can get there easily and even he came to guide us. We enjoyed very much.thank you The shared bathroom was beside of our room and at that time the property was full, so there were lots of noise during night but it was not the homestay fault
- Guillaume (8/5): Very good - Very beautiful house
- Juhi (10/5): Wonderful homestay! - wonderful location, it is right next to Happy Valley Tea estate. The View is wonderful during both day and night time.
The family was very welcoming and accommodating.
The food was very tasty- we had aloo parantha, chowmein, maggi, and chai. Great place if you are travelling light and willing to walk the way.
- Naveen (10/5): Once you reach the homestay you will forget everything. Their hospitality is superb. - Homestay is very nice, clean and good facilities. View is really excellent ๐. A family run by the homestay who provides you homely and tasty food. Entire family is very humble and helpful. We spent two excellent days and nights there. Nischal pradhan who is the host is a best person. Approaching homestay i.e. road is not good. Infact in whole town road is very small and not good.
- Chandan (8/5): Very good - Very nice behaviour especially the owner's father and the owner's mom's food very good clean food like home
- Eva (7/5): Good - It's a bit far from the main road but very close to the Happy Tea Valley Estate which is why we chose it. The view from the room and the roof top is amazing, you can see all the tea gardens. The guest tried to make us feel welcome and helped with things we needed. We had great breakfast on the rooftop and also nice dinner one night. The area is quiet. We had mixed feelings about this homestay. Maybe there was some cultural misunderstanding but we would prefer more privacy. We agreed to communicate on WhatsApp with the host but he kept coming to our room. Also he called us when he saw us going to the Happy Tea Estate thinking we got lost. Other time we got a strange message from him asking why we bought tea from a shop when we could buy it from him... He apparently got this information from our previous homestay host. This was super strange and we still do not understand why the homestay owners texted about us to each other.
The room has only private Indian toilet and a sink. The shower is shared. The first night our neighbors made the shower dirty so it was not very comfortable for us.
- Mishra (10/5): Best home stay in Darjeeling - The host were amazing
- Das (8/5): Very good - View from this homestay was amazing, Home cooked food they provided was fresh and hygienic, cleanliness was good. bathroom was so small and no geyser was there in my room

- Moumita (9/5): The homestay is a treat for eye & soul. - The location of the homestay, the warm welcome of Nischal ( homestay owner) and his family (aunty, uncle) and their balcony, its like heaven. Nothing. But it is a suggestion for Nischal that I think the price of fooding is little bit higher, he would think of it.
- Sudipta (9/5): Superb -
