Guest Reviews
- Sorensen (4/5): Didn’t stay. - The price was affordable and the ad sounded good, but… When we got to the cabin my 6 foot tall husband had to duck his head to walk inside. Once inside all he wanted to do was get out because it made him feel claustrophobic. When I went in I thought it was cute and clean inside but then I realized there wasn’t room for our luggage and the car wasn’t parked anywhere near the cabin. The setting was unique in that it was in a cluster of what appeared to be 3 cabins within a landscaped area of the owner’s yard making it seem quiet and secluded. No one else was staying there. My husband was adamant we couldn’t stay there because it was too small so I let the owner know we wouldn’t be staying. She seemed very sympathetic, even suggesting we contact Booking.com to request a refund, which I did. She never responded to Booking’s request from her about it so no refund. I suggested to her we pay half of the 2 night stay; no response. For someone else it may be fine, however, I would suggest that the owner clean the windows in the cabin doors so it might feel more open and whoever is staying there can clearly see the yard. Also, the kitchen and bathroom facilities are located in the main house which required a 6 digit code to get in which is not practical, especially in the middle of the night. Maybe consider a lock on the gate to keep other people out while you have tenants staying there.
- Judy (9/5): We had a great time - Perfect for us…cosy and fun All good
- Helen (9/5): - Thankyou Chelsee for a very comfortable stay. The place was immaculately clean - yes it is cozy - so you have an accurate description of the accommodation! We enjoyed meeting you and your delightful kids : )
- Maria (10/5): -
- Olana Susan (9/5): Unique experience in Motueka - What a unique experience with these cabins. Rooms are small but clean. Location is good but a bit further from the restaurants. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom facility. Nothing to complain about.
- Leo (8/5): Nice place to stay for a short stay. - Cozy little cabin.
The a shared kitchen and bathroom. We used 2 cabins and they didn’t book the third so it was just our group sharing the kitchen and bathroom. The washroom was in a separate building. Not good if you have to go to the washroom during the night.
Cabin very small so not much room for luggage.
- William (5/5): Lovely location expensive for what it was only really suitable for one person - Close to the beach and facilities, free use of bicycles and washing machine The facility was a garden shed with a bed against the wall and only a small lamp to light it
My Australian travelling companion booked herself into a separate Airbnb as she was so appalled by the facilities and couldn’t see how she could sleep in the hut !
There was no where comfortable away from the sand flies to read a book other than in bed with only one tiny lamp
The kitchen was small and the bathroom was off it would have been impossible to share if another hut was occupied and 2 couples had to use
Good location for walking Abel Tasman etc

- Anouk (10/5): - Goede locatie, aardige host en fijne algemene ruimte (die je voor jezelf hebt). Niks.
- Anne (8/5): Lovely surroundings, helpful owners. - Bed was very comfy and the space was all I needed. I thought the surroundings were very lovely The toilet was a little bit far away but I managed ok.
- Kj (10/5): - We stayed in Cozy Cabin B. Very clean. Loved the garden setting around our cabins. We also ran into the owners and their children. Absolutely adorable. Left us to our own space. Was able to use their complimentary push bikes , helmets. Went for a peaceful bike ride. Wished I could smuggle the bed we slept on........so comfy
- Carla (10/5): Exceptional - Cute little cabins. Super clean facilities. Spotless! We stayed only one night, we slept wonderfully well. Great shower, and very well kept facilities (kitchen, bathroom and room) :)
- Bernie (7/5): Good - Clean place, great location and comfy bed Bed was against wall.
- Maddy (10/5): Exceptional - Great wee cabin. Helpful hints and tips for the area, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed.
- Linda (9/5): Quiet cosy (small) cabin on the outskirts of Motueka. Full facilities in next building. - Location was great. Two night maximum is understandable. Whilst we could hear the family a little amount at meal times through the door of the kitchen facilities, we never saw them and were left to our own enjoyment. Having full use of the facilities was great - i.e. there are 2 cabins but only one party stays at a time. Promotion of the saltwater baths would've been good, also the Talley's fish shop nearby was a bonus, but we did find them on our own!
- Tracey (9/5): Superb -
- Brett (10/5): Chelsee met us on arrival at 7.30pm to show us around, unexpected as I already had the code, so that was very nice. It w - Close to beach & walking/running tracks, quiet, set in an oasis-like garden. Everything was great
- Leah (9/5): Loved the set up and communal table - Love the setup, like camping but with very comfortable beds.
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Location good , host's very nice couple. Cabin clean bed really comfy. Kitchen facilities very good . Nothing to dislike.
- Julie (9/5): Great little place to stay in the Tasman/Motueka area. - Loved everything about the cabins.
The bed and sheets were supercosy. The communication from Chelsee was very good.
I thought the cabin was very well-price! Nothing I didn't like at all!
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Super comfy bed, very clean and cute facilities. Loved the garden area.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Valda (8/5): Super friendly, clean and loved how close it was to the shore. - Its a very pretty setting and our host was lovely, really appreciated the recommendations for dinner. Facilities are modern and super clean. Facilities are a little tight, kinda a tiny home, open air, feel to it
- Lee (9/5): Superb -
- Ali (10/5): Absolutely charming place - Set in a lush garden, great location for the beach and ATN Park. Kitchen, dining, garden and bathroom all private. Had to move on.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (9/5): Loved every second of it & would definitely recommend! - It had such a cosy vibe to it. The hut was great, clean and everyday I woke up nicely to the sound of birds in the surrounding trees. Loved it! Do only small detail was the low water pressure in the shower. But that was truly the only small detail i noticed.
- George (7/5): Good - Nicely decorated and cosy, gorgeous garden. Loved the games. Woken up by kid running around and traffic, the sound carries more than you'd expect. I also thought it was a bit overpriced for the size of the room.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rob (8/5): it was wonderful the sun came out as we arrived in Motueka and the tuis started calling. -
- Emmens (10/5): Exceptional - Absolute gem! Super comfy bed. Perfect kitchen / diner setup
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional - Really cosy room and comfy bed. As the name describes it (glamping), the room is very small but the bed is comfy and the linen was really nice. The description lists the accommodation as a shared bathroom but I had it all to myself (along with kitchenette and laundry) which was certainly nice for this solo traveller! I later learnt that for the moment, the individuals or group who have booked have exclusive use of the bathroom which you’re not sharing it with strangers (there are two other glamping cabins).
Everything was immaculately clean. The accommodation is on the edge of town but I liked the location as it’s closer to the coast and a swimming spot. Communication with the owner was fab, she even suggested a few dinner spots which was thoughtful.
- Zsuzsanna (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, great kitchen, nice and cute property. Very kind tenants.
- Jeroen (10/5): Amazing stay and hosts near the beach - Really nice and cool little cabin with an amazing bed. Facilities are really clean and everything is available and in great condition. Location is great as well, being 5min walk maximum from the beach.
- Al (10/5): Excellent accommodation - Everything was perfect No complaints
- Matthias (10/5): Super cozy cabin directly at the beach - loved it! -
