- James (7/5): Great views (otherwise a lower score) but several flaws in the flat itself. - Elisabetta is a very friendly host whose apartment offers fabulous view from the living room across the valley. The decor is tasteful and not too "Ikea". Close to the centre of Govone which is a pretty enough village and a good location for visiting Alba and the wine villages of Roero and Barbaresco (Barolo is not too far either). The balcony is not big enough for a table and chairs and it is not possible to fully open the window. The bathroom has a similar balcony but one that is shared with the host (presumably their bathroom). The "large double" bed is, in fact, two singles pushed together with uncomfortable mattresses. The tie beam in the bedroom is somewhat difficult to manoeuvre around. Really the apartment is a bit too small for what it is trying to achieve. The main outdoor space is a sloped driveway although we were told we would have to park elsewhere so I don't really see the point of this space. You can't sit out there (although a small table with two chairs had been put there).

- Carlo (10/5): Definitely recommended! - The apartment is brand new and has amazing glass windows giving a breathtaking view over the hills. It is located right in the middle of the town, a few meters away by foot from the royal castle (UNESCO heritage site; former residences of the Royal House of Savoy) and its beautiful park. There is also a pizzeria, restaurant, and a few bars very close by. With its location, the apartment is also a perfect starting point to explore the Langhe and the Roero area. The Barbaresco and Barolo wine regions are about 15 and 25 minutes away, respectively (a tour in some wineries and in La Morra are a must!). Alba is just 20 minutes away and is definitely worth a visit. One can also explore and enjoy the surrounding hills (San Martino, Priocca, Castellinaldo, Guarene). The apartment itself is silent and very well furnished. Everything was super-clean, and the hosts were very friendly and gave us several tips. Parking is available for free in the square nearby. I will definitely come back!
