• Roman (4/5): Underwhelming and disappointing - I liked the location and the design aesthetic of the room. I requested extra towels and iron & board and they were delivered quickly. The robes were nice and soft, one of the nicest I’ve seen in hotels. The bedding did not have a sense of freshness to it. It was stale, the best I can describe. I’m not suggesting it wasn’t clean but it didn’t smell fresh. The smell in the room was also stale, stuffy, damp & musky. I really didn’t like that as it took away quite a lot from the design aesthetic of the room. I remember wishing the hotel put some kind of scent diffuser or perhaps scent sticks, something to create a sense of freshness in the room. The room was tiny! Their photographer did a fantastic job creating a sense of spaciousness - it was a deception. Mind you, I understand this was Hong Kong but still, the expectation was that the room would be much larger. They charged us for a dental kit. That was strange. It’s wasn’t a big charge and they are trying to conserve materials. It would be okay with a lower grade hotel but in a luxury setting, I don’t think it’s accessible. My suggestion is to let people choose if they want it or not, conserve this way, but don’t charge them for a tooth brush & a tiny tube of paste. Strange and cheap, considering how much the rooms cost.

• Tony (7/5): Comfortable room in central location - if you don’t mind walking for breakfast - Room and bed were a decent size. The bathroom was good, with a huge shower (Black Suite). I imagine the drip coffee is a green / sustainability idea but the coffee it creates just isn’t strong enough, and nowhere onsite. Walking, particularly in the rain, to a nearby cafe (5 mins) was not great - although the coffee and breakfast at Omu was good.

• Anastasia (9/5): Superb - The staff was incredibly helpful with everything—from making restaurant reservations to checking us in several hours early. The location is fantastic: a charming, local-feeling neighborhood that’s not touristy at all, yet super close to everything, including the subway. There are also plenty of great restaurants right on the same block. The room is small but stylish and spotless. And most importantly, I’m a very sensitive sleeper—and it was wonderfully quiet (except for the thunder 😊). Would definitely come back and truly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

Perfect for architecture and design enthusiasts. The lower lighting in the room didn‘t work well, poor wifi, and there wasn’t enough storage space for two people staying a week. This was my second stay at TUVE (first was in June 2020), and once again, the ground floor café was closed, sad.

The hotel is in a great location away from the hustle but still convenient and with plenty of surrounding stores, cafes, restaurants and a nearby 24hr laundromat. The rooms are spacious, clean and architecturally exceptional (what amazing design). Anyone with an eye for minimal aesthetic or with an appreciation for the subtle artistic space will love this hotel.

• Anoop (9/5): A minimalist modern hotel in heart of hongkong - The property is minimalist but at a very Connie isn’t location. It’s connected by tram and bus by all locations. Getting around was very easy. Rooms are very well designed with all necessary amenities and modern aesthetics. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It may not be luxury but then we spend very less time at hotel so appreciated the minimalist design and convenience the hotel offered.

• Claire (4/5): Designed to the max but needs more attention to comfort - The entire hotel has a minimalist design and is somewhat reminiscent of the set of THE FIFTH ELEMENT. The whole hotel has a somewhat austere look to it. From the outside, you can't really tell it's a hotel because there's only a small sign embedded in the sidewalk - no other signs. When I arrived at 3am, my cab driver (female) and I had to walk up and down the street (under an overpass) and were lucky that a hotel security guard saw us. The furniture still looks good but there are signs of wear and tear. There was no hot water in the shower even after I left it running for more than 15 minutes. The advice that I should just call reception to turn it on was not really helpful. Would you want to call reception every time before you shower and after you've left the water running for fifteen minutes? What a waste of water and time.

• Yuliia (7/5): Short stay only; good for solo travelers - The hotel is aesthetically gorgeous: stylish and minimalistic. For a better experience, I’d recommend opting for a larger room though. The coffee shop downstairs is lovely, with delicious food. There’s also a halal food stall (can't remember the name!) right across the street serving Indian and Middle Eastern dishes, open late - we grabbed a late-night snack there every night and highly recommend it! The room was extremely small, with barely any space for our luggage or clothes; best suited for a solo traveler with a very small suitcase. The Le Labo products in the bathroom felt off (fake?); I use them at home, and both the scent and texture seemed different. Additionally, there was no soap by the sink, so every time I needed to wash my hands, I had to get shower gel from the shower—very inconvenient.

Maybe a short of bathroom drawer(s) under the sink would help with the scattered toiletries without compromising the architects minimalistic concept.

• Christiane (8/5): designer style hotel with little glitches - The rooms are nice, the beds are very comfortable and the decor is no nonsense black and white designer style. The entry to the hotel is hard to find, only by looking at pictures posted by other guests could we find it. The high pitched violin solos played in the lift were a bit too much. The toilet flushing did not work properly in both rooms we occupied. There is no breakfast option in the hotel, there is a cafe on the ground floor which looks nice but smelled bad so we went elsewhere, which was a bit of a walk. No fridge in the twin bed room.

• Michal (7/5): Tuve, please change your toiletries - The room has great design, industrial, attention to detail, a bit of kitnsugi in the concrete walls, magnetic 'do not disturb' signs, an interesting feature of an open table and chair. We really liked it. The room was extremely stinky. At first we thought there was a hidden cheap perfume spray that keeps polluting the room, but when we tried the toiletries the source of this horrid odor became clear. Cheap, tacky. completely ruined the atmosphere of the room. We went out to buy soap and shampoo. The horrible smell, however, lingered for the rest of our stay, though less awful. Maybe we got used to it.
