- christine (10/5): Authentique et chaleureux - Confort accueil chaleureux,hôte plein d’humour
- Mitch (10/5): Great break from the crazy city congestion - It's off the beaten track and surrounded by lovely pastures. Ronald cooked us up a classic Irish breakfast made to order. It's very quiet and well-appointed. The beds have cotton sheets (not that polyester stuff we found everywhere else), nice pillows and plenty of space. Very friendly hosts.
- Carol (7/5): - Nice and clean Room very small and no lounge area for guests. Only stayed one night but would be a problem if staying longer
- Eric (8/5): Was a very unusual experience, lots of fun and laughter was had by all. - Nice location . Very clean . Difficult to find . Not sign posted as BB.
- David (10/5): Ronald and Maureen are excellent hosts and took care of all our needs. We would stay there again. - Lovely location and convenient for our needs. Nothing really.

- David (9/5): An elegant and beautifully restored home in a peaceful, tranquil location. Wonderful hosts! - Ron, our host, welcomed us with a broad smile and open arms. He assisted us to get our luggage to our upstairs room, which was well appointed and very comfortable. He also made a big effort to check in with us regarding what we would like for breakfast the next morning, offering to cook whatever we would like. This was in addition to providing an excellent continental breakfast. We chose to have the continental breakfast, including the croissants that Ron provided on our request! Our hosts, Ron & Maureen, could not have been more warm or welcoming, and meeting their beautiful dogs was such a joy! We enjoyed our stay at Glenleva very much, and cannot say there was anything we would want to change!

They were very accommodating on check-in time and helped escort us to our destination when our transportation fell through. The rooms are spacious and boast scenic views of the countryside. They made us a wonderful breakfast before our day's journey. We only wish we had more time with them! We certainly hope to be back again one day. Thank you for everything Maureen and Ronald! P.S. We miss the dogs, too!

Maureen was lovely as well! The furnishings and the home were gorgeous and extremely comfortable. Absolutely delicious breakfast! Very accommodating host. A big bonus for us was meeting their wonderful dogs who were so adorable and friendly, but well controlled and never a bother. They were kept in a separate room until we asked to meet them. We got great advice on places to see and eat during our visit. We would not hesitate to stay there again! We liked everything! Great experience.

- Kerry (10/5): Perfect stay ! - Ronald and Maureen were perfect hosts, lovely, warm, and inviting and their home was a home from home.
Breakfast was top rate and plentiful.
Our room was very comfortable and warm. Their 3 dogs were gorgeous and friendly.
We are excited to return. Nothing, everything was great.
- Evelyn (10/5): The best B&B we have experienced so far! - The property is sitting on its own with a beautiful front and back garden. Including a helicopter pad in the back garden which one of the owners Ronald was more than happy to show us and tell us the bit of history behind. The other owner Maureen was such a delight to talk to and get to know also. This property is not a house it is in fact a home! My partner and I felt welcome from the minute we walked in the door and will most certainly be staying here regularly over the coming months. Not to mention the absolute softies Bailey, Bonnie & Clyde. I have never come across more calm and loving dogs! What is not to like?!
- Mark (10/5): Well we are so glad that we found this place. Ronald & Maureen are the perfect couple as hosts. - 1st of all we would like to say Ronald & Maureen are an amazing pair. They both made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Straight into a bit of banter which helped after a long drive and very humorous.
Set in such a peaceful setting, with very quiet nights. ( I must be getting older ) The rooms are fantastic, clean, spacious with great view. The Breakfast was perfect, my wife has special dietary requirements and Ronald couldn't be more helpful.
We will defiantly be back again. There three labs/retriever are adorable.
Mark & Mary We could not stay longer!!!
- Tony (10/5): Nice couple with warm hearts. - Warm and welcoming on arrival and throughout. Ron aim to please guests.
Homely rooms.
- Mary (10/5): Very enjoyable - We loved everything about the property.
Ronald & Maureen were so friendly and made us very welcome.
- Katherine (9/5): Superb -
- Teresa (10/5): A beautiful property with fantastic hosts. - From the moment you go in, you are treated like part of the family. Beautiful peaceful surroundings. A lovely spacious room with en-suite shower room. Nothing is too much trouble for Ron and Maureen, who are great hosts. The breakfast choice is excellent- pastries, pancakes, fresh fruit, cereals as well as the full Irish. I will also miss being greeted by Bonnie, Clyde and Bailey their beautiful labrador retrievers. With my own family living nearby I hope to return again, and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else. Nothing! For me the place met and exceeded my expectations…….but people should check the location. It is rural, a good 10-15 min drive to shops/bars/restaurants along winding narrow lanes. Also there are three beautiful dogs that are part of the household…..so bear that in mind if you aren’t a dog lover.
- Leonie (10/5): Wonderful stay with exceptional hosts - We had such a nice stay at Glenvela Guest House and were a bit sad we only stayed for one night. Everything was exceptionally clean, our room and the whole house were lovely (every room has their private bathroom) and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. However, the best thing about our stay were Maureen, Ronald and their three dogs - we could not imagine better hosts, and the dogs welcomed us with much enthusiasm and we were happy to follow their request for extensive cuddling (I must add that the dogs are kept in a private area of the house and the hosts only let them out when the guests are comfortable). There was nothing about our stay we didn’t like.
- Quinn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liam (10/5): Relaxing - Property is stunning, really well presented. 4* quality room.
- Aidan (9/5): Restful, fun and 'repeatable'! - Ronald was and is an exemplary hosts: attentive, engaging and humorous.

- Anne (9/5): Comfortable stay with great host - Great sized rooms. Great host. Lovely breakfast.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Penelope (10/5): Friendly home for guests - Breakfast was basically whatever you wanted:- Fruit, pastries, toast, full irish, cereal, nuts, yoghurt......... Super friendly dogs but kept to their own area. Decent internet. Very rural. Rooms well lit and comfortable., Desk, wardrobe, dryer etc. Quiet at night. Plenty of parking. Phone signal was poor - had to walk to the gate for a signal no other problems - it hardly rained either!
- Joy (10/5): Stay here, it is the best! - Everything was beautiful, incredible quality, all we could ask for. Also, THE BEST HOSTS!!! We loved everything.
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (10/5): Home from home - What a hidden gem! We arrived and at first impression the property was immaculate. We were greeted getting out of the car by the amazing hosts who were so bubbly and welcoming. They gave us a brief on breakfast times etc and showed us to our room. We were amazed by the room, the level of cleanliness was beyond impressive, we stayed in the king room. The breakfast spread in the morning was beautiful and all the food was so fresh!
All in all our stay was amazing, the hosts were always one step ahead and couldn’t have done any more for us! We are already planning our next stay hopefully in the near future! Thank you for making us feel so at home in your own home! Nothing!
- Jason (10/5): A gorgeous place to stay, highly recommended. - Beautiful house in a beautiful location, with very friendly and helpful hosts. Only stayed one night but loved my time there, so peaceful and welcoming. Will definitely be back! Absolutely no complaints at all, apart from the fact that I didn't stay longer!
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aine (10/5): A beautiful stay in a peaceful setting with wonderful hosts who went the extra mile and were such fun to be around - A lovely, peaceful rural location that is nonetheless centrally located for nearby towns. The property is very nicely decorated and the rooms very spacious and airy. The real stars though are the hosts who we had such great fun and banter with and who provided a terrific big breakfast (catering very well for our various diets) - and the world’s friendliest dogs: Bonnie, Clyde and Bailey! Nothing
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Aine (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely stay in Glenvela, great hospitality. Great breakfast selection. Thank you!
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Ronald and his wife were very entertaining and welcoming they looked after us as a family. Appreciated that Roland went out his way for almond milk for me and provided a good spread for breakfast to set us up for the day. Hope to return in the future. Definitely recommend Glenvea Guest house...
- Joseph (10/5): A must stay above average Guest House. - The owners of the house are amazing. Friendly and chatty and certainly made you welcome. Going the extra mile to help.
They have 3 amazing wonderful friendly and non aggressive dogs, labs, and lab retriever, so friendly. The rooms are spacious and immaculate clean with shower ample towels and shampoo, etc. Comfortable beds and a fabulous made to order breakfast. Secure Easy parking and key to auto gates on arrival. Well maintained gardens. convenient to all locations.
Well worth looking at. Definitely will stay again.
Joe & Carol. Nothing not to like.
- Jeffes (10/5): THANK YOU FOR A FABULOUS STAY - Hoping you get equal joy out of hosting your guests. - We absolutely loved this beautiful rural location, lovely old home, beautiful setting, gorgeous views, the only sound is sheep bleating, a good chat with other guests at breakfast, and the warmth of the host who makes the best mugs of tea and cooked breakfasts we had anywhere in Ireland. A really memorable stay. Ask for the King Suite if free. We weren’t able to stay longer than the 7 nights we’d booked but would love to come back. I forgot to take photos 🤦♀️
- Lukas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (8/5): A jolly couple. Laughter at all times. Roger - Breakfasted at leisure. General all round repartee with hosts and other guests well above the norm. Breakfast extensive. More than sufficient and of a good standard Have a good SATNAV. Inability of self to find property. No fault of the host.
- Andrei (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (10/5): One of the best ever stays - We visited Ireland with great anticipation. to find some history about my grandfather's family history. What we didn't anticipate was finding this gem of a place to stay. Ron and Maureen treated us like long lost family friends. The room was just wonderful. Peaceful, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was 5". Ron just shines as a host. Maureen is so lovely. Nothing is too much for their guests. He truly gains great delight from ensuring you have the best experience. They've only been doing this for a short time. Without Ron telling us we would never have guessed. They have a perfect balance of friendliness but also knowing when to give guests space. If there is something you need, just ask. Ron sorts it in a flash. One of our bulbs went on the car. My husband asked if Ron had any tools. Within minutes then tools were available. Ron would have changed the bulb too if needed. I must mention the two Golden Retrievers Bailey and Bonnie and the black Labrador Clyde. Friendly gorgeous dogs. Ron and Maureen can secrete them away, if anyone is a bit wary of dogs. But we loved them so we're allowed strokes. I really hope we can come again. Thank you for making our trip so special.
- Ruth (10/5): First class - Brilliant Brilliant
