• Annia (9/5): - I slept in a capsule in the women’s dorm and felt really comfortable and safe. Norman, the manager, in particular, is incredibly warm, welcoming, and a great person to talk to. You can tell that everyone puts a lot of love and care into the hostel and into making sure you feel at home. From the rooftop, you have a fabulous view of the ocean and the mountains, and it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy the sunset. The nearest supermarket is about a 10-minute walk away, and in 15 minutes you can reach downtown Tamarindo or the beach. I highly recommend everyone stop by here.

• Sarah (10/5): - Het hostel zag er nieuw uit. Alles was schoon en netjes en leuk ingedeeld, personeel heeft mij geweldig geholpen met al mijn vragen en het plannen van mijn volgende bestemming. Het ligt iets verder van het strand. Je moet een heuveltje oplopen.

• Shannon (3/5): - The concept My specific capsule smelt like moth balls and body odour, resulting in me having to find other accommodations as the smell was unbearable. Additionally, from inside the capsule with the door closed I could clearly hear all conversations and movement. Was supposed to stay 3 nights and left my first night.
• Diane (8/5): Excellent for me - a single female traveller that just needed a safe, clean bed/shower. The staff are very friendly - My pod was pristine inside. I didn’t spend much time there except for sleeping/showering but there is a pool and it always appeared clean. Facilities are simple but clean and sufficient. There is a big hill on the road leading to Pupa House. It was fine for me but for those with mobility issues (or worn knees!) it could be challenging.

• Joice (7/5): - 1 - It would be good to have a note for guests to do not set the AC to a temperature higher than 24°C and to do not hide the control inside their pod. Once, we arrived at the room and the AC was set to 28°C and the control was hidden (it magically appeared the next day). 2 - One day we run out of water and I message the hostel through WhatsApp to get to know what was going on. I've never had a response through WhatsApp. The security guy just said that it was a problem of the whole Tamarindo. However, we hung out with people who were staying at other places in Tamarindo and they said that the water was normal. I think it was disrespectful to do not have aswered my message, explaining better what was going on exactly. 3 - The sink area needs a shelf to put your stuff while you are, for example, brushing your teeth. The shower area needs more hooks to hang your clothes while you are taking a shower. 4 - A full body mirror would be nice. There was none.
• Emanuel Carvajal (8/5): - On the positive side, I would especially like to highlight the receptionist. She was a very kind person, always with a smile and very helpful. From the first moment, she made me feel at home with her warm and welcoming attitude, which really made a difference during my stay. As for what could be improved, the parking situation might be a downside for some guests. The place does not have its own parking, so you need to park on the street. It was not a major issue, but it is something to keep in mind.
• HERIBERTO (10/5): - Son muy amables y siempre prestan buena atención. ¡Te relajas en la alberca y siempre resuelven tus dudas. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Jajajaja, los conectores sólo están en las cápsulas, pero igual podías ir a pedir que te cargarán el celular en la entrada.
• Moritz (7/5): - Friendly staff with a nice view from roof terrace where you can relax or have breakfast. There are no windows that you can open in the rooms so you are forced to sleep with the A/C turned on.

• Esteban (10/5): Bonita experiencia - Un concepto muy interesante y novedoso, personal súper amable y atento, el lugar limpio, el desayuno incluído en el precio era un poco básico pero estaba muy bueno y fue suficiente para mí. Habitación, baños y cápsula perfectamente limpias, todos los botones, luces y sensores para abrir la cápsula, cabina y lockers sirven bien, la cápsula es más cómoda y bonita de lo que parece. Sin duda volvería y lo recomiendo. Gracias a todo el personal por su excelente atención. El desayuno podía incluir algo más , era solamente pinto, huevo revuelto y plátano maduro. Pero estaba muy bien de sabor.

• Camila (4/5): Staff was kind, disorganized check-in and kept waiting outside in the dark for more than 2 hrs - On the positive side, once I finally reached the staff, they were kind and apologetic, doing their best to make up for the situation. While I appreciated their efforts, the initial experience of being left waiting in a dark area and the long delay was hard to overlook. The staff is friendly, but the disorganization and lack of communication can cause a lot of unnecessary stress. My stay at this hostel began with significant frustration. I was provided (via booking and email) with the wrong code to enter the building, leaving me stranded outside for 30 minutes in a lonely and dark neighborhood with all my luggage. It was an uncomfortable and unsettling experience, especially since I arrived well before the check-in closure time. Despite this, no one was available to assist with my check-in. To make things worse, I ended up waiting over an hour and a half for someone to help with the check-in process, and during that time, my messages were ignored. The lack of communication and organization added unnecessary stress to my stay.
• Roland (8/5): It‘s a good place to stay, if you want to save money and still enjoy your privacy. - The pupas were pretty cool! I wanted to try it and I was really surprised. They are pretty comfortable, noise resistant and more spacious than you might think. The ventilation system works well, so the air always keeps fresh and chill. You even can choose the color of the lights, Wifi also works well. And the privacy compared to dorms is definitely much better, great stuff. The roof top terrace and the butterfly garden are great to relaxe. The staff has been helpful with everything. Every guest just gets a small locker to put his stuff. There was no way for me to store my backbag. So I didn’t really know where to put my clothes and my wet stuff. During my stay the showers and toilets never have been cleaned. There where only a few people there, so it was no problem. The lock system on the outside door didn‘t work. Had to climb the fence twice at night. Was fun though. ;) No kitchen (as described).

• Emily (5/5): It was fine but had a lot to improve upon. - The rooms were as expected and the bar upstairs was nice. My pod was not properly cleaned. There were lots of hairs that were not mine and there was a dirty tissue. The locker was not great as it didn’t close all the way and left my items at risk. The staff was fine while I was there but it has been impossible to get a response from them about issues after I left. I’ve called, texted, emailed, and contacted over social media. I still have yet to receive a response.

• Mason (10/5): Exceptional - What an awesome stay. Could not recommend it more! Great location (15 minute walk from the beach and 10 minute walk from town). The hostel is so clean and tidy, the staff are incredibly kind and friendly, the pods are amazing!! If you're a solo traveller and you need a little privacy after staying in so many hostels, this is the perfect option. And on top of that the butterfly garden is just so cool. 10 out 10, will definitely stay here again when back in Tamarindo.
