- virginia (9/5): Perfect choice for a weekend by the sea! - Property was very comfortable with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds, quiet road and well equipped Nothing!!
- Kim (9/5): -
- Alexander (10/5): - Great location with good parking. Plenty of space inside the house.
- David (10/5): A very enjoyable stay in a lovely, listed, cottage - Wren House is a lovely, grade 2 listed cottage within a few minutes walk from Sidmouth town centre and a little further to the beach.
Beautifully decorated, well equipped to a high standard and very clean. There is very little to say here.
The access is via a fairly narrow entrance, but still do-able with a medium 4x4 with care.

- Monica (8/5): Very comfortable property and extremely helpful host Andy. -
- Anne Marie (10/5): -

- SANDRA (9/5): Comfortable and central to everything. - Beautifully decorated and maintained. Central to amenities so easy to walk and had parking.
- Caroline (8/5): Great place to stay in lovely Sidmouth - Lovely and comfortable cottage in a great location.Andy the owner met us on arrival and was friendly & helpful, quickly responding to a query we had. Off road parking a bonus although very tight between the pillars. Nothing, would definitely stay again.
- Laura (10/5): -
- Melanie (10/5): Everything was perfect. -
- Marion (9/5): Very comfortable stay - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Its location was ideal - an easy walk to the town centre, which made exploring very convenient. Parking directly outside the property was a real bonus and took away any stress about finding a space.
The cottage itself was immaculately clean and well-maintained. We were impressed by how thoughtfully it had been equipped - everything we needed was provided, which made our stay very comfortable. There was plenty of space for the two of us, never feeling cramped or cluttered.
Overall, this is a well-presented property that clearly benefits from attentive owners who care about their guests' experience. We'd happily recommend it to others visiting the area. Nothing springs to mind

- Marianne (9/5): We hope to return! - Great central location.
- Rebecca (9/5): -
- Darren (10/5): Beautiful property in a lovely location - Fabulous house, spotlessly clean and well equipped.
A few minutes walk from the seafront and a couple of minutes from the shops.
- Jim Simpson (10/5): - Very nice small house with parking.
Very good quality - new decoration.
Great for a couple.
Car parking.
Near shops & restaurants & cinema.
- Penny (9/5): Perfect, relaxing mini break. - This property is beautiful! Very stylish whilst managing to be comfortable and homely at the same time. It was also spotless. Its location is brilliant! We loved being able to walk into town and down to the seafront. The only thing we didn’t like was the heavy feather duvets and unsupportive pillows. This is obviously down to personal preference.
- iris dearden (10/5): - Wren House provided us with wonderful accommodation for our two night break. It felt like home from home and we could recommend it to anyone. It is well equipped, comfortably furnished and beautifully maintained. In fact it felt more spacious than the photos suggested. We would love to stay at Wren House again next year. Thank you Andy for your prompt responses and making this such an enjoyable stay.
- Yvonne (9/5): Exactly and more than we wanted. - Liked the location, owners and the cleanliness of the house. Duvet was not big enough and too thick but that is personal taste. Parking may be tricky for some.
- Tracey (10/5): Fantastic place to stay in a lovely town. - The cottage is cosy, modern, clean and very well equipped. The host Andy was friendly and very helpful. Thanks for a great stay. The weather!
- mary (9/5): Wonderful trip to sidmouth . - Lovely property, well equipped and helpful owners . Private parking space, close to town and short walk to the beach . N/a
- Mike (9/5): Fantastic location, host and accommodation - Owner lives 2 doors away and gave us the keys and showed us around the property and explained how things worked Outside chairs a little uncomfortable after a while and only 2 and there was three of us.
- Julian (10/5): - Breakfast not applicable.
Good location to reach further afield beaches and walking pathways.Nothing. Nothing
- Enric (9/5): -
- Christine (9/5): 3 nights break with a friend, we visited the local shops and cafes, and walked along the sea front. - The location was perfect, 7/8 minutes walk to the main street and the sea. The accommodation was excellent, beautifully clean & very comfy. The only downside was reversing my car on to the gravel drive between the 2 stone walls! But great to have the parking.
- Sarah (10/5): Wonderful - Everything was perfect, especially the garden. Nothing
- Frankie (9/5): Superb -
- Shona (10/5): Exceptional -

- Julie (8/5): Very good - excellent
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Great property with a great owner! - Great location and facilities. Very happy with the accommodation. Only source of heat was the central heating. Ideally a separate source of heat would have been useful in the lounge.
- Kayne (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great, place was spotless, Could not fault
- Lorna (10/5): Perfect getaway! - Lovely house. Perfect location. Comfiest beds we have ever had away from home!
- Morgan (9/5): Great overall accommodation. Would recommend. - The location for our needs was ideal, with an off street parking space a real bonus in Sidmouth. The kitchen was very well equipped, the living space ample for our needs on this trip. Two rooms and two showers was good as we had an extra person stay (with permission) . The hosts were quick to respond when we had a question or issue. I'm allergic to feathers and needed the pillows replacing , this was done within an hour. The outside seating was a tad 'old and tired' . Thankfully in March it wasn't used much.
- Allan (9/5): great stay for exploring sidmouth and surrounding area would definately book again - excellent location for the town especially including Parking
useful pamphlets on local amenities and attractions
nice little courtyard
well maintained
excellent communication bath towels could of been larger
lack of toiletries
Ideally a kingsize bed , found it a little small
sofa not extremely comfortable for any length of time
a little more attention to cleaning the kitchen glass roof more regularly
- Ian (10/5): Lovely place and a place to return to - Location and layout

- Karine (10/5): A fantastic place to stay. - A lovely house, newly refurbished, very clean and comfortable, very close to the seafront and great little streets with quant shoes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A friendly and helpful host. Nothing ! All great !
- Clive (8/5): A very enjoyable autumn break, thank you. - Excellent location for shops, seafront, cinema and the Byes. Comfortable bed. It is uncomfortable to watch tv from the sofa, you get a crick in the neck! Lounge and diner lighting rather inadequate.
- Robert (10/5): Fantastic property - Beautiful property with excellent fit and finish. Great location too, perfect base to explore. Nothing bad, just be careful of the driveway entrance it's quite narrow!
- Anne-marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (9/5): Superb -
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely clean and comfortable house. Great location to the town and beach. Nothing at all!
- Luisa (10/5): Excellent - Andy was very friendly and professional The house is just fabulous. Very high standard - N/A Everything was perfect
- Ruth (9/5): Comfortable house in a fantastic location for the town and sea front. - Great location with an easy/quick walk into town and to the sea front. Well equipped house - great kitchen facilities and fantastic walk in showers. Parking for one car a bonus. The gap between walls to get onto the drive is narrow. We have a small car so it wasn't a problem but I think large cars would struggle. Good quality duvets on the beds but a bit thick for the time of year.
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely accommodation, facilities fantastic
Nice garden to sit in.
Location ideal in a perfect spot, to access and explore sidmouth, and greater area. Parking good 👍 drive tight on arrival and departing. But great to have car park space.
Just take it slow when you arrive.
- Claire (10/5): It was a perfect place to stay and a lovely base for exploring Sidmouth. We wish we could stay longer. - The location is perfect with the river a couple of minutes away and easy 10 min walk to seafront.
Wren house was exceptionally clean and Andy is a great host showing us the property when we arrived.
The bedding is super comfortable we didn’t want to get up!
- Jonathan (8/5): A great location, beautifully equipped house with everything you need for a lovely stay in this pretty seaside town - Fantastically well equipped, super clean and attractive. Brilliantly situated for town centre, beach, amenities Beds too narrow and a bit uncomfortable. Driveway a little tight to park a family size vehicle but these are minor comments
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (9/5): We stayed in wren house for a couple of days for visiting friends and playing golf…It was a lovely clean place to stay i - Of road parking, clean, tidy and comfortable house in a great location within easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, bakeries and seafront.
- Margaret-anna (9/5): Pleasant, great quality property in excellent location. - Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, good access to the town. Small courtyard to sit outside.
Very clean efficient kitchen facilities. Would have liked a king sized bed in main bedroom rather than double. Parking was difficult to drive into and out of due to narrow wall on entrance and then had to back up onto main road.
- Mark (10/5): Perfect location and very comfortable cottage to come to in the evening - Excellent location, perfect for a couple to visit Sidmouth Nothing
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (9/5): Lovely accomadation in an excellent location - NA Nothing really it was a lovely house in an excellent location
- Renfrew (8/5): Very good -
- Deb (9/5): Superb - Beautifully maintained, clean, excellent location. Narrow drive entrance
- Martin (8/5): A lovely, relaxing, no fuss stay in the traditional seaside town of Sidmouth - Great central location for Sidmouth.
Nice family friendly space.
Host Andy was very friendly and helpful.
Local food recommendations - The Courtyard for a great breakfast, Ice Cream Paradise with over 30 flavours and the White Horse Cafe for some fantastic Fish & Chips.
No pet smell was an added bonus. Sadly no guest book to hear about local recommendations for days out and places to eat.
Additional towels would have added a more comfortable feel to the property.
A welcome pack in addition to the supplied tea, coffee and toilet rolls, would also have been a nice touch e.g. MIlk, Bread, biscuits etc.
A handy tip for medium to large car drivers is to reverse into the slightly narrow drive entrance.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (9/5): Superb - It’s smart, clean and tidy Nothing
- Kerry (9/5): Great location for walking the Coastal Path. The cottage is very nice , clean and has all you would need. The small rear - Good location, secure parking, very clean cottage with all the facilities you could need. Nothing
- Helen (9/5): The cottage was perfect for two friends sharing, especially as there were two bathrooms. - Wren cottage is tucked away in a quiet side street, but only 4 minutes away from a small supermarket and High Street. The owner was very helpful and unlocked the door and showed us around the cottage, answering any questions we had. We were happy with everything in the cottage.
- Philip (9/5): Excellent - Ideally close for my intended visit Flush valve on toilet sticking
- Clare (3/5): Freezing Cold - literally and figuratively. - It was clean and very close to the town centre. It was very cold and we weren't able to turn the heating up, we had to phone the owner as only he had access to the controls.
The stairs were a lot steeper than average, the kitchen and bathroom were badly laid out making both areas difficult to use.
The entrance to the driveway was very narrow, barely wide enough for our car to get through.
- Graham (9/5): Very Good - N/A Toilet kept continually flushing and could hear heating come on in the morning.
- James (10/5): Convenient, clean, comfortable like home from home l - Everything met our expectations so nothing we did not like
- Karen (10/5): Perfect - Great location
Beautiful decoration.

- Vanessa (10/5): Caring and kind hosts, excellent accommodation in a perfect location. - Collected the keys from my host Andy who then should me to the property, explained everything to me. Andy was very mindful of the cold weather, and the heating was arranged to keep the house warm and cosy, which it did.
- James (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at Wren the property and the location was perfect -
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Perfect stay, great property, we will definitely be re booking again - The property is clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location close to everything. Nothing it was perfect
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional - The property was in a great location and was very well appointed. Entrance to the property was a little tight, when reversing out onto the road you needed someone to see you out.
However, this would not stop me from booking again. Why
- Jo (9/5): Superb - It's very convenient for the town and the beach and also to visit family.
- Kate (9/5): Superb -
- Jayne (9/5): Great location and nice modern features - Location and how well equipped it was for a holiday rental I would of liked somewhere to hang the washing outside.
