• Sanjay (10/5): A little piece of heaven! - We had a delightful one-night stay at this little hotel run by two friendly locals. Among the highlights were the fresh, homemade and delicious breakfast - fresh fruit, local curd, coconut crepes etc - and the lovely garden that is full of birds and a resident giant squirrel. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Full of simple pleasures, a short walk away from the Rekawa beach. Not a ton of things to do in the area, except walks on the beach and the turtle watch.
• Mark (10/5): Outstanding tranquil luxury in lush setting - Really lovely welcoming hosts. Friendly but not trying to upsell, just genuine guys. Massive room surrounded by lush garden full of animals and exotic plants. Great birdwatching, tried tamarind from one of the trees and also saw giant black squirrel. Other options to eat nearby and beach less then 10 min walk. Stay here, you won't regret it. Absolutely nothing.

• Martin (10/5): Naprosto skvělé ubytování s úžasným personálem - Jedním slovem úžasné. Od samotného přivítání, péče po celou dobu pobytu konče bohatou, několika-chodovou a především úžasně lahodnou snídaní. V pokoji velkým plusem barel pitné vody k dispozici. Velká a čistá koupelna s dobrým tlakem vody a dostatkem teplé vody. Pozorným bonusem byl v pokoji strojek na odpuzování komárů. Pohodlné postele s příjemnými polštáři. Prostorná terasa v krásné tropické zahradě. V docházkové vzdálenosti skvělá rodinná restaurace Ruwani pro případ, že se host nehodlá stravovat přímo v ubytování, kde na požádání rovněž připraví večeři. Ze strany personálu je cítit upřímná starost o hosta a jeho spokojenost, za celý personál extra poděkování Chamimu. Nikdo z personálu netlačí na doplňkové služby ubytování, např. výlety po okolí apod., které vám ale samozřejmě na požádání poskytnou. že tam člověk nezůstal déle :)
• Zbigniew (10/5): Pobyt niezwykle udany dzięki cudownej Rodzinie , która dba o swoich gości i otaczającą przyrodę ! - Od samego przyjazdu miejsce nas zauroczyło ; sympatyczni gospodarze powitali nas kwiatami i sokiem , obiekt położony jest w cudownym ogrodzie pełnym ptaków . Pokoje są bardzo wygodnie i elegancko urządzone , z dużymi balkonami ; gdzie rozkoszowaliśmy się otaczającą przyrodą : po gałeziach skaczą male wiewiórki . Na miejscu serwowane są pyszne śniadania z lokalnych produktów , również lunch i diner przygotowane na zamówienie , bardzo smaczne i elegancko podawane . W bliskiej odległości znajduje się plaża ,na której samiczki żółwia zielonego składają jaja , byliśmy pod koniec lutego i co noc odbywał się ten spektakl, który można obserwować , gospodarz informuje kiedy pojawiają się żółwie . Można je też zobaczyć podczas kąpieli na pobliskiej , uroczej plaży . Po miesiącu podróży po Sri Lance uznaliśmy to miejsce za najlepsze ! Nazwa Heaven in Satinwoods jest adekwatna ! Przedłużyliśmy nasz pobyt I na zawsze zachowamy w pamięci ! Ewa i Zbyszek Absolutnie wszystko było idealne !
• Vaness' Lenid (10/5): - Tout s'est bien passé. Un super accueil avec un collier de fleur, une serviette fraîche (après 2h de route le top) qui sentait très bon et le sourire des hôtes. Le personnel est sympathique, discret et donne de bons conseils. La chambre est spacieuse avec de petites mais importantes attentions (bombonne d'eau, climatisation, petites fleurs déposées, lampe pour marcher le soir, prise à moustique) La pression de l'eau est super avec de l'eau chaude rapidement. Le petit déjeuner était excellent en compagnie des écureuils, oiseaux et perroquets. Très honnêtement un super rapport qualité prix. Merci beaucoup pour ce court séjour ! Rien tout était parfait

• Karen (10/5): Un séjour absolument parfait dans un cadre idyllique - Séjour absolument merveilleux ! Le logement est parfait, très confortable, et le cadre est tout simplement magnifique. Le jardin est un véritable petit paradis, avec de nombreux animaux qui rendent l’endroit encore plus magique et dépaysant. Les hôtes sont exceptionnels, d’une gentillesse et d’une attention incroyables. Ils m’ont aidée à organiser l’anniversaire surprise de mon mari en allant chercher un gâteau et en mettant une musique d'anniversaire, avec beaucoup de soin et de bienveillance. Une expérience parfaite du début à la fin, que nous recommandons les yeux fermés. Merci pour tout !
• Bartek_G (10/5): - Kameralny obiekt z pięknym ogrodem. Pokoje usytuowane tak, że dają dużo prywatności. Obsługa przemiła i bardzo pomocna. Bardzo dobre śniadania w czasie których można podziwiać ptaki przychodzące do ogrodu. Plaża w odległości 5 minut spacerem. Dojazd do Tangalle zajmuje 15 minut tuk-tukiem. Polecam jeżeli szukasz cichego i spokojnego miejsca

• Helen (10/5): Tranquil location near Rekawa Beach - The property has four rooms, which all have a balcony overlooking the beautiful garden area (filled with birds, chipmunks, peacocks and is wonderfully relaxing to listen to). It was nice to have the outside area to eat dinner one evening (which was wonderfully cooked and price on par with the restaurants in the area!), or to use the space to read and listen to birds or to hang dry clothes from the beach. The room was large with plenty of storage space; great aircon that did not blow directly onto the bed. The bathroom looked new and was clean. I asked for an extra bath towel and got it - as well as was able to borrow a beach towel. Room also had a 5L water bottle which was amazing for refilling my water bottle or using for brushing teeth/boiling water! Breakfast was different each morning with different fruit juices; eggs and toast; and sweet treats. It was nice to eat whilst watching the wildlife in the garden also eating the food left out by the staff. The place is a 10minute walk to the beach to see the turtles - great that there was a torchlight and large umbrella in the room, which I used in the evenings as not all alleys are lit. Finally, Chami, Dumee and the team were truly wonderful and went the extra mile for me - be it always being available via WhatsApp for support, taking me on scooter rides to the beach and to see the temple or bringing me a coconut and treats upon arrival back at the hotel. Nothing - you have to know it’s isolated (opposite the lagoon and close to the beach but not a lot around) but that was what I was looking for, so that’s not a negative for me. :-)
• Diane (9/5): Heaven indeed! - This is a really beautiful tranquil place to spend some time relaxing away from busier Tangalle. Chami and his family are perfect hosts making you feel right at home. The room I stayed in was the best room I’d had in Sri Lanka at this price point. Breakfast and all meals were tasty and big portions! Rekawa Beach rock pools are a 10 minute walk away and the safe swimming area 15 minutes. It is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen and turtle watching is a must! Thank you so much :)

• Angelia (10/5): Just a perfect place to stay and right at the Rekawa beach which is still quite unknown and empty. - First and foremost the host and his team are doing everything to make you feel comfortable and are welcoming every guest with a big and open heart. We, for example, had a problem with the oil in our Tuktuk so the guys immediately drove us to a place to fix it. The rooms are very clean and quite spacious compared to other accommodations in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was great and included several courses. If needed you can also have dinner at this place, which was amazing. Especially the fried eggplant salad (brinjal sambol) was heavenly! You can tell the team any wishes for food, drinks and beyond (e.g. laundry, room service, new towels). We can absolutely recommend this place and would for sure come back here next time we visit Sri Lanka! And last but not least a big shout out goes out to Chamni who is the most amazing manager and cook at this place - keep up the great work Chamni & team! -

The peace and quiet and all the green surroundings made us wish we could have stayed longer. We were greeted with flowers and the room and breakfast table was also nicely decorated with flowers. • Shirley (9/5): A great place to stay surrounded by lush greenery and very close to a stunning unspoilt beach - Very spacious and comfortable suite with an enormous terrace overlooking the lush jungle garden. The manager and staff were all delightful snd so helpful. Hot water was in short supply. The hotel relies on solar power and it was quite overcast when we were there. A back up system would be beneficial.
• Romana (10/5): Amazing and peaceful stay - Everything was amazing here and we felt like at home. Very quiet and comfortable stay and lovely owners. Breakfast was huge and delicious. WiFi worked very well and we loved that each room had own drinkable water in big canisters inside the room so we didn’t have to worry about anything. Lots of flower decorations everywhere which makes stay very lovely, we stayed 4 nights and if they weren’t fully booked we would extended the stay without doubt. This was the best stay we had during our trip in Sri Lanka and no wonder this place has such a nice reviews.
• Hannah (10/5): I didn’t want to leave! <3 - This is was of the most special travel stays I’ve ever had! What makes it so exceptional is the staff - Dalu, the owner & Chami, the manager. They are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet, and looked after me like a Queen! It was lovely to feel so comfortable & cared for as a woman travelling on her own. The hotel is set in a beautiful, lush garden with lots of tropical flora & fauna, and you can spot giant squirrels, parrots, peacocks etc just outside your balcony! And it’s just a short (and lovely) walk from the totally unspoilt beach. Dalu decorated my room and breakfast table with fresh flowers everyday, and the food was so delicious - incredible river prawns for dinner, and a gorgeous local breakfast. The room is very spacious, with a comfortable bed, great shower & AC! Dalu & Chami showed me lots of real local life that you wouldn’t usually see as a tourist - fishermen at work in the early morning, a birdwatching tour at dusk & we even saw endangered turtles hatching their eggs on the beach at night - a truly unique experience I’ll remember forever. Thank you Dalu & Chami for creating such a wonderful place - I really hope I can return someday :)
• Vivian (10/5): Exceptional - This place was magical. We had a wonderful stay with the best staff you can possibly imagine. They will do anything to make sure you have a great time. The food was marvellous, the room was super spacious and clean. The garden is wonderful, you can even see parrots and so many squirrels. They even cleaned our tuktuk, made us lunch boxes and prepared a special new years dinner and breakfast for us. We totally recommend coming here!
• Johannes (10/5): It was our third time at Heaven in Satinwoods and we are already looking forward to the fourth time! This place is the b - Thank you Chami and Dalu for another wonderful time (3rd time) at your place! We will for sure come back again a fourth time!! It is not possible to describe how special this place is and we highly recommend everyone to come here and experience it yourself. Heaven in Satinwoods is our favorite place in Sri Lanka and also the food here is just the best that you can get. So if you come to this place, you should definitely try the rice and curry. From the first second we arrived at this place, we felt like staying in paradise. We were welcomed with a fresh juice, some wet towels to refresh our faces and a flower necklace. The rooms are very spacious, there is an A/C in every apartment and it is very clean. Also you have drinking water in the room, so you don’t need to buy water. You can just bring empty water bottles and reuse them, which is really great. Also this place has a wonderful garden with many beautiful trees, plants and flowers and you can watch many different animals like giant squirrels and really beautiful birds! For us this place feels like home and Dalu and Chami feel like family! Again, thank you for everything and see you next year! Lots of love, Anni and Joe Nothing, it is perfect!
• Juha (10/5): This place is the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. - This was our first stay here, but not the last! We extended our stay for more nights because this place is so wonderful. We loved every single detail here - the rooms are clean and chill thanks to A/C. There is water, tea, coffee and water boiler in the room. You get fresh juice, refreshing towel and flower necklace when you arrive. The tables are also decorated with flowers and there were so many different things on the menu which you can order here. And the food, rice and curry, was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Same with the breakfast so it was also our favourite. You can get also really good coffee here! The nature around is beautiful and they are taking so good care of the plants and animals. We saw for example giant squirrel and so many beautiful birds during our stay. It’s nice to swim at the Rock Pool Beach, which is close. We have travelled a lot and this is the only place we can really say feels like home. The most important thing which makes this place so special are the people - special thanks to Dalu and Chami. They are the most friendly and helpful people, we had a great time with them. They make this place a paradise where you want to return again and again. Nothing, this place is perfect.
• Damian (9/5): Lush garden, ideal to relax - Beautifully located boutique hotel just a throw of a stone from the Rekawa Beach and turtle watching facilities. It is super eco and you can clearly see that the owners take great care of the animals and plants in the garden. Highly recommended! With the perfectly chilled-out vibe of the place, we wish there were hammocks or sunbeds at terraces of the apartment. This could allow guests to relax even more!
• Jendrek (10/5): Exceptional - The best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka (we stayed in 7 hotels so we gained some background) - very abundant and freshly made to our request, but the crème de la crème was fresh curds from the local village - a long forgotten experience of my childhood. Walking distance to the beach, super pro-active staff, turtle beach in nearby.

• Josie (10/5): Would highly recommend. - This was one of our favourite stays whilst in Sri Lanka. Room was spacious and super clean with the best shower. Staff were helpful and friendly, had an amazing breakfast each day, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely peaceful unspoilt location. Short walk to a beautiful quiet beach with a rock pool area for swimming. Couple of beach bars for a sun lounger, drinks and seafood. Lagoon across the way with lots of birds and short walk to the turtle sanctuary in the evening where we saw turtles laying eggs.

The manager & his staff are all so friendly & helpful to the extent of the manager sending his father in a tuk tuk a round trip of over 75 k to retrieve the binoculars we had left at Bundalla. Room is spacious with good size balcony. Walking distance to nice beach. Breakfast & dinner excellent. Altogether a special experience - we loved it. Nothing
• Inge (10/5): 150% recommendable! Marvelous and best stay! - The name is exactely what it is! HEAVEN! From the first warm welcome by Dumee, Chami and Dalu with big smiles, flowers and a coconut to the last good bye hugs, we had a marvelous stay! The best in Sri Lanka! Everything was just perfect! The room and bathroom were spacious, with a beautiful terrace and very tasteful furniture, all decorated daily (!) with fresh flowers. Breakfast was the best also, in a lush setting surrounded by plants in the middle of the garden. We had two great dinners with fresh fish, which Dumee cooked deliciously! All he did was made with loads of love, every little detail was just simply perfect! Dumee is also very knowledgeable about the region, shared lots of information. The beach with the rock pools in 10 minutes walking distance is amazing! Quiet, with a chilled restaurant, very cool! —-

With a wardrobe to hide the clothes (what is not common) and a very nice terrace. I highly recommend this place A bit monotonous breakfast, but it hasn't affected our opinion.

• Caroline (10/5): The name is pretty apt, perfect touches to make your stay special. - The room had everything I needed, little touches that I had missed in other similarly priced accommodation I had experienced in Sri Lanka. Loved breakfast, and so beautifully presented. Staff were so helpful and genuinely seemed to care about my experience. My first thoughts were that it was too remote for me with little to do , but you can soon get used to the pace and find the tucked away places to enjoy.
• David (10/5): Great stay - fantastic host! - Dumee, who runs this place, is such a nice man. He contacted us before we arrived to offer dinner which was delicious. He dropped us off on his motorbike when we were in a hurry, and even offered us fuel for our tuk tuk. Nothing really - but there’s no pool or facilities to speak of but the rooms are really nice and clean.
• Christopher (10/5): The best comfort in the jungle, eager to stay again. - The relaxed feeling is immediate as soon as you enter the walking path and head to the rooms. Dumi and his staff are exceptional. They are very attentive and friendly and had the best recommendations. Each morning, breakfast was fresh and tasty. We had dinner there as well and it was the best meal all week. Highly highly recommend this place. The fact we had to leave.

• Franziska (10/5): Relaxing in the jungle - We were there for 3 nights and one of us got very sick. The staff was absolutely lovely, helped us, even went to hospital with us and waited until all the procedures were finished. The food is really good but I think we didn’t get the full experience since we both were not in a good situation to eat or drink a lot. The rooms are very clean and pretty comfortable. The hotel itself is pretty extraordinary because of the jungle like garden with monkeys and big squirrels visiting. They don’t bother anybody, cause they mainly eat the plants of the trees. Like a little jungle near the beach Nothing.
• Nick (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful accommodation close to beach. We loved staying here and would have stayed longer if the weather was better. The rooms are so clean and modern. Set in a jungle with beautiful plants and shrubs. The hosts Dumee and Dulloo are both really nice and friendly and were always there to service our needs or just have a chat. They cooked us an amazing dinner with grilled fish and salads and breakfast was also very fresh and satisfying. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay somewhere close to the Turtle Hatching beach nearby. Nothing..everything was great.
• Shivani (10/5): Relaxing stay at a green haven with amazing food - I was initially skeptical of the all 10 star reviews on here but man they surpassed all my expectations when I got there. Rooms are big and clean, I checked in quite late at night and the manager Dumee was there to help. The food was AMAZING, and catered very well to my vegan requests. Dumee took me around Rekawa beach and showed me the untouched beaches and the marsh land for birdwatching. The property is abundant with greenery and sitting outside on the balcony at breakfast with the sound of the birds and the rain was pure bliss. If I ever find myself in that area, this is the only place I will stay. Dumee is super experienced in hospitality and the service during my stay showed a lot. Thanks for everything! Keep in mind this place is quite remote, perfect for a nature get away but don’t expect to walk around and find shops, restaurants etc especially during the low season.

We recommend this place to everyone. It’s hard to find the right words to describe, how wonderful staying in this accommodation is; it’s not only about the stunning garden and the beautiful apartments, besides that you will meet the most wonderful, kind and big hearted people. Dalu, Chami and Dumee made our stay an unforgettable experience 🤍 Furthermore, you have to try dinner at this place. Here you get the best rice and curry and the best khottu in Sri Lanka (at least that’s what we think after having tried a lot of different rice and curry during our trip). After staying here, our hearts are full!! Everything is perfect!!!

• Meghna (10/5): Best Stay in Sri Lanka - This is the best property we have stayed in the Sri Lanka. Beautiful garden and luxuriously big rooms with balcony. Dumi, the manager helped us with everything and also booked our turtle hatching watching at night. It is very close to lagoon and Rekawa Beach. Quiet Location. Breakfast was so fancy and delicious. Loved the stay and would recommend this place 100%. Nothing
• Lucy (10/5): Exceptional - This is like a boutique hotel and you are treated like royalty by Dumi and staff. They really want you to have the best stay. The food was very tasty, always three courses and presented so nicely. Facilities like WiFi, hot shower, huge bedroom, big private balcony and garden. All fab. We stayed more than originally planned because it was such a luxury ✨️
