- Andjelkovic (6/5): Was ok. - Location and the owner of the property. Staff. She wasn't nice enough. I didn't have the impression that I was welcome. She was particularly rude about the washing machine and charged us 5 euros for using it. 5 e for 10 minutes of use. After all, we washed towels from accommodation that did not look clean. And which we used for the third day in a row.
- David (7/5): Decent budget option - This is a very
Cheap but comfortable hostel or hotel very convenient for bus and ferry connections. I had one niggle: the door locks were old and awkward. In general the place was a little shabby but perfectly comfy. Door locks.
- Ana Paula (10/5): Wonderful and comfortable stay - Everything.
The location, close to bus stops, a delicious bakery next door. Quiet area.
The house is very cozy and comfortable and Maja and Meire was super nice and attentive to the guests.

- Noah (6/5): A good hotel to use on your way to somewhere else - Not very expensive, allowed me to check in by myself at 1am which was nice. The locks were very hard to use and the lock to my room did not feel that secure.

- DaveSpears (10/5): A perfect stay ,clean, cozy, and in an amazing location. Highly recommended! 🌟 - The place was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was very friendly and responsive, making check-in super easy. The location was perfect , close to the sea, shops, and restaurants. Everything was great overall.

- Krzysztof (7/5): - Lokalizacja i czystosc.
Bliska odległość do sklepu spożywczego.
3min drogi do przystanku autobusowego i promu. Obiekt wymaga remontu(zwłaszcza druga łazienka).
Niesprawny zamek do drzwi wejściowych do pokoju.
- Giuseppe (7/5): - definitely a good location, close to the sea and the port. the doors, there was a bit of wind and my door tended to open slightly and slam, even though it was closed

- Ekta (2/5): If you are a solo traveller then it’s a big no. However, might be good for a group of people those who are under budget. - The owner of the property was a sweet person and location is good. The host at the property (the helper) was rude and wasn’t very helpful. She didn’t like me asking her anything. I haven’t even ask for WiFi password haha she was that unfriendly. Guests should feel comfy and the first step towards that is through host when you are at some new country. It creates a major difference, especially when you have solo travellers as well.
- Ruben (1/5): Bad - Nothing. We were not able to sleep due to the noise.
- Borka (1/5): Very bed - Lokacion Nothing, 100 years old, no air conditioning, 40 degrees, everything in decay.
I came with two children at 9:00, we didn't enter the app until 13:00 and the cleaning lady took a picture of us and I don't know who she sent it to, while we were in the living room waiting to get into the room.
- Dimitar (8/5): Very good - Great location! The most unresponsive host ever!
I've asked multiple questions and didn't receve any reply.
- Gabriela (10/5): I'll come back here - What I liked the most about the hostel was the cozy, home-like atmosphere – everything was so colorful, warm, and welcoming. I really felt like someone had invited me into their home and made sure every little detail was beautiful and pleasant. At first, I had some trouble closing the door, but the staff responded very quickly and helped me right away. I really appreciated their kindness and efficiency!
- Leonard (9/5): Superb - Great central place in central Sliema, very good value for money
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Location is excellent. Good value.
- Mohit (8/5): Very good -
- Necz (8/5): overall it was great:) - very fun and cosy! located close to everything, clean, and also we didnt know that the plugs are different in Malta than in Europe but in our room thankfully there were plugs that we could use too:) so we didnt have to buy a transformator it is old so the locks are a bit hard to use but once you get the hang of it you will be fine
also because the windows are old cold comes in but! the blankets were very warm and as a person who is always cold it was a blessing to have a big warm blanket
also it is loud yes, and the bakery under the house is loud but easiest soulution: earplugs! we slept with earplugs in and it was all fine and could get decent sleep
- Viktorija (8/5): It’s a perfect for those on a budget and having good relaxed vibes :) When you are in Malta for beeing out :) - I liked the artistic approach to interior, colours and that hippie style :) Very authentic place. Has a terrace for morning coffees.
The place is near to Sliema marina with ferries to Valletta, and bus stops to whenever you want.
Our stay was still in winter (the end of February, 2025) so it was nice to have additional blanket as windows were not the ones that hold chilly night weather ;) The door and windows’ locks were not proper but area looked very safe, so it’s alright :)
You can use washing mashing only with the help of facility supervising lady :)
- Zygmunt (9/5): Superb - Great location, friendly host
- Essa (1/5): Bad -
- Jaroslava (2/5): It definitely does not match the rating what is here on Booking. - The only nice thing was the bedding which was soft and smelled nicely and the kitchen is not so bad. The house and its equipment are quite old and it is obvious that it has been used for a long time without doing any reparations, some things need to be repaired. A socket and a lamp with exposed electrical cables, the door of the room cannot be closed properly, so the light from the hallway passes through the gaps into the room, the doors and windows are not sealed and you can hear noise from the whole house and the street.
The worst thing is that there is a bakery right next door, our room was right next door and from 1a.m. until the morning we had to listen to very loud banging from the bakery and a noisy fan, which was so bad that we could not even sleep some nights. The noise could be heard through the windows and even through the walls.
I was surprised that this accommodation has such a high rating because I would expect much more for this rate. It is cheap, but you will not be able to sleep, it was definitely not worth it.
- Guero (9/5): Superb -
- Daria (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kristaps (10/5): A fantastic stay with a welcoming staff, great location, and a comfortable atmosphere. - An exceptional experience from start to finish! The place was spotless, warm, and incredibly inviting, instantly making us feel comfortable. The staff were beyond friendly, ensuring a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay. Communication was flawless, making everything effortless, and the check-in and check-out process was seamless and stress-free. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, exceeding all expectations—truly a five-star experience. Highly recommended! N/A
- Arda (8/5): Very good -
- Su (8/5): Lovely room with good price - Room Decoration, Facilities, Kitchen Noisy neighbourhood in the early morning
- Kylie (8/5): Very good - great location. nothing fancy but clean and good place to sleep at night.
- Rafik (8/5): Great place overall! - Staff's friendliness
Perfect location in Sliema Was a bit hard for me to self checkin with that key holder not opening easily and the door requiring a specific 'technique' to be opened
- Victor (5/5): Passable - Location Old house and beds
- Tshiala (6/5): 2 days in Malta - The location is close to everything, very easy to move around with transportation or by walk. Many restaurants, cafes and shop closed by and the ferries for many excursions.
The owner is available to help and give advice as well as the girls who help her.
I found them very friendly.
It's clean and you can use the fridge and the kitchen if you want to. I think it need a refurbishment as it is a bit old as property, the bad was not very comfortable and one of the bathroom had only hot water from the sink.
- Tjaša (5/5): Great but the night was hot and loud. - The kitchen and the closeness to the center. The AC and the bakery “neighbour” nightly sounds.
- Veska (4/5): Disappointing - location too loud
- Gabriela (7/5): Good -
- Zbynek (8/5): Very good -
- Elizaveta (6/5): Pleasant - Location Loudly, especially in the morning. The water in bathroom or cold or very warm
- El (4/5): Disappointing - Room To much noise.
- Jo (10/5): Quirky colourful friendly accommodation - Really perfect location, safe, friendly helpful staff, easy check in, great for sol female traveller, kitchen had vintage theme. Really enjoyed my stay.
- Delta (9/5): Superb -
- K (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Demet (6/5): Pleasant - The room was super spacious and luminous. The staff was very helpful and friendly! For those who are hyper-sensitive to noise like myself, I wouldn’t recommend this facility as there’s a bakery shop next door and they work at night. It was quite noisy between 1 am to 6 am.
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Ihab (9/5): Superb -
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Costa (2/5): Very poor - The owner very sweet and welcoming but the structure is too old and neglected on some aspects. moreover, I think it is unacceptable in 2023 to offer such a structure without air conditioning, my colleague and I spent a night of hell.
- Fauzyya (7/5): Good -
- Petkovic (6/5): Pleasant - The location was good and my room (Orange room) was cosy and nice. The smell of fresh bread from the bakery besides the accommodation was a plus. Some guests (I assume they were guests, but I'm not certain) were extremely loud for quite some time at around 2 am, so it was impossible to sleep. On top of that, the bakery opens rather early, so it's quite noisy from early in the morning.
- Ekaterina (8/5): Good for an economy stay - Very good low-budget option in Sliema. I stayed for one night, as for the next week I had a corporate booking for an event. Yet, it went well. I had a good night's sleep. The street is very quiet, however, very close to the shops, cafes, etc. The communication with the hosts was spotless. Not too clean: there was hair on the floor found later on my socks. The neighbors were a bit noisy at 1 am.
- Mate (8/5): Very good -
- Tatjana (8/5): Friendly hostel like accommodation in a great location - The location was the best. The room was spacious . The internet was pretty good. The lack of electric plugs and old beds. Lack of some basic utilities in the kitchen, like cups, knives... But for the price you pay, all is great! :)
- Jelena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lovro (10/5): Great value for money! -
- Lucia (10/5): Exceptional - Great location near the ferry to Valletta, quiet street, next to a bakery.
- Antonela (9/5): Great location, feels like home - The place has a great location, the bus stops are really close, you have supermarkets and bars. The place was nice, clean and the service was great, there were just a few people so we had the place almost for ourselfs.
- Gates (6/5): Pleasant -
- Omer (10/5): Exceptional - It's an old house with a very nice atmosphere and good spirit. There is a girl who is taking care of the cleanliness and the house is kept clean all the time . They are also very friendly and helpful. I didn't know how to lock the room door but after they explained I could lock it without any problem. The room was so spacious and very clean too .
- Davespears (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean place with a very good price !
Only a few metres away from everything that you need bus stop , restaurants, bars , shops and the beach I liked everything
- Anonymous (2/5): Horrible and unacceptable - There are shopping facilities within walking distance. Basically everything else. It’s just uninhabitable and the place is so run-down as you would expect in a developing country. The condition of the bathrooms has passed the point where you can clean to make it clean because everything falls apart and is moldy and half-fixed. It was so bad I booked a hotel and rather paid double the price than staying there longer. It’s a lot to go on about, but my advice is: Just don’t do it, you will regret it.
- Chrissy (9/5): Five Trees Silema - I liked the proximity to the Silema ferries, restaurants, buses and shops. The house was old but felt so welcoming and had cooking facilities and a large communal living room. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. There is even a little outdoor area to relax. I helped myself to their books. The house has lots of character as well as a laptop to use, plus lots of other info for guests to read like time tables, restaurants menu and maps.
I felt very secure being a solo traveller and was grateful for the sensor lights so was never in the dark inside.
I loved my stay here and the owner, Maja is a nice lady. Nothing.
- Alena (7/5): Good -
- Connor (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (5/5): Good enough for one day. - Our room was spacious (purple room). And the bed was comfortable with clean bedlinen. So that was positive. The lock of our room door didn't lock good. The bathrooms were not up to my standards. And i didn't see any staff during my stay.
- Eisay (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (8/5): Very good - i loved my little orange room, the beautiful staircase and the rooftop area well… not being allowed to throw toiletpaper in the bowl was very unusual for an european country.
i guess it‘s due to the fact the house is pretty old and the pipes are just as well.
