Guest Reviews
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (7/5): I thought it was a great value and I had a good time there - Close to the marina and grocery, great people, cheap It was spartan but I was happy with that
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Sofie (7/5): Good - The hosts are super friendly, they gave advise on the area and helped me book a scooter. The guesthouse is up a steep hill, so there is a great sunset view. Fridge needed a deep clean, the kitchen was only partially equipped, I had to use my own utensils. The WiFi is only strong enough for replying to messages etc., but not enough to google or be on social media. Even though the "quiet time" was announced to begin at 22, there was an older man permanently living in the house who would turn of the lights at 8:45, even when I was sitting outside reading my book.
- Ernst (6/5): Pleasant - The Lady of the house was very nice Location difficult to find
- Oscar (10/5): Exactly what was needed - Very good value. Offered transport from the airport and recommended cheap motor scooter rentals and things to do in the country. Everyone staying there were very pleasant. Would definitely stay again if in Tahiti again. N/A
- Cesar (10/5): Great place and a good melting pot of energy - The people need fans
- Gail (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nicola (7/5): Great value for money and a lovely, warm, friendly atmosphere. Great if you’re on a tight budget. - The price is amazing and they have made an effort to make the property comfortable for the guests. I absolutely adored the female host, she was warm and super friendly and made me feel very welcome. The transfers on offer are a good price and they are very reliable too. No air conditioning but what the property lacked in amenities the couple hosting more than made up for this.
- Naelat (8/5): Very good -
- Gema (1/5): Bad - The owner is nice Rooms without doors and very noisy. Really uncomfortable beds. They were not helpful when asking for information or changing the dates of my stay. The area where is located is very unsafe. There are not nice beaches around. They charge a lot of money for pick up from the airport, always trying to make money out of you. Avoid this place
- Bjarne (7/5): Good -
- Luca (8/5): Very good - The view from the court
I was lucky that nobody was in my room. Very cheap for the average of Papeete and very important: there Is hot shower!!!! It Need to improve organization of the house and general cleaning of the kitchen but the price/quality rate Is ok
- Antl (5/5): Passable -
- Alexandra (1/5): Please do not go to this place!! - Nothing First, the street to get to the house is very complicated, dangerous, it is far from everything, dark and at night it is really scary to get there, because of the people and the huge amount of barking dogs. When we arrived, we immediately wanted to leave, the place is dirty, smelly, the bathroom is depressing and the rooms even worse. We rented a private room to have privacy but it had no walls, it was just a separation from the rest of the house that besides reflecting the outside, did not completely close the room at the top, and the 'door' did not close as it falls down (and the rest of the rooms only had a curtain) and the windows could not be closed, so insects entered the room. The mattress is in terrible condition, as well as the pillows, and it was the only thing the room had. The plugs are almost in the ceiling so you can not practically charge anything because everything is hanging. there is no air conditioning or fan so it is an oven. They tell you that the WiFi is not unlimited so you can only do certain things with it. And to conclude, there was a house party where everyone was shouting, singing and playing music until more than 1am, including the house manager, who when we asked him for help to find a taxi was drunk and could not help us. Even with earplugs I could not sleep until after midnight and had to get up before 6am to catch my ferry. Definitely worth paying a little more and staying somewhere else! This is the worst experience I have had in my travels. I thought Booking had minimum parameters but they do not.

- James (4/5): Worked to rest a few hours, but was not an attractive place or very accessible. - This is James again. So sorry, the last review I wrote for Ravehei Smile was incorrect--I was thinking of a different place we stayed for a night. Ravehei Smile was ok for our purpose which was to relax a few hours before our ferry. We did not stay overnight. It had comfortable lounges on the porch and access to a restroom. Proprietor was friendly and helpful after we got there. Parking for our rental car was narrow, but available. It was up an unmarked bad condition narrow road and we had to ask two locals to find it--one phoned them and they guy stood out on the road to flag us down. Google maps does not know this road, so you can't find it. The house was old and had no AC, shared bathroom, and seemed run down, although clean enough.
- Branda (10/5): So worth it - They were incredibly friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and super comfortable. Not a fan of having a shared toilet and shower but it was super clean and we knew it was shared when we booked it.
- Andrei (1/5): horrible becouse they canceled my booking whwn i was on the plane on my way to the island. dont go - when i was on my way to the island the proprety owner sent me a mail saying my booking was canceled so i couldnt go there anymore, lol. how is this possible. worst ppl ever. dont go there when i was on my way to the island the proprety owner sent me a mail saying my booking was canceled so i couldnt go there anymore, lol. how is this possible. worst ppl ever. dont go there !!!!
- Ngaio (8/5): Welcoming family run property - The staff there are amazing and so friendly. Handy location, super close to a supermarket and shopping centre. Picked and dropped us off at the airport in a very timely manner. We really enjoyed our time spent with some locals. Take some ear plugs if you like a sleep in as there is alot of chickens and dogs in the neighbourhood.
