Guest Reviews
- Luc (10/5): Magnifique logement - L’appartement est superbe, avec vue magnifique sur la Kenmare River.
Endroit tres calme. Rien, je ne peux que recommander ce logement sans hésitation.
- Nigel (9/5): - Location and view
- Luke (7/5): - It was quiet Some of the appliances in the apartment should be replaced as they were a little rusty.
- Laura (10/5): Absolute Gem - One of my favourite places I stayed while in Ireland. Home has great views and everything you could need. Just a short drive into Kenmare and onto the ring of Kerry road. Host was so welcoming. Highly recommend. Nothing.
- Kirsten (10/5): - The location was superb!! 7KM from town. Quiet, with the best view. Our host was very gracious, the keys were in the door for us. She had Milk, butter, bread, jams set out just for us. Fully equipped Kitchen and living room are downstairs, bath and bedroom are upstairs. Very cozy. Rainy Weather!!
- Susan (9/5): - Perfect location, ideal for solo travellers, or a couple, really good self contained place. Nice and quiet too. This is just a very minor issue, but I found it tricky to find driveway in the dark of the night.
- Toni (10/5): - Everything was perfect.
- Jenny (8/5): Great location for views and walks. - The location is superb-beautiful views and extremely quiet. Great base for exploring the area, including walks on the Kerry way. We appreciated the big views and plenty of parking. It felt expensive for what it was.
- Hilda (7/5): -
- Aaron (10/5): Wonderful waterfront home - Such an amazing property with a fully equipped kitchen and lots of space to relax and feel at home. Very friendly dogs and hosts.
- Henk Springer (8/5): -
- Jan (9/5): - Fabulous view over the bay. Lots of space with living room and kitchen for self catering. A minor point, but a name on the outside of the property would be helpful.
- Jon (8/5): -
- Mauro (10/5): An ideal place to recharge, cook for yourself, and explore the surrounding area. - The apartment was clean and quiet, surrounded by greenery, with a stunning distant view of the sea. Beautifully refurbished and perfect for cooking your own meals. Nice place to visit the surroundings. Highly recommended! The door of the bathroom was difficult to close, and the toilet took a while to refill after flushing. But small things, after all!
- Lea (10/5): Exceptional - The house is really cute and has a beautiful view. We had everything we needed and the owner was very friendly and helpful, thank you so much!
- Margaret (10/5): Perfect amount of space in a delightful location with views of the water. - The location and convenience to Kenmare and the Kerry is wonderful! You wake up to stunning views of the water. The hosts are able to answer any questions you may have and are eager to help. That I couldn’t stay longer…however I’m sure to return!
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - This was the best place we stayed during our 10-day trip round Ireland. The view is absolutely stunning! The location is great for access to Kenmare and The Ring of Kerry. The annex is really lovely, spacious and clean. The kitchen is well-equipped and the living room is comfy and has a splendid view. The bathroom is clean and modern. The owner is really friendly and helpful. We had an absolutely lovely time and didn't want to leave! We'd love to go back! Highly recommended! The bedroom could do with thicker curtains since the light comes in early in the morning.
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Quite and peaceful with wonderful views in a countryside setting -
- Gardner (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome location. The view is amazing Nothing
- Carmel (9/5): Moriarty's - Location. Property. Owners.
- John (10/5): This is a lovely annex with fabulous views. The annex is spacious, clean and well set up. A great location for exploring - Lovely spacious annex in a great location with a fabulous view. We received a warm welcome and we’re very comfortable in this we’ll set up accommodation. Nothing
- Jeanette (10/5): Exceptional - The property has a very nice view and is close to the Ring of Kerry.
- Caroline (10/5): Beautiful place to stay. Small but well equipped with everything you need. Perfect position on the Ring of Kerry. -
- Michael (4/5): Dissapointing - The view was outstanding. Lovely seats outside in garden as well. The kitchen was fine and the lounge with views to the water was lovely. Bathroom and bedroom- both very dusty with black mold in bathroom and spiders webs behind curtains. Curtains were flimsy which did not block light. Smelt damp and musty in bedroom and bathroom. A great pity because it could be lovely with some attention and a revamp upstairs.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Carla (8/5): Very good - Lovely view over the sea and mountains. Ideal for Ring of Kelly, village of Kenmare nearby if you have a car (8 minute drive) for pubs, food and grocery. House is big enough for couple, Pots pans in good condition. Clean but a bit dusty upstairs. Curtains in bedroom do not keep light out. But gets dark at night and very quit so nothing to keep you from sleeping :-)
- Constatin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vivienne (7/5): Good - It was a spacious double storey apartment with spectacular views. It is another apartment, but perfectly fine.
There is a full kitchen so we were able to self cater, fortunately, as we were about 9kms from the village and down a very narrow road. Garry has allergies to dust and unfortunately the apartment needed a really good dust
There are no blinds on the bedroom windows, which is great for the view, but not so good for trying to get a good sleep.
- Mandy (9/5): Beautiful view, beautiful home - Breathtaking view, beautiful apartment, clean and private. Very kind and responsive host. A great choice!
- Ruth (8/5): We would return to Moriatys - Breakfast wasnt included:
Location was stunning. We where satisfied with everything
- Ann (9/5): A great spot for a relaxed stay yet close enough to Kenmare and routes for touring Kerry. - Lovely, cosy and self-contained - perfect for two of us. The views are beautiful and the surroundings quiet and peaceful.
- Maria (9/5): Superb - There is a beautiful view and possibility to sit outside. It is quiet and light. You need a car to get there and it is hard to find.
- Vince (9/5): Wonderful views in a peaceful environment - We were in Ireland for 20 days so we wanted a variety of experiences. We chose this location because it gave us a chance to be alone for a while. No hotels, or B&Bs. It was a great place to recharge the batteries. Nearby places in Kenmare to buy food so it was easy making meals. Very quiet and peaceful location. Outstanding views. There is a golf course close by, but don't recall if it's open to non-members. Just off the Ring of Kerry with easy access to the ring.
- Marie (5/5): Passable -
- Daan (7/5): Good - Quiet and peaceful location with some great views. Easy to get to Kenmare and along the Ring of Kerry. A bit tricky to find initially. Without Google maps and looking at pictures of the property in advance, we would have struggled a bit.
- Geoff (9/5): The owner was very considerate and friendly and the property exceeded our expectations. - Location and view were outstanding There were no dislikes
- Clive (9/5): Superb - Great rural location A tiny bit cramped but not an issue.
- Terry_79 (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable home with Beautiful views. All you could ask for. Will definitely return again.
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kalman (10/5): A unforgettable and wonderful experience - The place is comfortable and fully equipped . The setting and view are magnificent. The entire region is gorgeous and can be a base for tris. The pictures don't do justice to the beauty.
We enjoyed taking a walk down to the beach and walking around the area.
Our hostess went amazingly out of her way to accommodate us in a difficult situation we were in We would have appreciated a full size refrigerator - but maybe most guests don't need one.
- Tessa (10/5): A peaceful, comfortable cottage with amazing views - This is a really comfortable self-contained cottage/house attached to the host's house, in large grounds/garden, with the most AMAZING views across the bay. The king size bed was comfy, the electric shower good, the sofa nice and big, and the kitchen fully fitted with hob, oven, sink, fridge (with small freezer compartment), toaster, microwave and kettle. There is a dining table and chairs, and the host has even provided some outdoor chairs so that you can sit out in the sun and enjoy that view!
We had a couple of equipment queries on arrival, but our host was very quick and obliging in dealing with those, thank you. The house is in a really quiet rural area, but Kenmore is only a few minutes drive away for supermarkets and petrol etc.
We had a really enjoyable stay, and would definitely go back. An airer to help dry the lovely big fluffy towels would be useful, and perhaps darker curtains for the bedroom.
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): lovely stay. lady so friendly and kind. - beautiful scenery. I was travelling solo so I liked the host was next door.
