Guest Reviews
- mark (9/5): Very attentive but relaxed staff - excellent. - There were a couple of electrical problems that didn't effect us too much, although we had to move rooms. Then the a/c didn't work in the second room.
- Damla (10/5): It was very nice for a pitstop on the way to Cape Town Center. Very nice experience with a good vibe would definitely re -

- Tess (10/5): A lovely stay in a beautifully decorated old farm house - The manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay and the room was lovely and comfy. The pool area was a lovely place to relax with a bottle of wine. The decor is very tasteful. Everything was lovely. I would have liked a kettle in the room, but everything else was perfect.

- WAYNE (10/5): Wonderful, relaxing stay at Koko Huis. Highly recommended. - We recently had the pleasure of staying at Kokos Huis guest house and I can recommend it very highly. The guest house is conveniently situated making it easy to explore the town and its attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making us feel welcomed and valued and deserve all the praise coming their way. The atmosphere at the guest house is tranquil and serene, with the pool area providing a perfect space for relaxing. Special mention should be made of the quality of bedding and towels. We will gladly return if in the area again. Nothing
- Thobile (8/5): Always a good stay. It’s beautiful and serene. The best value for money in the Western Cape. - Great breakfast. Beautiful, decently sized pool.
Comfortable beds with very nice linens. Kokoshuis makes you feel like you are on a secluded island. The number of people the house accommodates is more than the seating available outside for breakfast.
Maybe a good idea for breakfast to be staggered.

- Karen (8/5): It is an oasis in the area! - The staff were professional and friendly; the breakfast was excellent.
The rooms are well appointed and the house is lovely. It was not so straightforward to get into the property as you need to call a mobile number at the gate.
- Donja (10/5): - The style, little oasis in the middle of a beautiful village and area. The children enjoyed the swimming pool! Nothing not to like but one night the outside noise was noticeable a bit too much to our liking.
- marieke (9/5): Heerlijk! - We voelden ons erg welkom.

- Tracy-Jane (9/5): Kokos Huis is a warm, soulful sanctuary - The decor was beautiful Nothing really, was a bit overpriced I would say.
- Iris (9/5): -
- Ariza (10/5): - Just an amazing escape in the best wine region of Cape. Very stylish and comfortable Nothing
- Riet (8/5): - Het ontbijt was zeer verzorgd ! Het lawaai op de andere kamers .

- Lisa (10/5): Perfect peaceful stay - Everything was absolutely perfect. From the peacefulness, to the friendly welcoming staff, the breakfast and food, the pool, incredible service. Definitely the best place to stay in the Swartland Nothing
- Sascha (10/5): EXCEPTIONAL - Our stay was absolutely wonderful !
From the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming and professional.
The accommodation is luxurious and the decor is incredible.
Our dinner was excellent, we spent the afternoon/evening in the gorgeous pool area.
Highly highly recommended !
- gkcoetzee (8/5): Great place to stay - Nice place with a lovely garden and pool area. We liked the layout of the sitting room and the dining area, and especially the outside stoep and pool area. Although we were there for one night, we could see that it would be great to spend a few days. The staff (Karla and a team of one) were outstanding and friendly, and the service was prompt and professional. We were in the stoep room, and although it was smallish, it worked well, except there was no mirror with an electrical outlet for a hair dryer next to it. There is nothing to place your luggage on, like a luggage rack or a bench. There is no table to put the tray (coffee and tea) on. The room is quite dark, with only two weak bedside lights and a third light that looks like decor and emits little light. If you remedy these easy issues, it would be superb.
- Val (10/5): Will be back 🤩 - Amazing coffee & croissants We stayed in the loft room .. unfortunately the AC was broken & the room quite hot ! However the staff were so helpful & immediately provided a fan & accommodated our needs! Thank you 🙏 We also received a discount for the inconvenience. Would definitely stay there again.

- Bas (8/5): Very good - Look and feel, vibe was great. Breakfast was amazing - if they had the full offer - A little too remote
- Ashley (8/5): Very good -
- Catriona (10/5): We wanted to book again an hour after arriving…. - Honestly, there was not a single thing we didn’t love. This is a hidden treasure just an hour from Cape Town. It’s like an oasis… and while the town is lovely and quaint, with cute shops and galleries, I’m not quite sure you’d leave Koko’s huis. Martha and Matthias took care of every single need and request, and were so accommodating. We went with our 2.5 yr old and it’s wonderful for kids, yet feels mature and sophisticated. Incredible attention to detail, delicious food and drinks, generous hospitality and truly a home away from home. Zero! Book now…
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - The entire place is super stylish and well thought of to the smallest detail. Very friendly staff and host. Great place to relax and unwind. -
- Thobile (9/5): Kokos is an oasis. Think beautiful coconut trees, soft music all over the place and the perfect pool - Breakfast was incredible especially the muesli and croissants
- Rahiél (10/5): Peaceful & Delicious! - Aesthetic. Nothing.
- Willem-alexander (9/5): Beautiful place with beautiful people! Definitely coming back! - Most beautiful interiors! Nothing
- Peter (9/5): A great place to stay for a short or a long stay - It was very nicely finished. You can see that a-lot of hard work went into the establishment to get it into what it is today. A great outdoor area with a pool and a water feature running into the pool. Care taken to decorate the place at night with lanterns makes it all that more special
- Julandi (8/5): Very good -
- Greyling (5/5): Quite frustrating! - I liked that the staff were fantastic - very friendly and accommodating. I also liked the quality of the bed and the linen. The most irritating thing was that the property had no singage at all, so although I subsequently found that I had stopped right in front of it, I could not find it without numerous phone calls with the manager. Inconceivable that a guesthouse would wish to remain incognito!
The facility was quite impractically arranged with no access to a kettle for coffee other than in the main kitchen which was locked after 20.00 and only accessible again at 07.00. The room had no table or cupboards to unpack or place things like a water bottle or a device charger.
- Liné (9/5): Superb - Kokos Huis is an absolute gem! Beautiful interior and a cosy escape from the hussle and bustle. Coffee Books to browse and feed creative minds - truly inspiring. We can't wait to return!
- Jacqueline (10/5): Lovely and relaxing - Decor is stunning. Lovely staff and you feel safe at all time. Heinie the night staff is so lovely , welcoming and keeps things running smoothly
- Gelda (10/5): I loved staying at kokoshuis, it felt warm and homely - Staff were very friendly and caring, the facility was clean and appealing No remote to get in the gate
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ansu (9/5): Superb -
- Renier (9/5): Superb - No TV, kettle and fridge in the room.
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (10/5): Beautiful decoration, amazing staff - Every detail and touch point was considered. Most beautiful aesthetics
- Meagan (8/5): Very good -
- Susanna (9/5): Superb - The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was great and I loved the decor.
- Nicolette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Silke (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! The staff, the studio, the breakfast (whether freshly made for us or what was left in the room), the tranquility. Nothing.
- Carol (9/5): Lovely accomodation but garden dissapoints. - Loved the decor and ambience . Loved the people working there. The grass was long and the front part of garden is unapealing and neglected.
It brings the whole experience a notch down, grass should always be neat and short and green.
- Micha (9/5): Superb -
- Martijn (10/5): Fantastic stay - Fantastic! Great room, great service, great staff, great pool and lounge area. We will be back!! Nothing.
- Adrian (9/5): Superb -
- Mikayla (8/5): Perfect for a stop over or a peaceful weekend retreat! - We loved the pool area and the cosy rooms! Very aesthetically pleasing and relaxing The rooms aren’t very private and the breakfast is quite expensive at R250 per person. We chose to drive to Tulbagh and enjoy a beautiful breaki there instead. For locals it’s a lot but I suppose tourists will pay.
- Dirkje (9/5): Superb -
- Benjamin (10/5): Hidden gem in the greater vincinity of Capetown - Very friendly and helpful staff, nice Pool area with everything you need and cozy rooms in a charming old building. Surprising country-side surrounding with excellent vineyards, family friendly offerings. Self-catering is probably not the best option here as the area is affected by load-shedding. The team, however, does all the best to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
- Amogelang (9/5): Access to property (gate access) - The room key does not come with the remote for the gate, so whenever we left the property we had to call the manager to open the gate for us which was a bit annoying because we couldn't stay out late exploring the town because of time constraints.
- Johannsen (10/5): Beautiful place for a weekend - Beautifully decorated and curated. The food is lovely and the coffee, the best I had in SA. The area is beautiful with vineyards and mountains close by. The pool is dreamy.
- Barbara (7/5): This guesthouse is aimed at our international market ( price wise) and has a minimalist aesthetic. - Very large room and great comfy bed. The staff were amazing- super attentive and polite. The croissants for breakfast were really really good. My room was out the back round a corner. I felt as if I was entering another housing estate to enter my room. A bench or something to open my suitcase on would have been lovely ( not the floor)
The grass in the outdoor area needed a cut so the area looked a little unkept. The air com didn't work in one room and the window didn't open. The Breakfast was overpriced as was the water at R45 a bottle.
- Jelena (9/5): Perfect place to spend the last night of our holiday on our way back home to Cape Town. - Gorgeous pool, delicious breakfast and beautiful interiors
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicolaas (9/5): Superb - Great service and lovely people
- Roberta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nokukhanya (9/5): We had T - Good breakfast. Located close to Restuarants and shops. Breakfast is good but a bit over priced at R250pp.
