Guest Reviews
- Uroš (9/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Vill kril brill - Great location, very homely, great owner very helpful and friendly Absolutely nothing
- Sasa (4/5): In description of house was written that house was renovated- but only visible renovated room was ba - We spend our 7 days holiday in february at villa Krila.
When choosing acomodation we have been looking for cozy place close to ski-pist or beside it
And possibility for making food for ourself. Villa Krila promised all that.
When arriwed we met owner and payed for our stay. It was evening and we wanted to go to bed. We find out that window in sleeping room on 1st floor couldn be closed. We called owner and next morning he came and push the window in frame. We have been advised to not open the window again. Obviously window fitted in frame but was not original one, so we accepted that. Comunication with owner was corect, but owners eloquence and charming presence can not cower over problems that were coming.
First morning we find out that house is not at all ”ski in – ski out” like it was written in description. It was not even ”on slope” category. Is not far away from slope, it takes 5-10 minutes downhill then some steps to reach slope, but definitely not ski in-ski out. Way back home goes upstairs then up hill on road side but car drivers are polite.
Then we met owner of the other part of house. Villa Krila is in house with two entrances, different owners. Tha owner has entrance on back side of house and his dailyroom is on 2nd floor, on the top of daily room of Vila Krilla. He ask us not to use fireplace because smoke is coming thrugh walls in his part of house. We rented a house what in description promised ”cozy evening by fireplace” but fireplacewas broken and could not be used. Owner of villa Krila told us that he is looking for someone to repair chimney .
Then we find out that owen in kitchen stove missing front door glass plate! Next thing was refrigirator – all our things we purchased evening before was frozen. Thermostat in refridgirator was obviusley broken- even turne down on minimum , refridgirator was freezing ewerything left inside. In description of house was written that house was renovated- but only visible renovated room was bathroom- all doors and windows were from 80s last century. It can make house charming, but is wrong description of house.
In midle of our stay water startde running in kitchen. Instalation under the sink was made on poor way, but we have been able to put hoses on place and fix it by ourself.
We wrote massage to owner, we stated that house position was not like in description, fireplace was not usable and kitchen hardware was not working properly or not at all.
We proposed he gave us back 20% of price we paid, but he refused. He told us that damage happened just before we came (chimney) that last guest just before our ariwall broke front door on owen, and that he didnt know that refrigirator was working that badly.
We tried to explain him that is not our responsibility, but his, he can not ask for full price for
Place with so many problems.
He was able to provide so many explanations, but refuse to make any refusion.
In weeks after we turned back home- house was still anounced as ”features a fireplace”, even it was not possible to rebuild chimney in that period.
Mountain itslef is very nice, lot of houses to rent what are really ski in-ski out, you are never far away from ski rental or small shop, restaurants on slope side provide good traditional balkan food for reasonable prices.
- Ian (9/5): Fantastic location, great living space. All you could want in lovely Jahorina. - Location was fantastic. Amenities nearby were great and we were close to the Skiing facilities as well as most of the restaurants. Property was warm and had a great Lounge area. Kitchen was fine for what we needed and the communication from the owner was great. There was a lack of wardrobes/drawers for clothes. The shower worked fine but was handheld, could have done with a fixing on the wall to stand under. Hot water ran out first few days before we realised how to manage this.
- Petarv (10/5): Exceptional -
- Morgan (9/5): Great Villa with great location! - The host was really nice and helpful, available throughout our stay to contact if we needed it. The villa was about 2 minutes downhill to the ski slope, and ski rental is available next door as well as a mini market.
We were 4 people but 6 people would definitely be comfortable here. The villa has a TV, fire, kitchen which were all very useful. There is parking available at the front and a porch for ski equipment etc.
The villa is a traditional Bosnian building made by the host’s father. It’s a lovely place to stay. Jahorina is developing a lot and many places to stay are hotels, this is completely different to that. The property could benefit from some thicker curtains for privacy on the ground floor. Because of night skiing (which is amazing if you stay during ski season!!) the upstairs room also has some light from the slopes, so some thicker curtains would help with light not coming into the room so much.
- Svetislav (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tatiana (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great! Very comfortable and well-equipped house, it was very warm in the house (outdoor temperature was around -10), there are two bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Very close to gondola and next to the market. Also there is a private parking place. Many thanks to kind and helpful owner. If we have an opportunity we’ll be happy to return! Nothing
- Anna (10/5): Authentic, joyful, family atmosphere, great for young/learning skiers - Krila was responsive and generous; he gave us a warm welcome and showed us around. The house was comfortably warmed, and the atmosphere is authentic and very well rooted in the location (unlike many other newly built apartment blocks in the surrounding) The condition of the snow was not excellent during the week we were there (February), so half of the pistes were closed. However, skiing was still excellent, and we also made terrific hikes. I would recommend this to each visitor; nature is vibrant and beautiful out there.
