Guest Reviews

- Dana (8/5): Wonderful location - steep hill so bring your 4x4 vehicle! - Location is beautiful and the house has a wonderful, pellet stove fireplace that makes it a perfect mountain retreat! It snowed while we were there, which was beautiful but also made leaving much scarier because of the steep roads (and switchbacks) to reach the property. If you go in the winter months, you MUST have snow chains for your tires and preferably a 4x4. We only had to leave the property in the snowy weather, so I can't say fully, but it's likely that we wouldn't have gotten up the steep hills in the ice/snow even with chains and 4x4. It's something to consider when booking. Bed linens and towels are not included. This is buried in the property information section for Holidu and in my opinion, should be more clearly available. 15 euros per person for towels and 15 euros per person for bedsheets seems steep for the nightly price point of this cabin. We traveled by car, so we were able to bring our own, but for people flying in or doing longer trips, it could be a big fee to tack on the last minute. It should be more obvious and stated clearly with the cost. Maybe they will adjust this.

- Kah Wai (3/5): Dangerous to access with the remote and narrow road - Spacious Cold interior, remote and not easy to access, road is narrow and dangerous to drive

- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - We had an unforgettable stay in this wonderful house! The secluded location in the middle of a dense forest gave us a true sense of peace and harmony with nature. Each morning, we were gently awakened by birdsong, and from the terrace, we could enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain peaks — truly inspiring.
The house itself is cozy, comfortable, and full of warmth. Everything is thoughtfully arranged — the kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant and convenient stay. We felt completely at home and enjoyed every moment here. Thank you for the hospitality — we would love to come back again!
- Vaičiulaitytė (10/5): Exceptional - super comfy and cozy, everything you need, true home experience, loved it stressful drive to the property when the ground is icy, complicated
Heater neat the tv did not start for us

- Pawel (7/5): Beautiful house and location but very steep and dangerous access road. - The house is very beautiful inside and out. The interior is very cosy and nicely decorated and the views are stunning. It was also very clean and the house was prepared for our arrival. The location of the house is not actually in San Martino di Castrozza which is misleading. If you put the address into Google maps it shows that it is in the centre of the town but it is actually 20 minutes away and the house doesn't have it's own address. The owners sent a video of how to get to the house from Fiera di Primero which is the other neighbouring town but didn't mention that the starting point was from that town. We were coming from a different direction and had to guess the way. The owners also didn't mention that the access road to the house is very steep with sharp corners. The video was taken in the summer and it does not look so bad however in the winter it is icy and dangerous. If you are not an experienced driver or you don't have a powerful car, you may find getting up there a challenge. Nevertheless, we had an amazing stay and enjoyed it very much, we don't want to discourage visiting this place as it was worth it however we just want to inform future guests of the access road in particular because it took us by surprise and we were lucky that it didn't snow.
