This place is truly “old but gold” — a peaceful property with breathtaking views of Lake Gregory, a beautifully maintained garden, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. What really made our stay special was the hospitality. Every staff member was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. A special shoutout to the reception manager, the anna who took our food orders, and the night security guard. I’m sorry I can’t remember your names, but you guys were absolutely the best and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The food was delicious, the surroundings were calm and scenic, and waking up to the misty lake view was an unforgettable experience. If you’re visiting Nuwara Eliya and looking for a comfortable stay with great service and beautiful views, I would definitely recommend Palazzo Lake Gregory. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay memorable. Looking forward to visiting again!

The check-in and check-out process was perfect and smooth, the rooms were very nice, and the service at the breakfast and dinner was truly lovely. These experiences made my stay delightful, and I look forward to returning again. I would like to share some feedback regarding the restaurant. The location feels confusing, as it is situated between the rooms. This can be inconvenient and may cause annoyance for some guests due to the lack of separation from the accommodation areas. Improving the layout or signage could help reduce this confusion and make the dining experience more enjoyable.

Amazingly delicious buffet breakfast! Our room with a lake view looked down on several local homes strewn with rubbish and litter, a real eye sore which was a real pity because the lake area is very pretty.

- keiko (1/5): 3つ星なんて誰がつけたの？お金を出して独房に泊まるような体験 - ホテルに着くと暖かいおしぼりとお茶、茶菓子の接待があり嬉しかった。 湖側のお部屋からは朝カーテンを開けると茶畑がお部屋から見ることができてとてもきれいだった 車でホテルまで行ったが、ホテルに一番近い案内看板が違う道に行くように付けられており、そちらの案内にしたがうと茶畑に向かう細い道になり車と対抗ができず危うく事故になりかけた。 友人との旅行でこのホテルに2泊し、2部屋を別々に予約。2階のお部屋を用意してくれていたが2部屋ともダイニングの真横のお部屋でドアや部屋の機密性も高くないためダイニングの食事を用意する音や従業員の足音、宿泊客の話し声など筒抜けでリラックスして過ごすことが出来なかった。 また友人のお部屋はチェックインして入室後、内側から鍵をかけたら開けられず、外に出られなくなり最終的にドアの鍵を壊すことになった。 私が泊まった部屋は部屋からの景色は良かったが、バスルームのトイレの匂いがとても臭かった。 お部屋に備え付けのクローゼットがあったが、洋服をかけるハンガーが三角形につけられており丈も微妙で一体どう使ったらいいかわからなかった。 朝食付きのプランにしてコンチネンタルを選択。ホールの担当者がメインの卵料理を聞いてくれオムレツにしたが、提供がかなり遅く卵が焦げていた。 一緒にワッフルも出てきたがカチカチの固いワッフルでシロップもあまり質のいいものではなかった。 1日目のお部屋のバスルームの臭さに耐えられず、2泊目に部屋を変えてもらったが、そちらの部屋は違うフロアの茶畑とは反対向きのお部屋で、部屋全体がカビ臭く、じっとりしており居心地はさらに悪かった。 部屋の鍵は内側から押せば閉まるドアの鍵と棒を横にスライドさせる鍵の2種類が付いていたが、棒の鍵がスライドせずかけられなかった。 一人で泊まっていたので怖く、ドアの近くに椅子やチェストをバリケードのように置いて部屋を使用するしかなかった。部屋があまりにカビ臭くマスクにアロマオイルを塗って寝ようとしたが朝方は寒く眠れずカビ臭さで病気になりそうだった。 チェックアウト時、宿泊客も残り私達だけであったがフロント係のオペレーションが悪くチェックアウトの準備もできておらずかなり待たされた。別々の会計にしたいために友人と予約を別にしたのだが、支払いについてフロント係が確認することなく処理を進めたため友人が私のお部屋代金を払うことになってしまい後でこちらが友人に支払うはめになった。 1泊の料金もそこそこするホテルなのに建物の造りもおかしく料金とサービスが全く釣り合っておらず、クオリティが低すぎる。 これまで泊まったホテルで一番最悪なホテルだった。

Staff is extremely helpful and attentive, special thanks to Pushpakanth Kavin, Nevil, Sivanesh, Kabilashini, Chathuranga, Dhevi, Sobi and Shiyam 🙏🏻 They made our stay unforgettable and pleasant.

Their commitment to guest satisfaction is clearly reflected in the overall service standards of the property. Our sincere thanks to Puja, Siyam, Kowin, Sam, Devi, Sobi, Nithi, Nevile, and Chathuranga for their warm smiles, prompt assistance, and consistent efforts to go above and beyond. Each team member contributed positively to creating a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. While the service and hospitality were excellent, we noticed that some areas of the property would benefit from fresh painting and minor touch-ups, which would further enhance the overall appearance and guest experience. Addressing this would elevate the property to an even higher standard. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding team, attentive management, and welcoming environment. We look forward to returning in the future. The manager made sure our needs were met The only thing I didn't like was the second floor we initially got was very loud. Upon request, the manager changed our room without any fuss.

Sofern dort Gäste sind, keine Chance zu schlafen. Direkt darunter der Aufenthaltsraum und die Rezeption machen es nicht besser.

We had taken the full board option & restaurant staff as well as the chef went overboard to serve us in spite of the menu having limited options. The bathroom had a certain stink, rooms were very small, houseflies & mosquitoes were seen especially after sunset.

And the lake is right in front of the hotel, so it's in the best location. I'm very glad I chose them. Not anything in particular, but I wish they could have helped or assisted us in finding the halal eatery; it would have been nice when we arrived there late at night.

Despite our confirmed reservation, we were told the hotel was fully booked—yet they somehow found us a room. It was nothing like the pictures: small, cold, and extremely humid. Breakfast was mostly local dishes, which was fine, but we found it odd that some guests were offered eggs or an omelet while we were not. That said, they did prepare them when we specifically asked. Overall, there’s nothing that would make me return. I’m sure there are better options nearby.

Chef Anis cooked really good meals and we had dinner for two straight nights. 2. Lake view room is really good specially on the first floor. 3. location is great and in a non noisy place of the town 1. Some of the rooms were very smelly and difficult to stay in. 2. Layout of the hotel isn’t great and second floor rooms are where the restaurant is, so not good 3. Upkeep needs to be better
