Guest Reviews
- James (9/5): -
- Suzanne (10/5): Excellent and will certainly be back - Excellent location very comfortable and clean a beautiful, quirky cottage with loads of character Nothing
- Sharon (9/5): Steps and hills! - The property was well equipped, well designed for the space available, great bathroom, and the owner very flexible and great communication. The steps inside the property. I’m sure you would get used to them but I worried about mum tripping on an unexpected step eg from dining room down into hallway. Nothing the owner can do about it but likely wouldn’t return because of this.
- Mark (10/5): -
- Hayley (10/5): - Lovely quaint little cottage. Well decorated, nice modern decor.
- Andrew (10/5): Lovely comfortable stay. Recommended. - Lovely cosy cottage. Everything there you could possibly need. Recommended. Step into house difficult to negotiate for an elder person.
- Sara (10/5): - The Railway Cottage is in a fantastic location for the town. It's beautifully decorated and we had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage was spotless when we arrived. Communication between the owners was very good and booking it online was very straightforward.
Would definitely recommend staying here.
- Glynn (10/5): Great Hosts - Great communication, lovely place, and so convenient. We were there to get married, and the hosts even got us a wedding welcome pack which was a wonderful touch. Would recommend to anyone. X Nothing not to like
- julie (8/5): - V helpful Location
- Lynn Griffin-Pearce (8/5): Nice cottage for a short Shropshire break - Quiet & convenient location, large hot shower, log burner & basket of logs, well equipped kitchen with loads of coffee pods, comfy bed If I'm being picky, an additional lamp in each room would have made it easier to read without having the ceiling light on.
- Paul (9/5): Lovely cottage in a good location. - Lots of character and in a good location. Could have been a few more spare plates, but not a big problem. 😀
- Andrea (9/5): Had a great time and would love to return. - The cottage is beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. It's close enough to everything and we really enjoyed exploring. The hosts were great.
- nigel (9/5): House and host great the only negative was that kitchen floor was dirty. - Comfy beds , lovely bed linen , very clean bathroom. The house was very clean except for kitchen floor . Kitchen floor dirty
- scott (10/5): - WOW, it's an absolutely amazing stay. From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we had made the right choice. Jess and Danny were amazing. Very prompt on responses, offered help on recommendations if needed, to decorating the cottage for our 1st wedding anniversary.
We loved our stay that much we have booked to return in just 3 weeks to take our dogs for a 3 night break.
Thank you so much!
- Karen (10/5): Charming and perfect! - This cottage is dripping with history and charm from the split staircase to the private courtyard! Everything you need is at your fingertips and the welcome basket with fresh bread and Prosecco was very welcomed indeed 😊 Loved the (thankfully) short uphill walk to the main road and super easy access to Bridgenorth main street and Coffee at d'Arcy's which we visited every morning. Will stay again! Nothing!
- Valerie (9/5): We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our visit - We have stayed in this very nice cottage for the second time. This cottage is excellent for its location and it’s super comfortable and clean. The hosts are very helpful and obliging.
- Jen (9/5): -
- Lisa (8/5): Very pretty quirky cottage. Should be for 3 people though not 4. Not ideal having to wake early to put parking ticket on - Close to centre. Second room not big enough for 2 adults.
Double bed crammed into a single room. Had to climb over my husband to go to the toilet.
- David (8/5): Great place to base yourself to explore.all the right necessities to self cater etc and entertain - Great location for such a unique town Parking and access to load/unload luggage needs some thinking about so as not to impact on locals.
- Jayne (7/5): Delightful weekend in a stylishly renovated Railway Cottage - Whilst the cottage was delightful and cosy, the location was superb and Bridgnorth and the surrounding area is idyllic. There were a few problems that would have made my score much higher. Firstly the cottage was a bit dirty - the floors downstairs, the outside space, carpets and inside the kitchen cupboards. The shower had very low water pressure. The mattress in the smaller bedroom was extremely uncomfortable - it seemed that one side of the mattress had collapsed. The log burner basket hadn’t been stocked up with lighting materials. The dishwasher didn’t have tablets and the kitchen didn’t have a cloth to wipe down the surfaces. That being said we did love the cottage.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location
- Clive (10/5): A brilliant cottage in a perfect location - Had everything you could want and really felt like a home from home Nothing
- Knight (10/5): Exceptional - The standard of this property is very good .Bathroom is really first rate .Warm and cosy cottage just lovely would return and recommend Road is steep and if arriving at night make sure you have phone torch handy to navigate key safe . In an ideal world property owners would have a parking permit. Drive straight to library car park to at least unload easier than anywhere else. Cottage more than makes up for challenges with parking on a wet Friday night .
- Sally (9/5): Relaxing and enjoyable - Great position. Lovely property. Flexible arrival and departure times. A little small for 4 adults but added to the charm.
- Liz (10/5): Beautiful cottage very well equipped and hosts were great! - Beautiful cottage very clean perfect location excellent value
- Tom (10/5): Cosy, great location and great hosts. - Second time staying at the property and it’s everything you could need, very cosy and a great location near the centre. The hosts Jess and Danny are great. The only downside is the parking situation (and the neighbour opposite is a busy body so difficult to even park for a minute to unload your luggage) but I have found parking is normally available the the bottom of the hill or across the junction.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (8/5): Very good -
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janie.1364 (10/5): We had a wonderful stay, we enjoyed everything about the cottage, the hosts left everything that we - The steps upto the property
- Darren (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (8/5): Very good - Location was great. Comfortable living spaces. A nice court yard to sit in had the weather been mild. Only available parking is in public car parks.

- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (9/5): Great cottage within a few minutes of the high town lots of independent shops and bars/restaurants too choose from - Great location close to the town centre and very quiet at night!all you need is in the property No parking shame there wasn’t a parking permit instead of having to park in the local car park
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Was booked for 3 people for a family fuction on the Sunday and scooter do on Saturday in low town, location and comfort was the key. Nothing.
- Susan (10/5): We came as a mother and son to celebrate my birthday. We had his dog with us as well. The cottage met all our needs and - The cottage is beautifully appointed. It is perfect in size and location is great Nothing
- Sz (10/5): Lovely Cottage in Bridgnorth Market Town - The cottage is centrally located and we were able to do our shopping in walking distance. It is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The communication with the hosts is great 🔝, they spared no effort and were helpful with all questions and gave us valuable tips on restaurants. They also made reservations for us which is very helpful, specially if you don’t have an UK number for confirmation. I would definitely choose to stay there again. A very nicely decorated and cute cottage, specially the little sitting area outside is lovely. Nothing to complain

- Fionnbarr (10/5): A Gem in Bridgnorth - Absolute little gem. Easily accessible from the Severn Valley Railway station. Small with steep stairs that only add to its charm. Very comfortable. Host were very communicative check in and check out super easy
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Perfect location and lovely property. Everything was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Owners were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Would be good to have parking on the street, but appreciate that it's a narrow street with few parking spaces. Owner provided us with options to park locally, and they were only a 2 minute walk away, so it wasn't a big issue.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (9/5): Superb - Clean, great location, good communication from excellent hosts
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - Jess & Danny were excellent with communications from start to finish. I absolutely can not praise the Railway Cottage and how they have presented it highly enough. So much character, total comfort, fantastic location, we will definitely be back.
- Helen (9/5): Lovely cottage. Cleanliness and facilities were 5 star. - Great location for easy access to local attractions. Lovely cottage; cosy, clean, comfortable and provided all of the essentials for an overnight stay.
- Marg (8/5): A great cottage in a great location. - A really modern property with great interior design. The location is very central for the town centre which has a great variety of shops, eateries and pubs. The stairs are a little dangerous but we left the hall light during the night so we're ok.
- Zoe (10/5): Lovely stay in Bridgnorth - Gorgeous, cozy cottage with everything we needed to cook our Christmas Dinner. Arrived Christmas Eve and stayed until 27th - thoroughly enjoyed our time here - thanks Jess and Danny 😁 Nothing.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liz (9/5): Lovely cottage, cosy and well equipped. - Lovely quaint cottage in a quiet and pretty street. Central location and close to steam railway. Well equipped, comfortable and cosy. Quite narrow stairs and low ceilings. Not ideal for the less mobile.
- Brigitte (10/5): Perfect for a short stay away. Plenty to see & do & a beautiful cottage with everything need & more. - The location was perfect for high town & lower town was easily accessible.
- Naomi (10/5): Wonderful memories - It’s was so lovely and cosy The attention to detail
- Sarah (9/5): Had a lovely stay! Would go back. - Great location, very clean and stylishly decorated. Only 4 plates and place settings - could do with more even though only 4 people staying.
Dog friendly but no grass or gravel for dogs and no nearby grass. Although this is shown in photos.
