Guest Reviews
- Pedro (10/5): - The cabin was an excellent calming retreat listening to only the sounds of the birds and nature. The steps up to the cabins can be a bit steep (up to 30cm/ 12 inches) but assuming you are there to hike Park Tayrona it's a good warm up for the trails in the park. Breakfast and dinners were excellent and Kevin our front desk person, arranged an early breakfast so we could get to the hikes at break of dawn. Kevin also gave us a map outlining the hike options, distance of each hike and horse back riding. The hotel is nearly tucked about 1 mile in from the park entrance and our Uber driver was able to enter the park and deliver us door to door for a few of $6 dollars paid to the park for car entry. If you are driving I'm your own car, the Zirwa hotel has free parking and you can also drive and park at the trail entrance which saves a 3 mile walk or if not a park shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes and can take you from the hotel to the trail parking for only $1.25 dollars each way
- Sushila (10/5): - Our stay at Zirwa Boutique Hotel was truly magical. Set right inside Tayrona National Park, it offers the most incredible jungle and mountain views — waking up there felt unreal.
From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Despite our limited Spanish, the staff were warm, patient, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.
The room was spacious, with only three rooms in the entire property, which made the experience feel intimate and exclusive. On our first night, we even had the whole hotel to ourselves! We loved the wrap-around balcony and the generously sized bathroom. As expected when staying so close to nature, there were quite a few bugs and the water pressure was limited — but this is something we’ve encountered elsewhere in Colombia and it comes with the territory.
The food was exceptional. We requested breakfast in our room so we could enjoy it from the balcony, and they happily accommodated us. Meals do take around 50 minutes to 1 hour, so I’d recommend ordering earlier than when you plan to eat — but it’s absolutely worth the wait. They also offer a flat-rate laundry service, and everything came back fresh and spotless.
Tip: If you’re planning to hike to Cabo San Juan, you can simply flag down the shuttle buses that pass right outside the hotel. They run roughly every 15 minutes, and as of December 2025, the fare was COP $6,000 per person — make sure to have exact change.
Overall, Zirwa Boutique Hotel is the perfect blend of nature
- Rie Erichsen (10/5): - Det mest vidunderlige hotel i de smukkeste omgivelser. Magisk!
