- Walker (9/5): - For a hostel the stay was very enjoyable. The place is definitely funky - it's a hostel afterall - but has lots of character that says come on in and relax for a bit. The owner Arturo was very kind and cared very much about whether or not my family was comfortable. The staff was really nice; they were knowledgeable and helpful with any questions that we had about hiking or places to check out. There was also fresh home baked banana bread and carrot cake for the guests to enjoy!!!
- Jeremias (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hedieh (10/5): Exceptional - Everyone and everything was so great in this little refiugio
- Rachael (10/5): Highly recommend! - The photos do not do this rustic and charming hostel justice. In a great location right near the ferry. The rooms are cosy, clean and warm with views of the channel for whale watching. Arturo picked me up from the immigration centre and gave me a tour of the town. The hostel is social and everyone will often cook together and share food and stories of their travels. Arturo has created a home away from home.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (10/5): Location, warm atmosphere and overall a great hostel. - Location and views across the Beagle Channel. Also close to boat if arriving in the middle of the night. Arturo has created a warm environment and we enjoyed meeting the other hostel stayers. One big family. Emma a delight too. Very flexible.
- Tabilo (8/5): Relaxing and cozying - It was cozy, and the view is gorgeous There is not enough noise cancelling between the rooms, so I heard everything from my neighbors (literally everything).
- Shyleen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sook (10/5): Cozy and rustic home away from home! - Cozy and rustic refugio right at the Beagle Channel at a stone throw away from the ferry docking location. The roofed porch is the perfect place to watch the channel for passing whales. Owner Arturo was very welcoming and accommodating, ever ready to share his knowledge of the island’s interesting spots. The communal space has the homely feel (for me) thanks to the wood stove and sweet resident cat. NB: it is currently receiving TLC by a long-term volunteer, a skilled carpenter. Also, I do not recognize the more critical comments. I would definitely stay again and do not hesitate to recommend Jemmy Button. Nothing much really. As in all places I’ve stayed: sound does carry through here as well.
- Palamine (10/5): The perfect place while in Puerto Williams and Arturo is an excellent host! - The most delicious meals I ever have!
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful host, great location, comfortable bed in a nice room - The location is fantastic, right across from the ferry ramp and a few doors down. Wonderful host, knowledgeable and interested in sharing the local sights and experiences. Good breakfast included every morning.
