Guest Reviews
- Colette (8/5): Easy access, clear directions for parking and very comfortable. - The location was great, very easy. Breakfast we supplied ourselves. Helpful tip is that there could have been a few more cups/glasses. If you were staying for a while, a better equipped kitchen perhaps, but not if you're planning to eat out, restaurants easily within walking distance from this location.
- georgia (7/5): - Everything! Lovely place! Didn't sleep much due to the noise outside from public nothing to do with the property its just situated in a busy part of town.
- Ranjeet (8/5): We loved the stay. - We enjoyed the stay. The location is great. The property is very well maintained.
- Wood (10/5): EXCEPTIONAL WORCESTER Accommodation with character and perfect location - Perfect location, all amenities provided, very clean and comfortable, great value for money with private parking included Would have preferred a later checkout than 10am, 12 noon would be great so we have time for breakfast and don't feel rushed to get out.
- Karen (10/5): Great stay, exceeded expectations. - Brilliant location. Good selection of restaurants in close walking distance. The car space a great bonus. Flat beautifully decorated.
- Shelley (9/5): -
- Bean (9/5): Would visit again - Great location , clean warm rooms and helpful vendors , highly recommended
- Les (10/5): Great stay at Friar Loft. Worcester - Clean, comfortable and well equipped and centrally located which was great
Private, reserved parking was a real bonus Nothing
- Teresa (7/5): Great for exploring Worcester - Superb central location
Pleasant apartment with mainly good facilities A lack of some utensils (bread knife)
- Ruth (9/5): Fabulous - Very attractive well appointed and comfortable apartment in great location with parking
- Lyndon (9/5): Excellent. - Location and cosy feel.
- Mayra Beatriz (10/5): Excellent - Me encanta volveria otra ves , buena ubicación, muy limpio y privado. El piso hace mucho ruido después lo demas excelente
- Claire (9/5): Lovely clean property in a great city centre location. - A lovely clean period property in the heart of the city. The car parking space was right next to two large commercial rubbish bins so we were worried about access to them as the car had to be right up against them. There was no rubbish collection during our stay so it was fine.
- Moores (8/5): - Good location. Plenty of space.
- Joshua (10/5): Is the best one we have stoped in Worcestershire - Excellent location and private parking made out stay even more better Nothing
- Jatinder (10/5): - Clean and comfortable, great communication, and very responsive.
- Donna (8/5): Great communication from the host, great location - Location
- Griffiths (9/5): Highly recommend - The location was perfect, shops / pubs / cafés etc around the corner. Parking was great, at the back of the flat. The flat itself was very comfortable, lovely big bath!
Communication with the owner was excellent.
Can highly recommend. Nothing.
- Caroline (10/5): Will definitely be booking again. - Fantastic location, right in the centre of Worcester so could walk everywhere and leave the car in our allocated parking space. Accommodation was warm, clean and stylish. We had everything we needed provided for us such as towels, good kitchen facilities etc. Nothing!
- Wendy (8/5): Just needs a few touches to make it outstanding! - Excellent location, so close to everything! Nicely decorated quirky building, spacious, parking was a bonus once we managed to find it! Host was very quick to respond to an issue. Biggest issue was the inability to open the windows in the main bedroom meaning it was unbearably hot. Curtains in all rooms are thin open weave linen style with a lining but didn't keep out the daylight from 4am onwards! Please provide some privacy with blackout blinds in bedrooms and bathroom!
The bathroom let down the rest of the property as it was badly in need of a refurb or at least a deep clean. Reported that the shower wasn't attached to the wall and the temperature valve was damaged meaning the water was scolding hot - potentially very dangerous. Received a partial refund for this.
Missing lightbulbs meant the sitting room was dark and there was a coffee machine with no pods, in fact no tea/ coffee / milk (which wasn't a problem as we'd brought our own but would be a nice touch for the price). Some issues with cleanliness - part of a chocolate wrapper on the floor of the twin room, dog hair on the back of one of the dining chairs. Windows covered in thick cobwebs - yes, it's an old building but these could be cleaned away! We would stay here again however due the convenience of the location and hope these issues might be addressed.
- Rosie (10/5): - This property was perfect. We visited as a group of three and the location was great. It was only a ten minute walk into the main city centre. The apartment was spotless, the kitchen was very well equipped, very comfortable beds, spacious apartment and efficient communication from hosts. Thanks for a great stay we would definitely come again.
- Paul (9/5): Fantastic location for a stay in Worcester with parking! - Great location, good value and hosts were super responsive. Super facilities and great really nice interior If I was picky having the outside security light stay on longer would be better for entrance
- stephen groutage (10/5): -
- Abby (10/5): Lovely little place. Very clean. Perfect location for the Xmas market. Beds comfy. - Perfect location. Right on friary street where the Christmas market was. Nothing it was great
- Stella (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - Nicely decorated, very cosy and quirky, excellent location plus the benefit of a parking space
- Michael (9/5): Fantastic 1st floor property right in the heart of Worcester. - Very well furnished. Big bedrooms. Great location. N/a
- Stephanie (10/5): Beautiful, quirky & historic but cosy & comfy. - Location in a beautiful historic street. Flat quirky and full of features. Cosy and warm. Creaky floorboards sloping floors and beams. Just stunning. The communal entrance stairs left a lot to be desired however once you were in the flat it was just lovely.
- Annie (10/5): -
- Yasmin (10/5): Charming flat within walking distance to pubs/ restaurants/ shopping and sights - I liked the decor and the layout As it was an old building the floorboards squeaked/creaked from the upstairs flat and also this property. However this didn’t spoil our stay.
- Ben (10/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Historic property in central Worcester - Cosy property near the centre of the city. Had all that we needed. Comfortable beds. Great to have parking A bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights and you can sometimes hear noise from neighbouring properties due to the old walls.
- Jayne (8/5): - Lovely apartment very spacious and very central Bathroom is a bit outdated
- Helen (6/5): - Location, space and free parking Noise, mostly from the traffic, private and business, pedestrians on the street outside, and a little from the flat above.
There was no tin opener provided and no plug for the bathroom sink
- christian (10/5): Overnight Stay - Our stay in Friar Loft was very nice, we had a lovely time. The location is right in the city centre and everything is within walking distance, which is great. The place was very clean and comfortable, we would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
- robinson (9/5): -
- Karen (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Beautifully presented, very chilled vibe and great facilities. Friendly and helpful owner. Nothing to dislike.
- Williams (9/5): - Great Location and parking easy right in the heart of Worcester can not fault
- Kirsty (1/5): Disappointed - Location Can’t really rate the property as never got any access. Booking was accepted but I was unable to contact owners to get in. Not ideal after a long drive Booking.com helpful and tried also to contact owner with no response so they cancelled my booking. I managed to stay in local Premier Inn. If you plan to book this make sure you try to contact the owner. They have still not answered my messages and emails.
- Jess (9/5): - Brilliant location, quirky characterful property, comfy beds.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Gill (9/5): Superb -
- Lowman (8/5): Great location, very comfortable.. just needs little things to be exceptional - Location is excellent and comfortable The bath could be better, and windows difficult to open
- Carla (9/5): Lovely stay in the centre of Worcester :) - Lovely property, quirky design, very central. Parking space was a big bonus The one twin bed was at a slant I think due to the age of the building and floorboards, so I’d wake up rolled against the wall. This was minor though, beds were comfortable otherwise
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): Really enjoyed it. Would stay again, - Great location and very comfortable Shower was a bit strange. Seemed to be unable to cool it down when it was hot. Maybe it was just us. Toilet lid was a bit dodgy. No plug in bathroom sink.
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jayne (8/5): Nice stay and perfect for what we needed - Location
Option to take pet
Well equipped Communal and access area
- Kim (7/5): Centrally located, pleasant apartment - The Friar Loft was very centrally located, spacious accommodation. The place needs a little TLC - 3/4 light bulbs in the lounge were out, no bath mat provided, windows didn't easily stay open...
- David (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean, great location, spacious and parking a great bonus. Main door locks need looking at, difficult with the key, work but needs "jigging" around
- Helen (7/5): Okay but the flat needs a bit of tlc and broken things put right - Great location, comfy beds, nice decor, useful parking Broken, dirty windows; lack of black out curtains; bedside lamps didn’t work; bedroom tv didn’t work; no plug in bathroom sink; glasses and crockery needed cleaning.
- Lara (9/5): Central, comfortable - Really great location and well-decorated, and comfortable
Great communication with the host when we had a mix up with the keys which was sorted out in minutes
- Julie (5/5): Passable - The central location Bedside lights didn’t work and TV didn’t work
- Cherry (10/5): Beautiful and comfortable. Would Highly recommend - Beautiful, comfortable, perfect location on historic street. Would definitely come and stay here again.
- Anna (9/5): Excellent location for exploring Worcester. - Great decor, comfortable beds and fab location.
- Michelle (7/5): Satisfactory 1 night city stay - Location is great - lounge & bedrooms are superior to the kitchen , bathroom & communal area or Kitchen & bathroom needs upgrading
- Appledoreblue (7/5): Comfortable and convenient, if a little quirky. - Very characterful property, in a convenient and fairly quiet location. We had all the essentials we needed for an overnight stay, and there was plenty of space - a very good sized living room. The shower worked well, and the towels were big and of good quality. The plumbing was very noisy - especially when the toilet cistern was filling up, and we were surprised not to find any hand towels or kitchen towels.
- Carolyn (10/5): Beautiful flat - Stunning decor and everything you could need. In a perfect location and added bonus of a car parking space. Lamps in bedrooms didn’t work
- Nicola (8/5): Easy Worcester - Really perfect location for a weekend with friends. Facilities as expected.
- Louise (10/5): The best - Such a beautiful place to stay
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (10/5): Must stay - Amazing for the price
- John (5/5): Passable - Bathroom
- Tony (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic place. Real homely feel! Perfect location right in the centre. Great communication.
- Emily (8/5): Great flat in excellent location. thank you - Lovely historic property in great location. Clean and welcoming and warm.
- Carlton (9/5): Well located spacious apartment in a very central location. - Good location, spacious and well equipped. Good communication by manager. Nothing.
- Zoe (10/5): Would highly recommend this let, it’s outstanding. - Beautiful property and very well kept. The little extras made a lovely surprise and were very much appreciated. N/a
- Robert (10/5): Great location in a character flat. - Great location, character filled building and street, comfortable beds and lovely ambiance.
The flat is well presented and decorated. A real home from home. Needed a coffee plunger (I left one behind).
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): I felt so relaxed and felt at home - Absolutely fantastic place to stay , the decor is tasteful keeping the original beams keeping with the authenticity of the Tudor street, right in the centre it’s a must My only gripe was no bath towels, had a great chat with the owner he thought some would be there but heh I was ok it’s only an oversight
- Marek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dan (8/5): Very good -
- Joanna (5/5): Great place to stay if you want to be in the centre of town. - Location was good as in the centre of town. The decor was also lovely and they had dressed the dining room table up which was lovely . Parking, noice as windows did not close properly and outside the property was not very nice
- Emma (9/5): Great for a short family get together - Very nicely decorated and a well equipped kitchen. Was very nice having an allocated parking spot as this is quite rare from what I could see for properties in Worcester. Shower was very good pressure and got hot quickly I suspect that there is a build up of dust in the living room as I was sneezing quite a lot in that room, but other rooms in the house and outside the house I was fine. Can be a bit noisy in the master bedroom at night as you can hear people walking back from a night out
- Liz (9/5): Perfect apartment for a night away in Worcester. Definitely recommend - Spotlessly clean apartment, everything we needed and in a great location. Nothing it was all great for a short stay.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (9/5): Comfortable, tasteful and plenty of space - Fabulous stay in the heart of Worcester, great for a get together with friends Just needed a 5th chair at dining table and a tea towel
- Neil (10/5): A perfect property in a perfect location - An absolutely outstanding property, perfect in every way. It was immaculate, well appointed and tastefully decorated with everything that you could possibly want in terms of facilities. The spacious sitting/dining room was thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable, the kitchen was modern with everything you needed and the bathroom also. The two bedrooms in the property were large and very comfortable. The heating was on when I arrived and the level on a cold day and throughout my stay was just right. The location is ideal for a visit to Worcester being in a side street a matter of minutes walk from everything. The owner could not have been more helpful, keeping in touch from the time of my booking until my departure with useful information and updates. The owner also responded very quickly as well, which was much appreciated. Nothing at all.
- Helen (10/5): Fabulous place will definitely be returning - Amazing location, gorgeous interior comfy and cosy Everything was great
- Williams (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (8/5): Very good - Location is great, lots of nice bars and restaurants on the same street. Bathroom smelt a bit, presumably due to the drains.
- Emma (5/5): The apartment needs a good clean! - The location was the best thing about this property and the parking spot. First impressions were terrible. The communal stairs and hall was filthy, full of bikes, a pushchair and dirty laundry bags.
The apartment needed a good vacuum and the bathroom was so dusty behind the door and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks.
Although I appreciate the building is old, the noise from the flat above was annoying. Every footstep, toilet flush and the shower could be heard. The old water pipes were so noisy and woke me up at 5.30am.
There was no lamp in the twin bedroom. There were 3 different bulbs out in the hall and living room. None of the LED candles had working batteries in and the lamp in the living room needs a shade.
This apartment in central, however if I was the host I'd be sorting a deep clean, and ensuring everything works after every visit.
Assuming the property is a leasehold, I'd also be asking the landlord to do something with the communal entrance and stairs.
We were disappointed and won't stay again I'm afraid.
- Denise (9/5): Superb - Location was really good, it was right in the heart of the the city We couldn't park in our designated parking space, because it was already in use.
But when I phoned the owner to complain he soon fixed it
- Johanna (10/5): A chic, cosey and comfy place to stay. - The apartment was even more sumptuous than it looked in the photos online. The decor is an exquisite mix of contemporary furniture and original exposed beams, that makes the apartment both chic and cosey. The beds are super comfy. It was very clean. And central to where we wanted to be. When I next need to stay in Worcester, I will look here first. We would have liked to have stayed longer. But will be returning another time and will certainly look to stay here again. If I could give 6 stars, I would
- Martyn (9/5): Superb -
- Simon (1/5): The second worst property I’ve ever booked. Left 15 minutes after walking through the door, never to return. - Nothing Everything
- Helen (8/5): Good location - Location was brilliant as was the parking space. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space to spread out. No toilet paper, no bath mat. Side light in master bedroom didn't work.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aileen (7/5): Great location but repeatedly reported issues with the bathroom need to be fixed. - Great central location. Good sized property and is well appointed. As others have said flushing the toilet results in a foghorn noise and there was a strong drain smell in the bathroom. Glasses, cups and bowls had to be washed before use as they were dirty.
- Simone (9/5): Lovely flat - comfortable, full of character and a great location! - Lovely flat, comfortable, full of character and a great location! Plumbing issue - horrendous noise from the pipes after flushing the loo.
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (10/5): Large, comfortable, clean apartment. - Large, comfortable, and very clean apartment in a great location. The owner sent a video of where to park which was very helpful.
- Andy (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (9/5): Was perfect for our needs - Contact with the host with regards to directions and access into property was really good, really helped to have allocated parking space, location excellent; direct access to city centre...Apartment was really well decorated and comfortable.... The lack of a pint of milk !
- Carol (9/5): Superb - Decor, ambience, location
