- Glen (9/5): Peaceful. Solitude. Great Staff and Owner. Recommended! - I requested the balcony for the view and was not disappointed. I also selected Coconut Palms for a quiet stay and I was not disappointed. If you want to relax and get away from mayhem, this is the place. Breakfast was a 3 egg Masala Omelette, as I requested each morning and delivered to my room on time. Manager Raul the owner assisted me with taxi, boat ride, and recommendations. Staff were exceptionally attentive. I had a great stay! Nothing.
- Roshan G (9/5): Away from chaos, value for money, and a peaceful place to enjoy the backwaters. - Our stay was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean, had storage, a big mirror, and was full of natural light, but if you're traveling during summer, then keep the shades down to block sunlight. The best part was that you could see the backwaters from inside the room or from the terrace outside the room. The bathroom is spacious as well. The host served a homemade breakfast in our room as well. If you are visiting Kumarakom, then this is a highly recommended place. The property owner also has a shikara boat that you can rent and sail across the backwaters and the lake. We loved the care and approachability of the host/owner. The little garden adjacent to the property is also nice to spend a few mins watching all the fruit trees and plants. One can also walk around the neighbourhood to experience the backwaters. Definitely recommend. The room gets hot from direct sunlight on the window, but you have an air conditioner.
- Dr. Desiraju Lakshmi Narsimha (9/5): - Great location, friendly staff, boat ride available just at the entrance, massage parlour close by. Sumptuous breakfast. Have to pay cash or digital payment by UPI through bank debit. Credit card not accepted. UPI linked credit card payment is also not possible.
- Girija (9/5): Excellent - Breakfast was excellent Approach Road was a bit narrow

- Pieter (10/5): Exceptional - We spent our last two nights in Kerala at Coconut Palms Village Homestay, and it was such an amazing experience. The rooms were super clean, felt brand new, and were incredibly comfortable. Everything about the place made us feel at ease.
What really made the stay unforgettable was the owner. He was so welcoming and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. He helped us organize a boat trip, and he even cooked us dinner twice—and honestly, the food was some of the best we had during our entire trip to India! He asked us what we wanted, prepared everything fresh, and it was absolutely delicious.
We truly felt at home here, and it was the perfect way to end our trip. If you’re visiting Kerala, you’ve got to stay here. It’s a wonderful place with great people, and we can’t recommend it enough!
- Juby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bhupendra (8/5): Great Home stay, great location, Great staff - The breakfast is very good, special home made, authentic South Indian dishes. The rooms and bathroom/toilets are very clean. It's a very new property, maybe a year old, and very well maintained.
Convenient location and don't forget - owner has Shikkara, house boat and even a speed boat, so you can get a very good activities help as well. Restaurants and attractions are literally walking distance and otherwise a couple min drive.
Extremely accommodating owner. You ask for anything and owner will arrange quickly.
It is located right on canal/river, so you will get a good view of river traffic and nice sunset view No complaints, all good. Remember it's a Home stay, not a hotel, so be prepared for not having a front desk or a restaurant (there are couple very close by) or hotel amenities.

The rates were reasonable, and the meals were not only delicious but also meticulously prepared. The serene surroundings added to the overall tranquility, making it the perfect retreat to unwind. Without a doubt, we will eagerly return if we find ourselves in the area again. A heartfelt thank you to Coconut Palms Village Homestay for an unforgettable experience." This is a new venture. Nothing to blame. We hope that many more guests will come here and go back satisfied.
