• Oleg (10/5): - An apartment in a historic building and a central location, just a 10-minute walk from main attractions. Well-equipped. Manuela, the host, helped us with everything, explained and recommended great restaurants.

Manu nos recibió, aunque por comodidad tuvimos las llaves disponibles un poco antes de que ella llegara. Al venir conduciendo es difícil cuadrar las horas. Es un primero, sin ascensor, pero accesible, situado en una casa con encanto que ahora, precisamente, ha comenzado la restauración. Tiene aire acondicionado, algo que es de agradecer al estar en septiembre con temperaturas elevadas y bastante humedad. Como nota añadida, las recomendaciones de lugares en los que comer fueron todas excelentes.

• Matthew (10/5): Spacious accommodation in perfect location to explore Catania. - Large, spacious accommodation that was perfect for our group of 7. Apartment is well appointed and in an excellent location to explore Catania. Parking on the street was easy, but if it was busy there was a small parking lot behind the monastery that always had availability. Manuela was very easy to get in contact with and very flexible with arranging check in and accommodating our schedule. Nothing I can think of at this price point. Excellent value for money.
• John (9/5): Superb - Spacious and modern apartment in a traditional building with a short walk to the city centre. Manuela was very helpful and very responsive to queries. A great host. The power is enabled by a card attached to the door key, which means the electricity is disconnected every time you leave the apartment. You then have to wait quite a while for the WiFi to restart when entering the apartment.

• Luc (8/5): A vast apartment nested in a historic building at the heart of the historic center of Catania - The location and the space available. The light and the cleanliness. The person who received us was helpful and flexible enough to allow a late checkout The building and the common areas were quite rundown with n’unfortinatley line the rest of the buildings in Catania it seems, especially in this historic district. One of the rooms did not have a window on the outside but on the entry. The streets are quite noisy and the neighbors as well and despite the insonorisation difficult no to hear all that.
• Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, comfortable beds, good showers. Excellent location only 10 minutes walk from city centre attractions. Manuela was very helpful with check in and out as well as making excellent restaurant recommendations.
• Liina (10/5): Cool design and spacious - This flat was a jackpot for my family (4 adults and one teenager). The location is perfect for all the sightseeing. Its a stylish flat in a historical building, which made our stay in Catania more authentic. It has enough common space with a functioning kitchen, couch and a big dining table, as well as private space with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bedrooms were spacious and quiet, we all got good night sleep. The whole flat was nicely clean. During check-in, Manuela came personally to greet us which was convenient after a long traveling day. Also, for the whole stay we were in contact through Whatsapp, Manuela was giving advice on taxi etc. It was very helpful, I dont think anyone could get such personal support when staying in a hotel. Im very happy we chose Manuela's flat and would definitely recommend it to others!

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its charm and elegance. The apartment is beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with a touch of traditional Sicilian character. The space was immaculately clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, making us feel right at home. The location is unbeatable – nestled in a vibrant neighborhood that offers a perfect balance of tranquility and access to the city's best attractions. Whether we were exploring the bustling local markets, enjoying a leisurely stroll through the historic center, or savoring delicious Sicilian cuisine at nearby restaurants, everything was just a short walk away. The host was exceptional – responsive, friendly, and eager to ensure our stay was perfect. She was always available to assist with any questions or needs. In summary, Casa Dante exceeded all our expectations - providing comfort, convenience, and an authentic experience of Sicilian life
• Tao (5/5): Passable - Nice updated unit. Good part of town. Interesting historic building. Nice view of monastery. Good info from host about things to do and nice check in procedure. Electricity key restricts ease of movement. Bedding not supplied without request. Extra towels a choir to receive. The host failed to clarify the charges for our extra guest at the time of check in when the matter was brought up. "APPLIED" these charges to us after the extra guest had already checked in without reveiving our consent to the added fees. Got angry and threatened to call the police on us if we didn't acquiesce to the charges that were never made clear up front. In fairness the guest who requested the extra party over reacted and also responded rudely when pressed for the "Added Fees". Situation could have been avoided however if the host had brought up the details about the added fees at the time of check in when the extra guest was discussed with them, not several days later after the guest was already staying. Host's demanor was very good up untill that point, although policies regarding electricity, bedding, towels and trash were difficult and restrictive.
• Olha (10/5): Nice apartment for a group of people - Very nice, spacious and cozy apartment. It`s really enough of space for a group of people (we were 4). There is all the stuff in the kitchen if you need to cook. The apartment is located in a little walking distance from the center. The windows face an active street but with closed windows it was quiet but if you like to sleep with open windows... it will be not possible. In general we liked our stay and Manuela was always helpful. One inconvenience we had... the far bedroom from the living room had no Internet connection. Probably because the building is historical and walls are too wide. It was not a big problem but a friend who lived there always needed to go to the living room to get Internet connection. So a recommendation for Manuela maybe to put one more Internet router there.
• Edit (8/5): I can recommend the accommodation. - Excellent location, every attraction is in walking distance. The area is reasonably quiet during the night. The apartment has recently been refurbished and very clean. The rooms are large, well equipped kitchen. Please note that special rules apply to one of the bathrooms, and selective waste collection must be taken into account, as well as the guest's responsibility to take the garbage to the front of the house on the days according to the garbage calendar.
