Guest Reviews
- karen (6/5): - We had a nice stay... But could have been cleaner... Cob webs in the kitchen and dirty cups... Only a very small about of washing up liquid left and a broken saucepan
- ivers (9/5): Loved Tathra - Cute, cosy, old Grade 2 listed cottage perfectly situated in the heart of St Ives. Spread over 4 floors with comfy furnishings. Nice little details throughout, for instance a small selection of books & board games & beautiful mirrors etc. Comfortable beds. As other reviews have noted, it was a little bit musty smelling on lower floors when we arrived, but it's a very old building close to the sea in mid winter so hardly surprising! We took a plug in air freshener & that sorted it.
It can be a little noisy - but again, surely that's the expectation when you book a cottage in a great, central location.

- HAYLEY (6/5): Good, clean, close to action - Close to
Town Smelt of damp, shower needed attention
- Fleming (7/5): -
Kundenservice schlecht!!!
- Patricia (7/5): The one plus is the location - Location Main room with no mattress or pillow covers. Also dirty sofa and smelly downstairs blankets.
- Alison (6/5): Great location, shame about the damp smell - Location great, bedrooms nice and showers really good There was a smell of damp in the kitchen and living room which by the end of the week meant we did not really use anything other than bedrooms and bathrooms
- Sue (5/5): St Ives is lovely and the main interest for us was The Tate and the Hepworth - The stairs. Too steep and different heights, there was not enough warning of the difficulty of this for anyone at all elderly.
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Lovely cottage in central location.
- Alexdinescu (7/5): great location but the house could have been more comfortable - the location was great, just a minute away from all the restaurants and the pier.
the house was clean for heating, the boiler was at the last floor; this made the last floor ( a bedroom ) extremely hot compared to the ground floor ( or even worse the lower ground floor which was really cold );
there was an old house smell at the lower ground floor, which was persisting up to the first floor;
while we were rightfully told that we cannot park in front of the house, a car got parked in front of the house entrance in two of the 3 days, blocking the entrance, especially when carrying any luggage. The car owner even confronted us saying we should not touch his car when he found his back wiper raised.
- Daniel (9/5): A comfortable cosy stay in the centre of St Ives - The location was fantastic right in the heart of all the action. The property itself was good it had all the facilities we required to make our stay comfortable. The furniture was all comfortable especially the beds. The showers were nice and hot and powerful. Barnoon car park is a short walk up the hill away so easy to park and walk down with bags etc. The property is split over 4 levels which wasn’t a problem for us but those with mobility issues may wish to consider this and the corridors are narrow. The stairs down the to the kitchen you have to mind your head going down.
- Paul (8/5): Great stay in the centre of St Ives. - Great location, right in centre of St Ives. Pretty cottage, well furnished on all four floors. Able to park outside to unload was useful and not far from car park. Decor a little tired in places and slightly damp but nothing too serious. Lounge a bit dusty - not noticeably but I can always tell cause have a dust allergy!
- Amanda (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Very comfortable and clean Nothing
- David (8/5): We had a nice short break. The cottage was really nice and in a convenient location. - Really lovely cottage With a pub next door deliveries and collection of recycling were early in the morning. Just before 6ish so it does disturb you as very noisy.
