Guest Reviews
- Julie (9/5): Lovely Traditional Japanese stay - A traditional Japanese apartment with tatami matting, screen doors and a lovely comfortable feel. The toilet and shower area appear to be recently renovated and are excellent. Plenty of towels, the availability of a washing machine and a cute little outdoor terrace. Far enough away from the noise of the busy areas of Namba but easy walking distance to them. A couple of small cafes very close by. The manager of the hostel next door was very friendly and helpful and took our luggage in before we arrived. Good communication with the owner. Not an issue for us but the stairs are quite steep and there is not a lot of room for hanging clothes.
- Lucian (9/5): Really nice traiditional house. - The owner is very fast at responding and gives free gifts.
The apartment is fully equipped. We didn’t use the washing machine as it was on the terrace and it looked dirty.
Nice traditional vibe- it’s an old apartment but renovated with a lot of modern stuff.
Nice bath and shower.
The beds are not futons, but regular small beds(comfortable though). It smelled a little bit like old stuff.
The sliding doors and the window do not fully close.
- Belinda (8/5): An authenticJapanese experience, conveniently located in Namba - We loved the Ryokan feel of the home, it was such a unique experience, living above a traditional soba noodle shop, there was even a little outdoor balcony at the back. The owner and neighbours were so friendly & helpful with our luggage it made checking in so much easier. The location was fantastic, easy level walk everywhere including to Namba Station. Lots of food options but just far enough from Namba to be away from the main tourist area. The outdoor balcony area could be a little cleaner.
- Sergio Alejandro (10/5): - Everything but the location was superb Nothing

- Andre (8/5): Cute Japanese style accomodation and thoroughly enjoyed. - Location not far from Namba station. 2 bedrooms was useful, dining table and outdoor washing machine with clothes hangers were handy. We enjoyed staying here and would recommend it. Email door codes before we are due to check in would prevent the hassle of trying to contact the owner for them. Street noise could impact light sleepers.
- SEUNGMIN (10/5): 감성 최고 - 깔끔한 정돈상태, 넓은 방, 아기자기한 감성까지
이 가격대에 이만한 숙소가 있을까 싶네용 없음

- Jack (10/5): A Gem in Namba - Very good traditional house. Nice features and location is ideal, quite quiet for how central it is- cafe zenzen across the street is a great coffee/ breakfast option. Toilet and shower and seperate rooms and good quality- very generous amount of towels.
It is easy to miss this gem as the advertising photos doesn’t do justice to how good it was. Cooking equipment is minimal which is usual for this style of accomodation.
- Eugene (10/5): Excellent facility. Will stay here again - Good location

- Alexis (9/5): Lovely authentic traditional Japanese guesthouse. Suitable for a small family - Traditional look and feel. We liked that there was a soba noodle shop below us Perhaps the security was limited

Quartier calme. A Proximité des commerces, des restaurants. Appartement traditionnel, très bon rapport qualité prix. Rien
- Samantha (10/5): Simply perfect- would recommend. - Perfect in every way!
And the noodles downstairs were delicious 🤤
- Stella (9/5): Wonderful - Authentic style, good shower room, there were all facilities
- Kimberley (10/5): Would stay here again was such a relaxing place to stay. - Great location. Lovely traditional guest house with a private balcony to enjoy.
- Teeraput (10/5): Exceptional - A whole space of the unit which consists of 2 connecting bedrooms, 1 bathroom , 1 toilet, pantry area with microwave, washing machine, and balcony. The stairs for going up to the 2nd floor where we stay is quite narrow, so it was a little bit difficult to lift up big luggage.
- Rachel (9/5): Awesome - The place is a short walk to Namba station, and Dontonburi. Self check in process is straightforward with detailed instructions. Noodle shop downstairs with great food and friendly staff. Overall comfortable stay!
- Pakamad (9/5): Superb - So good
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): Wonderful place to stay. - An amazing and comfortable space.
Perfection!
- Nghiem (9/5): The rental was a great find with spacious accommodations, a convenient location, and a friendly host. - This rental was a great find with us! The space was clean and spacious for everyone to sleep comfortably. The balcony was a bonus, perfect for drying clothes after a day of exploring. The kitchen was well-equipped, with everything you need to cook your own meals.
The host was friendly and always communicate promptly.
Besides convenience stores, there is a grocery store nearby which provides fresh food, vegetables that is helpful if you cook.
Overall, a fantastic stay! The facility shares the ground floor with other soba restaurant so if you are staying during the day, you might not comfortable making nosies. Especially, traveling with kids 😂
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Milagros (9/5): Superb -
- Youssef (10/5): The Best place - Everything was amazing: House, area, amenities, location...it feels like home
The host is super nice and helpful
- Ricky (10/5): Exceptional - authentic feel of the property
plenty of living space for 4 people
sufficient facilities
convenience of the location the stairs are quite steep to carry large suitcases.
- Yu (7/5): Cozy & clean traditonal stay with a balcony - Clean, good location, enough space for 4 persons. There is a restaurant beneath.
- Kenny (9/5): It was very enjoyable and we really liked it! - It was very clean and well kept. It also provided all the amenities we needed to live comfortably for our stay, like a kitchen and washing machine. The owner was also really nice and helpful about teaching us how to go about our trip. It was convenient for us to visit places in Osaka from the house which made it really good value for money considering how much space we had. The place is also exactly like the pictures provided by the owner!! Nil!
- Yu (7/5): A good traditional setting for stay (if you don't mind a stiff staircase up) - The location was good and the rooms were nice although there were some dusts in the corners, but I really liked the traditional rooms setting. The bathroom was clean and nice with new towels. We really didn't have time to use the little kitchenette with microwave (also laundry washing machine) right by the staircase. I didn't know there was a stiff staircase up to the room (also didn't know it was on second floor of a restaurant) - thank goodness, we didn't have a problem going up the stairs as one person with a huge luggage decided not to come with us at the last minute! Also we wished there was a way to lock up for the night from inside such as a door bolt or some kind of extra safety feature.
- Phao (9/5): It is the nice place for staying in Osaka. - I really like the location and proper space of the property. The beds are so good they are warm and comfy. The dust on the table and shelf in the room and stain in basin. It will be perfect if this place has bath tub.
- Gintarė (8/5): Great place for short stay - Rooms are comfortable and same as in pictures, lots of space, private balcony. Host was very kind to let us use our room even on check out day, he did not have any guests that day so I was able to go back to my room and sleep as I was feeling bad. He also offered drinks and food! There was some misunderstanding with address, it was different than original, but it was same Hotel and room as per pictures. Room could use some renovation!
- Carlos (9/5): Superb - The location Maybe it was a bit small and the only table with chairs was outside, where it was always raining.
- Celestia (7/5): Good -
- Jsc (9/5): Superb - The host was the best!!!! He was so accommodating and friendly. The unit was so traditional and comfy too!
- Chi (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, very friendly and helpful staff. The apartment was spacious when compared to Japanese hotel rooms, rooms are very nice looking and comfy. Very unique experience to stay at a traditional Japanese house. 100% recommend if you don’t mind hauling your luggage up a short flight of stairs
- Satia (8/5): NAMBA CENTRAL TRADITIONAL HOUSE - The Traditional House is nice and clean.
But only have 1 shower and 1 toilet. Not 2 bathroom.
The location is close to convenient store and shops.
The owner is very nice and polite.
It was nice we can experienced the traditional Japanese house.
Thank you We like the house and please mentioned only 1 shower and 1 toilet, not 2 bathroom.
Thank you
- Filippo (4/5): Messy/shady management - Having a full traditional house for oneself is an interesting experience We stayed 3 days, the first day they double booked by mistake, and told us we'd be moved to a nearby similar location.
Instead, we got moved to a bunk bed hostel, for no discount except a partially free dinner that did not cover up for the change.
The worst part is that the manager was never fully transparent - we were not informed that we'd be moved to an hostel, and he told us that the free dinner did not include drinks immediately after we ordered them.
We got moved to the correct place on the second day, cool old style Japanese house, but quite run down.
- Thanyaporn (10/5): A nice comfy stay in the middle of Osaka. The host is great he is kind and very helpful - The property is very traditional style but comfy enough for 3-4 people to stay for a day up to weeks.
The location is great, very easy to travel around -
- Kamron (8/5): Very good -
- Phungbun (8/5): Friendly & Japanese style - Traditional Japanese House for people who like Japanese style…Facilities is good and friendly staff. My room look a like Doraemon’s room.. Towels
