- Katy (9/5): Wonderful cottage stay full of charm, perfect for families - Beautiful cottage full of charm and character. Had a lovely garden and was much bigger than I had imagined. Was an easy walk to the seafront, shop, cafe and pubs. On the whole was very clean and smelt nice but there were a few spiderwebs left behind above the fireplaces. The kids weren’t a fan of the spiders but that can’t be helped at this time of the year! Sometime hard to find a plug socket but that’s because it’s such an old house.
- Zoe (10/5): A wonderful stay - A beautiful building with a really lovely garden - the wisteria was blooming, which we especially loved.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and eating around the large table.
It was a perfect base for walking to the beach and the Hayling Billy track. Nothing was a problem for us - though it's worth noting that there is only one shower in the property and some of the ceilings are low (especially on the stairs!)
- Brenda (10/5): Great family time had by all of us. - Size and layout. The garden was beautiful. Nothing.
- Driscoll (10/5): The house was immaculately clean, wonderfully charming and immense fun, we cannot recommend highly e - What an absolute gem, the house is AMAZING, it felt like we had gone back in time, the house is like a living museum with the most wonderful old world charm, yet had everything you could possible want for a wonderful get away. The house was immaculately clean, wonderfully charming and immense fun, we cannot recommend highly enough. There was absolutely nothing we didn't like, we had an amazing stay.
- Crowley (10/5): Can’t wait to book again - Beautiful cottage with so much space and rooms leading onto more rooms. I stayed here with my 16, 13 and 9 year old and we were Very comfortable and cosy. The location is amazing with a great pub for food practically opposite and the west town I’m just 5mins walk has a great outside play area for kids. The beech is just 5minutes down the road. Will definitely return and highly recommend Matt and Helen as hosts. Great communication +++++
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (10/5): Retreat haven for 7 exhausted ladies - This house couldn't have been more perfect for our needs.
A group of ladies spent a long weekend, 3 nights, enjoying a pampering and self care retreat.
The games room was perfect for watercolour painting.
We did tai chi in the beautiful gardens, and even on a crisp February morning it was perfect.
We did a lot of eating and chattering around the magnificent dining table, plus chair massage and even had a little sing and dance in the spacious dinning room which became the hub of the house for us.
We cooked every meal (7) in the house. The kitchen easily held 7 busy women and there was everything we needed to prepare our food including our full Sunday roast.
Absolutely loved having a larder!
And we filled it to the brim!
As well as cooking equipment there was an array of serving dishes and platters and lovely crockery and glassware.
Our meals were veritable banquets!
The lounge was spacious enough for 6 yoga mats, but also so cosy, with plenty of seating and we made the most of the gorgeous open fire.
The bedrooms were amazing,
4 spacious doubles, one was smaller than the others but that was fine for our 7th lady.
(Would suit 2 children easily)
There is one bathroom, which funnily enough was not a problem at all even with 7 of us, and most of us enjoyed a luxurious soak in the roll top bath, but the shower option was well used too.
The extra loo downstairs was great.
We only left the house twice over our weekend, to walk down to the beach, 5 minutes walk from the house.
There is lidl enroute to the house, and a tesco metro over the road.
You can be in your own little world in the house, but with everything you need on the doorstep.
I'm so glad we booked 3 nights. 2 would definitely not have been enough, (7 would have been even better!)
Tracey and Matt are fantastic hosts, very communicative and so helpful.
I can't wait to stay there again! We're Already planning our next retreat. Having to leave 😢
- Dominic (8/5): Loved the stay in this well equipped period cottage - charming large period property well located in Hayling Island with ample parking. Perfect for families and friends. Well kitted out with all necessary amenities and comfort. Only challenge to manage, we all needed to leave to head to the Revival at the same time, so sequencing the sole family bathroom was a little challenging. (Downstairs loo helps)
- Krystie (10/5): Beautiful - Beautiful house, in a fantastic location.
The house was well equipped and clean.
The garden was a highlight and the children loved playing in it. Perfect set up for a lovely break by the sea. Tracy and Matt were perfect hosts with great communication thanks again, will definitely be returning :)
- Dexin (10/5): Great house for rest and relaxation - Great house for rest and relaxation. Cottage was clean and comfy. Good size backyard that is good for kids or playing games. The hosts were available when needed and friendly
just a short 10 min walk to the beach, would definitely go back.
- Alastair (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Nicholas (4/5): Good in some ways but lacks aspects that could make it good - Very spacious, superficially picturesque and a pleasant garden which was safe for our little boy. It served its purpose. We would not go again. Smell of dogs on the furniture, grubby furniture, minimal equipment in the kitchen. Could not work out the heating - lack of instructions. Little things like no dishwasher tablets, no washing powder and only a few toilet rolls. Needs a deep clean.
Not good value when all considered
- Rachel (10/5): A dream house - We had the best time ever. A perfect short break in the most perfect house possible. Can fault nothing about Sea Breeze... If only it was our house back home. The whole process from booking to coming home was seamless and we would 100% choose to stay here again. The location is excellent too. Nothing not too like.
- S (10/5): Wonderful hosts, comfortable stay. - Fantastic hosts and charming property with spacious bedrooms and a lovely, huge garden to relax in. Abundant space and excellent amenities catered well to our group of 5 visiting friends for the weekend.
Conveniently located with a Tesco Express and The Barley Mow across the road, offering a buffet breakfast from 09:00. We enjoyed a delicious curry at The Bay of Bengal (vegan friendly), a 15 minute walk.
The hosts were incredibly helpful, addressing all our questions prior to and during our stay. Uber proved challenging to book but thankfully the hosts provided a number for Havant Ride taxi service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to book the property again for our next visit to Hayling Island.
- Annette (10/5): Nice relaxing stay, hosts communication was excellent. - Lovely house in a nice location. Quirky features, unusual layout but worked for our family. Nice to have a separate games room. Nice big double bedrooms, lots of storage in the rooms. Can hear the wind through the chimney in the main bedroom at night but we still enjoyed our stay.
