Guest Reviews
- Sophie (4/5): Extortionate price for unclean and outdated apartment. - The beds were very comfortable. The apartment was not clean, there was thick mould growing all over one of the the blinds, there were cobwebs and dirty window runners. The tiles were falling off in the bathroom. The apartment did not match the clean and modern appearance of the pictures, we even checked to make sure we were in the right place! We paid nearly $500 for one night (in school holidays) which was extortionate for the quality of the apartment. After contacting the property manager to express my disappointment, I was told they are going to knock them down soon so will not be spending any money on them. Absolutely not acceptable to charge such a high fee if they are not willing to provide accommodation to a high standard of cleanliness and upkeep.
- Walters (1/5): Dont waste your money - Nothing Was nothing like the pictures,it waa discusting grass not mowed didnt even stay in room booked somewhere else
- Monica (10/5): -
- Joshua (5/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Was ok for location We didn’t get to stay in the property we arrived to gardens and absolute mess outside was miserable inside was rundown old and not much worked smelt of mould and damp clothes we got moved on after I called to address the property
- Emily (9/5): -
- Moran (7/5): Cosy but could be better. - Nice cosy space good for a family group. A decent place to stay. Came with enough kitchen stuff and clean linen and towels. Took us a minute to work the fans out but we got there. It wasn't 100% clean, had to clean hairs from the bath to use it and there were some cockroaches when we first entered. The garage door handle was broken when we entered but still usable. Couldn't get ceiling fan in lounge to work at all. But this is all Minor things.
- Matt (3/5): If you're desperate - Good location.. walking distance to beach. Shocked by the lack of maintenance and upkeep. Looks very untidy out front. Had to move tree branches from the driveway before parking. Long grass and an unkept garden.
Broken shower head repaired by sticky tape squirts water all over the bathroom and out the hallway. 😬
Back room missing fan remote.
Some dirt, dust, and spider webs on walls and some broken items in the garage.
Bad musty smell as you enter which does improve a little bit as it airs out.
The place is sold/under contract so possibly letting it go to ruins before being bulldozed or renovated.
I'd only consider staying if your desperate or on an absolute budget. Otherwise I'd consider somewhere else.
- Barker (7/5): - Location was good. The kitchen light didn't work over dinner table. Nor did the fan work in bedroom 1.
- Vanessa (8/5): Comfortable great base to come back to after exploring the Sunshine Coast. - It had everything we needed. Was a great location and very clean and comfortable and great value. The cleaner for upstairs apartment came and cleaned at 6am and woke me up . Would have like to have slept another hour.
- Natalie (7/5): Convienient, neat and tidy. - Good location with a short stroll to the beach. It had everything we needed. Clean linen and towels, clean kitchen, dining, lounge, bathroom.
- Waite (1/5): Filthy, dirty, stinks and over priced. Do not stay here. - Nothing. Absolutely filthy. Faeces in the toilet, floors were dirty and needed a vacuum and mop. Could not use the kettle as it had brown grim in it. The whole unit stinks so bad. Owner did not believe me, I've got photos. Over priced and I warn you do not waste your money, there's plenty of other resorts around.
- K (5/5): Decent value for money overall - good location, good size, but mouldy and dusty. - Proximity to everything was very good. Good sized apartment for a family or group of friends. Decent value for money. There was mould throughout the apartment. The bathroom and third bedroom smelt so strongly of mould it was off-putting. There was dust all over some walls and artworks. Not very good for someone that has allergies or hygiene concerns. Ants throughout kitchen and even living room.
- Chaya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Catherine (7/5): A good basic place to stay, plenty of room and a nice, quiet, easy to access location. - Easy to access, location wise. Shane Kelly was always available and really nice to speak to. A good basic place to stay overnight with our grown up kids. Roomy enough. Good shower pressure. We were on the ground level, might be a bit warm in very hot weather, not sure that it would be so comfortable getting ready in the afternoon for a special function. Glad it wasn’t a hot day for us.
- David (6/5): Ok - Lack of internet
- Leigh-ann (7/5): A quick overnight stay to do some diving. - The property was about a 10/15 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The property was clean and practical. The beds were comfortable. The property manager was excellent and the communication around the booking was great. We had issues with the internet and the ceiling fan, however the property manager came directly over and corrected the issue immediately.
The property is old and it is noticeable in the bathroom, kitchen and furniture. The grass was very long behind the apartment.
- Cleveland (6/5): Pleasant - Great location Property a bit pricey for what you actually get
Front Security Door was broken
Fan in living room didn’t work
- Amandeep (10/5): All over good experience - Clean and nice Need grill in kitchen
- Michelle (5/5): Passable - The location Didn't like that it was below other residential properties as the neighbours were noisy. Spent most of the night/ 3am awake due to the people living above. Can hear voices swearing coming from next door early hours of the night. Security door didn't lock. Didn't feel 100% safe. Glad it was only 1 night as we weren't there for most of the stay apart from sleeping. Musty smell as soon as we walked into the place from being locked up. The place looks tired due to the building being older.
- Natalie (6/5): A little hard to find at first but hosts were very helpful. - N/A
- Kendelle (5/5): Last minute booking - only slept there. Would not have been comfortable or happy with longer stay - Location to beach/cafes etc Musty/mouldy smell, loud neighbours, bathroom needs updating, property did not look, feel clean.
- Nathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danella (7/5): Good - Great homely space, and a quiet neighbourhood. Very comfy beds. Loved the spare toilet paper roll ‘flower’. The bathroom needs to be repainted near the shower as there is mould coming through the paint.
- Jessie (8/5): Budget friendly - Shampoo conditioner body wash some cooking oil salt Peper There was a fair bit of ants near door way
- Robert (8/5): It was a greta base to spend time with family, both in the facility and in the Sunshine Coast area. - The location was great for access to the Alex beach, and both Alex and Mooloolaba strips.
It was also a large and comfortable space for 3 couples and/or family. The room had a slightly musty smell from being closed to start with. This aired out quickly.
TV reception was sketchy and only one or 2 channels worked most of the day. I was able to watch the football in the evening, so that was a good consolation.
Again, not having TV is arguable whether it is a positive or a negative.
- Katie-lee (5/5): Ok, but won't stay again - Convenient location After driving 14 hours with 4 kids, we had to walk the street at 1am looking for the mailbox to confirm the address. The mailbox was hidden well inside the bushes making it very difficult to find the unit. The unit itself is quite old and needs an upgrade. The unit was quite dirty, large build ups of gunk and dirt in areas, dirty dishes placed back into cupboards, dirty kitchen cabinets and there is mould around the walls and ceilings. The 'supplied' toiletries were all empty, 'supplied' cleaning products were empty, not enough utensils for the number of people booked for, continually ran out of hot water due to the tiny size of the system, so only 2 out of the 6 booked for could shower. Will not stay again and would not recommend.
- Jade (1/5): Horrific - Nothing We got tricked into booking this place. The photos make it look like it’s a high rise apartment, we stupidly booked it by the photos. On arrival the place was disgusting, there was mould everywhere, the place smelled like stale piss and there were literal ants in our face washers and towels. I took photos and videos of it all. Yuck.
- Keidge (7/5): Good -
- Ned (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (6/5): comfortable, affordable, good location. - good location, close walk and super cheap. yard and surroundings need some maintenance
