- Peter (10/5): Great location, lovely lady running the hotel, couldn’t do enough for us. - Great location, lovely lady running the hotel, couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing.
- Tom (10/5): A comfortable stay in a beautiful location with a warm scottish welcome... - The view was beautiful, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the room was comfortable and clean. The shower worked well. There was ample parking on site and it was lovely and quiet Nothing to dislike
- Robin (10/5): Excellent - recommend for bikers - Excellent room and breakfast. The owner is a great character - thoroughly enjoyable stay. Highly recommend for bikers with covered storage for motorcycles.
- M (9/5): A cheerful stay with an excellent breakfast. - Very well located with a short walk to Lochgilphead shops and restaurants.
The room (a family room) was cheerful and spacious w a large bathroom w shower.
Wonderful breakfast in a colorful room and cheerfully served.
Off street parking.
The house itself was full of character and eclectic art.
We very much wish that we had stayed at the Corran for more than one night. The only drawback was the room being located up and down some stairs, but in an older home like this one you cannot expect the same level of accessibility as a modern hotel or guesthouse.
- Martin (9/5): A good place to stay with an excellent host. - Breakfast was fresh fruit and freshly cooked breakfast. Very high quality.
Pauline was excellent and it wouldn’t be the place it is without her. Bed was a little soft
- Chris (9/5): - Interesting art works throughout a spacious Victorian building. Good room size and comfortable bed. Good breakfast Shower difficult to control.

- milton (9/5): Such a homely feel! Like going to visit your favorite auntie - Beautiful views of the harbor from the dining room and our room. Large, bright room. Spotlessly clean. Pauline made us feel right at home and went out of her way to accommodate us. She is the Gem that shines in this little jewel! Noisy showers

We have an electric car and we're able to charge overnight at the nearby caravan park. The host is quite a character, giving a running commentary whilst making breakfast...

- Rebecca (9/5): Lovely gem! - Friendly welcome
Spacious, light room.
Beautiful views from room. Lovely breakfast room overlooking sea.
- Alison (8/5): Lovely old house - Lovely old house. Good breakfast. Comfy bed. Good location. It got a bit stuffy and we couldn't keep the windows open without propping them with a towel or bottle etc which was quite annoying. A little dated decor wise
- Anne (10/5): Perfect stopover place on our way to Islay, but could have stayed longer. - Breakfast was very good. Plenty to choose from: fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, traditional cooked breakfast, toast .... Nothing to dislike.
- Peter (7/5): - Lack of flexibility with breakfast times.
- sharkey (10/5): - Breakfast was lovely and Pauline an excellent host, she accommodated my early starts which was fantastic.
The house is unique and interesting. It's great to stay in small personal 'family' run property.
- Graeme (9/5): Great place to stay en route to Campbeltown - Room was spacious and very good
shower was good
breakfast was excellent
Pauline was a top hostess
Good location for our journey Bed was too small lengthways
Nothing not to like - 1st impressions weren't great - the curtains looked old and the out buildings looked dated, but once inside it was excellent
- Richard (9/5): - Pauline The bed mattress was a little soft for my liking - it wasn't uncomfortable but would prefer firmer
- Chris (10/5): - Very friendly reception from Pauline, who seems to play all the roles at this hotel.
I enjoyed the eclectic decoration of the building. Much nicer than the bland chain hotels. A little noise from other guests.
- Hodgetts (10/5): -
- Richard (10/5): -

Pauline est une hôtesse particulièrement sympathique et arrangeante.
- cbc41cb65a1f709e6ddb3bb4381b4ceb (10/5): It was great from start to finish and so close to the stunning Crinan Canal - The comfort of the surroundings, beautiful decor and spotlessly clean . They kindly accommodated an early breakfast Nothing

- Deborah Anne (9/5): Smashing - Loved the decor lovely cottage feel to the place, my room was beautiful. Also loved the breakfast it was great! Staff were so friendly and helpful, couldnt do enough for me! Would definately stay again. Entrance/exit is really narrow and tricky to manouvre. Also it is directly on a roundabout which isnt great.
- Helen (8/5): - Friendly staff and great breakfast.
- Despoina (10/5): Restful and comfortable - Beautiful, peaceful, excellent location. The inside was warm and cozy and very beautifully decorated. I hope they never change it. From the beautiful warm wood colours to the pretty pastels in the breakfast room, it was all an incredible sight.

- Richard (10/5): -
- Sandra-Jane (7/5): A comfortable stay while away from home on business - Host was very friendly and chatty. Breakfast (full Scottish)was hot and freshly cooked to order with assorted fresh fruit also available It’s simply a personal preference but a slightly softer mattress would have been good.
- Tim (9/5): A fantastic place to stay and we are coming back in August next year as so central and nice . - Such a lovely friendly place-we have already booked for next year!! Pauline is amazing-she is so lovely and looked after us brilliantly. We liked everything
- Michelle (10/5): We loved how close it was to the ancient rock art in the area, and the view from our room was great! - We enjoyed our stay at the Corran. Pauline was so helpful in letting us check in late. And we really enjoyed her friendly and helpful attitude at breakfast. The breakfast was very good and a great way to fuel up for the day. The parking lot entry is right on the curve of a small round-a-bout and was hard to find in the dark. Took us a couple passes to figure out how to get into the parking lot. When we did, the entry is a very tight opening in a stone fence. Nothing they can do about that, but just to be aware for the next person.
- Helena (9/5): -
- Elisabeth (10/5): Was a short day, but late check-in was accommodated easily. Wonderful breakfast and beautiful property! Wish I could’ve - Parking. Big room with ensuite. Friendly staff! Hard to find the entrance at night.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and Pauline the host was friendly and approachable. There wasn't anything that I could find fault with.

- Christopher (10/5): Excellent B&B - Excellent B&B. The rooms were spotless. Pauline cooks an excellent breakfast and is a lovely host. Very down to earth and friendly.
- Alan (8/5): -
- Duncan (10/5): Great location, value for miney, , - Loved the setting, staff and breakfast! Nothing. It’s exactly as described.
- Beth (10/5): Beautiful spacious room and lovely helpful hostess - What a delightful accommodation this is! Pauline was very welcoming and helpful. My room was fantastic - huge, light bright and fresh with soft pastel decor, two armchairs, great view over the loch, every amenity and even a blanket as I can’t sleep under the heavy duvets of Europe/UK. A huge bathroom with a view from the loo even. Breakfast cooked to order was perfect and I enjoyed watching little birds feeding out on the deck while I ate. It was a short walk into town for a meal so I didn’t have to take my car out again. There is a big car park down the back of the house though at first I wasn’t sure where to park. Everything to like.
- Hugh (10/5): -
- Aliis (9/5): Pauline’s good energy - The hotel has a slightly old-fashioned design, but the view was beautiful and communication was very quick. What truly made this place special was the lovely hostess — she was incredibly friendly, and her breakfast was one of the best we had during our trip. Pauline’s energy is something truly unique! Not so comfortable mattress
- Edward (10/5): A marvellous B&B with an excellent host - Pauline (I think the host was called) greeted us warmly and was a lively lovely ecentric lady. She complimented me on my cycling gear which was nice. She showed my wife and I where to park our bikes overnight outside D locked to a fence.
The room was glorious overlooking the sea. Bed was comfy. Shower was deluxe. The house was very old and characterful.
I went to the local Indian restaurant (The Taj Mahal) and was a 5 minute walk into town. It is non licensed so you need to take in your own booze (a Morrisons or Tescos are nearby). You need to book as it's a very small restaurant. The food there was excellent.
The full Scottish breakfast at the B&B was delicious and plentiful. There were the other breakfast bits and bobs (cereals, orange juice etc) there.
The location was good for our cycle ride around the coast of the UK. We followed the Crimean to Ardrishaig Canal cycle path and the canal views were very beautiful. All was great.

- Weston (9/5): Lovely stay at The Corran, where everything was just perfect. - The Corran is located just outside of the main town of Lochgilphead and in very easy walking distance from the main street. It is located looking over the water. Our room was very spacious, extremely comfortable and spotless. We had a view of the sea beyond the gardens below our window, which was great. There was plenty of parking at the rear/side of the property. Pauline was extremely helpful and we could have had anything we wanted for breakfast. What I, in particular, loved was plenty of fresh fruit as I don't eat the full breakfast. There wasn't anything we didn't like, but the only thing I would mention is the entrance to the B&B is on a roundabout and care must be taken going in and out.
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Hall (8/5): Relaxed and quirky. - Excellent location to visit beautiful spots.
Colourful eclectic decor. Uncarpeted stairs were noisy. Bed was a bit soft.
- Kristi (7/5): Great! - Pauline was so kind and breakfast was wonderful each morning. The kitchen is in the center of the house and the breakfast/skillet smell was very strong. It permeated the house and our clothing.
- Peter (8/5): Great stop on cycling tour. - Great twin room with fabulous sea views. Excellent breakfast. Comfy bed. Secure bike storage
Good meal in local curry house... Taj Mahal. Tiny, so book. Nothing
- Roberts (5/5): Beautiful location loch side in Lochgilphead - Very good location. Very picturesque especially views from the breakfast room. The room was nice and clean The bed was very hard and the sheets were a bit rough. The host talks very loudly and kept making me jump.
- Vicky (10/5): Excellent stay… definitely recommend. Thank you Pauline, Heather and Bruce x - The owners and staff were so welcoming.. A lovely old house with great character and decor, especially Lola. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it… beautiful grounds, view over the loch, clean and so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Definitely recommend. N/A
