• Pierre (5/5): Lungt ställe. - Lung by, frukost café utanför, bra internet. Huset stank av kloak, även badrummet. Rummet var mindre drabbat då fönstret stått öppet. Vid sökning på Booking, så filtrerar jag på parkering, boendet peka på två upptagna platser och hänvisa till en kommunal parkering som var gratis.

• Ana (8/5): - The room was pleasant and clean, with a minimalist and modern style. It was great that everyone had their own bed, which made the stay more comfortable. The hallways had an unpleasant smell despite open windows, and there was also a sewage-like odor coming from the bathroom during the night. Fortunately, the room itself did not smell.

• Andrew (8/5): I got what I paid for. - What breakfast? There is no catering but with a number of good bars just outside, not an issue. It's a budget hotel with technology used to keep running costs to a minimum. If you are going to rely on technology, make sure it works. I refer to the defective scanner in the check in machine. It was siesta but staff were extremely helpfull and in mobile 'phone contact the whole time. The issue was resolved by Whatsapping an image of my identity card. My back did not like the soft bed.

Wir dachten, wir würden uns nur etwas Zweckmäßiges für die Durchreise mieten, und waren überrascht über dieses Dörfchen mit seinem schönen Strand und der angenehmen sozialen Abendatmosphäre inmitten der doch eher industriell geprägten Umgebung.

• Mick (9/5): Nice spot close to a nice walk. - The hotel was in a nice location just a few meters from the riverside walk where we did some birding and was also close enough to several other places we wanted to visit to make it an easy few days. We visited a few local bars and had some nice food and a few beers. Slight smell of drains in public areas but not in the rooms thankfully.

• Monika (10/5): - Dies ist ein tolles 1-Sterne-Hotel. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Die Betten waren bequem (hart), das Hotel ist direkt am kleinen Marktplatz mit einigen Lokalen. Vor der Anreise haben wir eine Nachricht vom Hotel bekommen wann die Rezeption besetzt ist. Es gibt kein Frühstück aber das ist auch völlig in Ordnung. Kostenfreie Parkplätze vor dem Haus, aber manchmal muss man ein bisschen warten bis etwas frei wird. 0

Nous avons eu un très bon séjour grâce a leur dévouement, professionnalisme, gentillesse et bonté. Autre plus de l'hotel, il est très bien situé face a la place publique très animé l'été. C'est un peu difficile de se garer, mais c'est pas mal comme partout ailleurs ou j'ai été en Espagne donc ...

• Karin (10/5): Clean, good value for money and excellent communication - The property is located in a small but cute village near a free public parking which is very convenient and easy to reach. The communication by the staff was excellent. We got in touch via Whatsapp, they replied very quickly and were willing and helpful. We got clear info on self check in, about the location and public parking and also good tips for getting to Gibraltar. The room itself was a good size, had a fridge and a microwave, the bathroom was spacious and everything was clean. There was a vending machine on the ground floor which might be useful. The room was a bit too dark due to its location on the ground floor.

• Jo (8/5): Convenient for ferry. - Not far from Algeciras port so if you have a late ferry its easy to get to and the lady on reception was very good on the communication. Able to park motorbikes right outside front door.
• Kate (6/5): Pleasant - Staff was friendly, overall room was clean, free wi-fi and parking in front of the hotel. Stayed for one night as day trip to Gibraltar. Washroom had a smell of sewage. There is a bar across the street and unfortunately, the rooms are not at all soundproof, there was little rest through the night.
• Trevor (9/5): Superb - Staff were great. Location is good, cafe and restaurants along the street. Pathway along river to the Beach is 1 block away. 20 minute walk to bus for Granada or Algeciras. This is a budget hotel that exceeded my expectations. Bathroom is small, but functional and clean.
• Judith (10/5): Great location; comfortable stay in clean, spacious room; attentive staff - Good location in the center of town and a short drive to the border with Gibraltar. Plenty of free public parking nearby. Eva from the hostal was super helpful and ended up staying a bit late just so she could personally check us in rather than have us go through a self-check-in procedure. She also got us a free upgrade to a better room and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. The room itself was spacious and clean and very comfortable. Nothing - everything was great!
• Simon (8/5): Great small hotel, in a lovely place. - I have stayed here a couple of times before on the way to the ferry for Morocco. It is a basic no frills hotel, clean, good value, with easy parking outside. Lots of bars and restaurants close. Time to take down all the Covid signs, I don’t like being reminded.
• Stuart (10/5): Cycle friendly hotel with very welcoming staff - Perfect little stop on a cycle tour of Andalusia in this very pleasant town. Clean and comfortable, and with staff who were super friendly and gave incredible hospitality.
• Doug (10/5): Short stay heading to Morocco - Was a good place to stay if you are using the ferry’s to Morocco . It was quiet and easy to find . The young lady on the counter was more than helpful . Bikes can be parked out the front and was ok to be left . Would use again It was hard to find anywhere open ie bars and shops . The kebab shop was always open , few steps away from the hotel . They made me a vegetarian pizza 😎

• Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful Spanish hotel in the Heart of Palmones. Free parking across the road. The staff are so happy to help and very lovely to deal with. Rooms immaculate and clean . Palmones offers lovely restaurants especially the fish restaurant on the beach with a great view of Gibraltar. Love the area and hotel, we will be back!
