• LEILA (10/5): Accueil incroyable ! - Nous avons aimé l emplacement de l hôtel proche de tout, la propriété et la literie mais surtout la gentillesse des gérants. Il s’agit d une hôtel familial, ils ont été adorables avant nous et très serviables. Le gérant nous a attendu très tard pour faire le check in et surtout comme c était férié les taxis étaient chers et peu fréquents ils nous ont aide à trouver un véhicule à un prix abordable. Le gérant nous a même aidé à régler un problème avec un commerçant et surtout ils nous ont accueilli avec une grande hospitalité.

• Emily (10/5): Incredible hotel, 10/10 - By far the most welcoming hotel I have ever visited. Brilliant hotel is the perfect name as our stay was genuinely perfection. This hotel made me fall in love with Sapa and the family were the kindest people, and cared for us extremely well. The home cooked food was delicious, and very fairly priced. The amenities were perfect and the rooms were very clean. Our laundry was also done for us. It is rare to get a smart TV for this price, and we were very happy to have Netflix after 3 months of travelling! The owners were extremely sociable and did not let the language barrier affect us having conversations with tea in the evenings. The location is also excellent, close to a Mật Pet Farm, Moana Sapa & a close walk into town and the train station (I would highly recommend visiting Fansipan from Sunworld) We loved this hotel so much we extended 5 times, and I am sure to do the same again next year when I come back to Sapa. Thank you❤️ I enjoyed everything about my stay!

• Paula (1/5): Would not recommend - . I would not recommend staying at Sapa Brilliant Hotel. The room looked nice online but there is no separation between toilet and shower in the bathroom, there is no heating and it’s not possible to open a window. There is only one “window” which goes out to the corridor. Therefore you can hear all the noise from the corridor, see people switching on the light and you can even see a bit through the window, so that was really not the privacy I expect in a hotel room. Especially travelling alone as a women it felt quite scary to me. Because of the no window/ no heating situation the room smelled a bit moldy. There was no service providing toilet paper or fresh towels, which I certainly do not need, but have experienced in every other hotel in Vietnam in this price range. Also I my encounters with the owners were quite uncomfortable. They only take cash, which I did not know beforehand, and when I arrived late I said I would go to the atm the next day after my early morning trekking tour (I stayed several nights). They would come and ask me several times after and were really pushy and uncomfortable whilst doing so. The owner would even urge me to go on his motorcycle to the atm with him as he wanted the money right at that moment. This happened when I was just leaving to actually get the money the afternoon right after my trekking tour. Also I found the woman to be quite rude. She told me breakfast was included and then charged me for it later. After four weeks of travelling in Vietnam this was the first bad, uncomfortable encounter I had with hosts, so please stay somewhere else.
• Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable bed and a great shower. Hot water and water pressure were excellent. A bit of incorrect info on Booking but was sorted out with the lovely owner. It's about a 10 minute walk to the centre and you are at the right end of the town should you want to walk to Cat Cat Village.

• Eleida (9/5): Very homey! - Very clean, good view, very accommodating and attentive owners and management, very quiet location at night, housekeeping is consistent, the sheets and towels are very clean It’s an uphill hike to the town center (around 5 mins). My only complaint is that the shower area and the toilet have no divider. But the constant housekeeping would make up for it.

Worth for money. Location was perfect to reach most of attractions (walking distance) No lift. And the air conditioner sometimes malfunctioned. But overall this place is good.

Besides that you can’t open the window so there is constant smell of humidity once you shower. Also the toilet has the shower on top of the toilet so is pretty much a mess all of the bathroom. There’s a restaurant under so everything always smells like food

The whole hotel is very clean - both private and public area. Staff is very nice and helpful. The food served is really good - here we had the best Pho (both chicken and beef one) in Vietnam so far :) Hotel is quite close to the city center, but still in quiet part of the town. If we go back to Sapa - we would go back to Brilliant Hotel.

• Laura (10/5): Clean, helpful, closer to trekking start, less touristic - Very clean, comfortable room with daylight. Super comfortable beds. Everything very new. Nice soft bed lining, we could really rest after the trekking. They changed the towels every day but you can also say if you don't need it. Big closet with enough clothes hanging possibilities. Good wifi. Hot water works perfect with good pressure. Helpful owner without being too insisting. He found us a good + affordable taxi driver to go to Fansipan and pick us up later (cheaper than Grab), arranged a laundry service that could bring our cleaned shoes (after a muddy trekking) at 7am next morning at the hotel etc. AC wasn't always working but Sapa is in a cold region, so not really need. The location is a bit "far" (10-15min walking, 5 by taxi) from the city center but closer to the start point of many trekking trails, so up to you. Good, less touristic places for eating in that area than in the city center. The hotel has a restaurant as well. We could leave the luggage in the morning and come back later for the check-in. For us it wasn't a problem, but the hotel has no lift to the 3rd floor. Stairs are wide enough though. The room had a window to the outside, but it's not possible to open it, so you can't really ventilate the room and it was a bit humid. For our 2 night stay was OK. And you can use the AC in dehumidifier mode. We had no key of the main door, so we had to call the owner to open it for us when we arrived late at midnight. But he was totally friendly and said smiling it's no problem and we can all anytime. The room is not very well isolated (every hotel in sapa has this issue) so you can hear the noises in the corridor, but since it's a small hotel and not a hostel there weren't many guests coming in and out and it didn't bother us.
• Le (10/5): Exceptional - We've stayed 5 nights at this comfy place which was like to staying at a friend's place. Ms.Ha and their Parents were such lovely. Helped us to organise some transportation, trip to the Mountain Villages (Ms.Van was great),helped with laundry. We would definitely recommend. Room was clean and big enough. Walk to the city 10 minutes. Walk to cat cat village 5km and to the other villages through the rice fields which is amazing 10km. We would stay here again. Thank you 😊

• Minsean (9/5): Superb - The view was fantastic. View.location.the room is spacious! The lobby is local restaurant the family owned. Nice family. Husband has motor bike and taxi service. The air conditioning is not working but ii isn’t that hot.if anyone need it I believe the family will help you.
• Lisa (8/5): Modern clean and comfortable - The hotel room was newly done so modern, clean and well equipped with tv, hairdryer and kettle. The family live on the first 2 floors we were pn the top, 5th floor. The rooms with view look amazing but there's a terrace on the 5th floor you can get a view from. They could have tables and chairs to make more of that space as it's a hpod selling point. Hotel at end of town, quieter than the manic centre but short stroll away. Shops, bars and eateries nearby. We stayed an extra night so all good. Just got info re laundry and scooter hire nothing else. And did have to ask for bins to be cleared after 3 nights. It was no problem but elsewhere just did it without asking. No replacement of water. Given 8 instead of 10 as we'd just stayed in a womderful hotel at cat ba for less money with breakfast so comparing to that. Did get asked to do a review! I would have anyway.

• Allen (10/5): Brilliant. Would have liked to stay even longer. - Our room was very spacious, lovely and clean, great bathroom (with views). The most memorable though has to be the location and the view! Hands down. Huge floor to ceiling sliding doors with an unimpeded view of Mount Fansipan. On a clear day you look across the rice paddies, valley and can see the Buddhas and Pagoda atop the mountain. See picture of the view. A delightful family run Sapa Brilliant Hotel and we were offered an electric blanket - declined as the bedding and heater was sufficient.

• Marie (3/5): Unwelcoming and average - Good location, 10 minute walk to centre and cat cat village I stayed here for one night, the host was unwelcoming. When I arrived I had to wait 5 minutes while she was taking a call before she greeted me and then she didn’t have the details of my reservation from booking.com even though I had a confirmation email. The husband later knocked on my door asking for payment when I was in my room for 10 minutes. She rushed me out at check out and the bedding wasn’t fresh/ the bed was made but clearly dusty from being empty for a few nights. A bit disappointing compared to the reviews I’d seen.
• Kavya (9/5): Good. We arrived pretty late in night, but the property owner opened up on call. - Hotel location is walkable from Sapa station. Lots of vegetarian food options nearby. Rooms are ok. One of the windows did not have a curtain, so light was streaming in. While lights went out fairly on time, it would be good to have a curtain installed.

• Jonna (9/5): Superb - We booked a large room with a fantastic view. In bad weather, you can't see anything, but on a sunny day, there is a very nice light in the room with the sun. The beds are very comfortable and the shower was great. The staff was realy nice and serve also food. The WiFi and the heater wasn't strong enough.

The good-natured family of the owners maintains cleanliness and order in the hotel. Everything in the room is working properly and, especially, the air conditioner, which works as a heater — it was very useful to us on cold nights.

• Edwinckk (10/5): A little gem in Sapa - I loved how clean, spacious and well maintained the rooms where! Although this is a family-run establishment, the rooms were better maintained in standards than some of the hotels I have stayed in. I was supposed to pay VND300,000 for my room but I fell short of cash by VND10,000 and they were generous enough to accept my payment of VND290,000 as payment in full! No credit cards accepted. I plan to come back here to stay because it is super good value for money! I noted there are no lifts and only flights of stairs so it may be a bit hard for elderlies with creaking bones to manage accessibility, or if you have terribly large amount of luggage. It isn't too far from Sapa centre but it is an uphill walk, manageable at a slow pace.
