- CHARLES (7/5): We were charged extra for our sheets and towels, which was unexpected and the kitchen was quite basic with a lack of ser - The location the views and the garden.. It was very difficult to find because the property is not called Villa Orta - as it was advertised.. we searched for nearly an hour and even local people didn’t know the property by this name.. it’s actually called Villa Stresa and the access is quite hidden on a bend with an extremely steep driveway.. the location was convenient for Orta and we particularly like the garden with the views across the lake..

- Debbie (8/5): Very good - Location was a little out, so had to drive but beautiful view of the lake More condiments left in kitchen - basics - no tea towels, iron etc
- Bryan (9/5): Expensive, but a quality apartment with the biggest private terrace of the property. - Apartment 1A was very good, extremely well equiped (apart from bed linen and towels), View from the terrace was heavenly. We went out of season hence it was very quiet. Others have moaned about the steep descent but to us (pensioners) there was not problem; parking was perfect at the top of the hill. We were there in early November, the heating was excellent! I do not understand why they charged axtra for bed linen and towels. The price was expensive enough for the partment and to add €15 per person was extremely petty. But you did get one roll of toilet paper!!
Had difficulty registering because their registration form would not accept my PDFs, would have been nice for somebody to meet us.

- Rachel (10/5): A great place! - Lovely house. Great gardens. Beautiful location. Really well equipped. Nothing!
- Olivier (8/5): Superb but do not rent unit 1B - Everything is great except… Biggest issue is that unit 1B is the only one without any privacy outside. People walk by the front patio door to access their units and the owners decided to make that space the large drink and dinner for groups. People can BBQ about 3m from the room to the point that the choice is either to lock yourself in or leave the room. People
Also drive their car or motorcycle right by the room to load and offload their vehicles.
Note that there is a busy road about 15m behind the house
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francis (8/5): Very good - Location superb Ramp from car park to property slippery when wet, needs regular pressure washing
- Tatjana (10/5): Beautiful place! - The location is a 20-minute walk from the village, quiet and by the lake, there is also a private swimming spot. The bed was very comfortable, the furnishings compact and well-thought-out, the view of the lake and the mountains from the room. We liked the possiblity to stay further from the village in piece and quiet, but if you go there without a car as we did, then be prepared to walk a lot (which we do like). It was a little bit difficult to find the place since there was no address written anywhere, but with the help of google maps we found it.
- Stanislav (9/5): Superb -
- Jacques (9/5): Great ! - The flat is very well located only few meters away from the lake where you can make a quick dive. The place is very quiet and easily accessible by car. Bed sheets should directly be included in the price rather than request them aside and pay separately, this would simplify everything.
It would be very much appreciated to have a contact on site to solve things quicker than emailing.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Unfortunately, bit of a dangerous walk along the road to get to the Village, but what a village. Probably the loveliest I have ever visited in Italy. Highly recommeded
- Robert (5/5): Beautiful spot but I can't recommend it as too many issues. - Beautiful location, renovated apartment able to swim at lakefront. Dangerous to exit from property onto main road, needs a mirror to see oncoming traffic. The shower did not drain very well and could flood the bathroom unless you limited the shower flow. There was a floor fitting for closing the shutters onto the verandah. It was sharp and was elevated in the middle of the step. It is a safety issue and someone will cut their foot on it. There was a dishwasher but no tablets supplied for it. Without tablets it is useless. Sheets and towels were not routinely supplied. it was not mentioned in the property description and is the first time I have come across this after renting 20 different apartments in Europe over the last 2 years. The wrong code was given for check in. On trying to contact managing agent had to leave message and later email to get a response. waited 1 hour plus. When informed of correct code no apology was given. When pointed out that it was incorrect code told "no it wasn't, but now it works". Not good enough!!!!!
- Cora_ini (10/5): Private access to lake and swimming all day - Best place I have ever stayed in my life. The location is absolutely amazing! Literally a few steps from the lake with private access. Even though the weather didn't help us at all it was worth it. The bathroom is elegant and spacious (very rare when it comes to Italy). From the pictures we were expecting a large kitchen but it was very tiny. Also to have a good wifi on our room we had to keep our door open, luckily we were alone in the building. But don't let it disappoint you if you're looking for relaxing holidays. You won't regret!!
- Baharan (8/5): Most beautiful private lake garden - The private garden has direct access to the lake. The house was very clean and comfortable. We had the smallest room, which was oke because we sat outside most of the time. The 200 m to the center is not very walk/pedestrian friendly because of the traffic especially at night you must go by car.
- Hanna (8/5): Very good - Beautiful apt on a beautiful lake. Excellent location, and the apartment has everything you need. Internet was not working well. Often got disconnected. Also they had additional charges for towels and linens. We came from the USA, so we did not pack linens for this trip.
