• Katy (10/5): - Ich hatte Zimmer Nummer 4 im Erdgeschoss und konnte quasi direkt vom Bett in den Pool springen. Die Menschen hier sind so unfassbar lieb. Das Hotel hat nur 8 (?) Zimmer. Alles ist sehr ruhig. Der Pool atemberaubend, das Essen exzellent. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Es liegt dafür weit oben auf dem Berg. Ohne Tuk Tuk wird man hier nichts. Es gab kein heißes Wasser. Zum Duschen ok, aber zum Haare waschen.....aaaaaahhhhhhh 🤣

• ALEXA (8/5): - Personnel très gentil et serviable. Bel emplacement avec une très belle vue sur la mer. Grande piscine, l’endroit est très calme. Un peu éloigné de San Juan, vous devez prendre un tutuk pour vous y rendre (Service payant). La deco des chambres est un peu ancienne. Le ménage reste sommaire. Il y a des trous dans les murs et les bestioles peuvent donc si faufiler, vous pouvez donc trouver de grosses araignées, des lézards et autres dans votre chambre.

• Lynn (9/5): Peaceful, staff were exceptional. 10 minutes by moped to the hustle and bustle - We loved our stay here. The view is spectacular and the setting is unreal. It feels extremely luxurious and an absolute bargain! The staff are soooo friendly, kind and helpful. It’s super clean! Rooms are very comfy and spacious. Restaurant is good. Would definitely return. It’s 10 minutes by moped from San Juan strip which is perfect as you really get a luxury holiday feel but can me down in the thick of it if you want. Music needed round the pool!

We especially loved the café and the pool—both were perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The staff were incredibly accommodating and honest. A special mention to Ate Mayet, who found our lost wallet and returned it without hesitation—her integrity truly stood out. We hope the management recognizes her exemplary service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back! The air-conditioning was leaking when we arrived but was fixed when we told the staff about it.

• Kaitlyn (10/5): Beautiful, quiet place to stay up on the hillside. - Had a wonderful stay at La Candura - it was just what I was looking for. Out of the hustle and bustle of town, yet nearby, and with incredible views over the island. The pool is humongous and a great place to relax. The pizzas at the restaurant are super tasty. The staff was all friendly, especially Rose at the front desk who always greeted me by name and was so welcoming and accommodating. I rented a scooter from the hotel which made it easy to explore the island. The WiFi was a very up and down, but that’s what I was expecting so it wasn’t a problem!

• Tal (9/5): Amazing view and pool, great stay - The most perfect pool !! Comfortable beds, and spacious rooms. Small boutique hotel, perfect for couples It’s a bit remote from center so you most definitely need a motorbike to get around, but that wasn’t a problem for us

• Karrie (8/5): It was a good stay. - Lovely location in the hills. A jeepney does pass the property on occasion but it’s much easier to have a car/bike. A van to or from the port arranged by the property is 800pesos. There are some improvements that could be made to better the property - but the food was good and the views superb.
• Wilvin (8/5): Husle-less place away from the City chaos. - The view covers 180 degrees of the neighboring islands of Siquijor. The staff welcomes us very well. The surrounding creates a peaceful scene and offers out of city hustle. The pool is also clean. I wish they have a warm shower.

Even they didnt call etrike for us. Wifi is the worst!! Didnt work at all. This was annoying. We couldt work, search nothing. Saturday, nobody at kitchen, could have even breakfast.
• Lorianna (7/5): Beautiful view, awesome staff - It was beautiful and had a magnificent view. The staff were extremely accommodating, helpful and absolutely amazing! For a short term stay of a couple nights I highly recommend. Downside, had too many bugs/spiders in room and ants everywhere, had a spider about 5 inches across in my room, and I stayed at many other places throughout Asia and didn't have this much of an issue. When the generator is running, it's not only noisy but the gas exhaust fumes are bad. What looks like a jacuzzi in the pic is not. It has jets but water does not heat up which was disappointing because this is the reason why I chose this hotel. This place is quite a bit away from the town, which if your staying awhile becomes a real bummer. The motorbikes you can rent from them are so uncomfortable to ride on. I rented many on my 5 week tour of Asia and these were the most uncomfortable to ride on. It hurt my back because the seat slants towards the handlebars. It would be nice to have more kitchen items in the room. Perhaps a couple plates and silverware.

• Demian (8/5): Despite these points for improvement, my stay at La Candura was very positive, especially due to its exceptional locatio - My stay at La Candura hotel in Siquijor was a genuinely pleasant and memorable experience. Perched high up, the property offers a breathtaking view of the sea, allowing guests to enjoy a stunning landscape while relaxing in the pool. The atmosphere is particularly peaceful, thanks to the limited number of rooms, ensuring a quiet and uncrowded environment. The staff at La Candura stand out for their kindness and efficiency, greatly contributing to the quality of the stay. The option to rent a scooter directly at the reception is a significant plus, offering flexibility and ease to explore the beautiful island of Siquijor. The room was spacious and comfortable, with quality bedding that guarantees optimal rest. Amenities such as instant coffee and bottled water were appreciated. However, it should be noted that the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was lacking. • Cleanliness issues in the room and bathroom, particularly the presence of dead insects. • Ant invasion in the dressing area and from the bathroom to the room. • Need for a longer shower curtain to prevent bathroom flooding, a problem seemingly common in the area. • General maintenance of the bathroom could be improved to ensure perfect hygiene.

• Jonn (6/5): The hotel is nice but overpriced for the value. - The hotel grounds had a nice pool, restaurant and view of the island perched up high on the hill. The staff was very nice and attentive. The room did not have a safety deposit box, no hot water, only cold water showers and the room had a kitchen counter with sink but no refrigerator.

There were lots of guys around the property/ in the oobby that didn’t wear a uniform of any form- would be nice to know who works there and who doesn’t. Lizards in the room living the A/C unit- mentioned it on check out and the receptionist sent the maintenance man up there to deal with it before the next guests!

• John (1/5): Bad - Nothing, I refused to stay and they kept my money. No refund as of now? When I arrived in my room there were dead cockroaches on the floor. I tried 3 different internet connections and all of them were so weak that I couldn't maintain a connection. The television did not work because it also had no internet connection. I immediately left the property and they have not returned any of my money for a 5 night stay. NEVER AGAIN
• Konrad (8/5): Great stay with a view for island hoppers - We booked 3 rooms for our large family. Stayed 3 nights. The view from the infinity pool and the balcony is a major bonus. The palce is new. Beds are quite comfortable. The shower place is separated by a curtain. We were a bit stunned to find out onsite that there was no hot water at this facility. It was hot so we managed but being with small kids one would like to take a hot shower at a lovely villa like this. The rooms are spacious. Cleaning on demand. The staff is very polite and welcoming. They are always smiling and ready to help out so this made our stay a fantastic experience. Very reasonable prices at the restaurant and bar. You’ll need a bike as the beach area is a 20min drive. No hot water. Modest but ok breakfast.

• Klaas (10/5): Above expectations, we had a great stay made better by the staff. - Staff was really great, they were always there for us and quite friendly. The place is really modern and exceptionally maintained. The pool and land around it was really well kept and the beds were actually good. Restaurant service was more than decent. Through the use of Wifi extenders we had internet everywhere around the complex too, which worked well enough for streaming movies. The hotel offers great views, perfect for social media. We were provided with port pick-up and we could rent an almost new motorbike on site. Shower was luke warm at best
• Kevin (8/5): Could be a great place to relax and unwind but there are a few things that spoil it. - The food was very good and so it should be as you would tend to use the restaurant often as there is no other in the vicinity. The bar was also good with a reasonable variety of spirits on offer and nice cocktails. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is serene and peaceful (until the non resident visitors arrive in large numbers on weekends😞) which somewhat spoils the whole point of having chosen a tranquil place. Unfortunately it doesn't seem that the policy of the hotel is to have the rooms cleaned on a daily basis and you need to ask to have the room cleaned. It should be clearly stated that the breakfast inclusion does not consist of the various breakfasts offered. The pool is not very clean and shows signs of lack of regular cleaning. There is no phone in the room to ask for room service or any other queries.

• Tobias (9/5): Beautiful place - Beautiful place, the pool is amazing, the restaurant is good, the room is great and spacy, the view is stunning.. Staff is rally friendly. They even took us to the local festival for dinner. San Juan town is just 5min away by motorbike. The breakfast is basic, just eggs with meat and rice. The restaurant played loud music early in the morning which woke us up.
