Guest Reviews
- philip (1/5): Disappointing is being polite. - The bed was clean The room remained illuminated during the night with light through door top window and external flood lights on and off. 1 x bright light in the room. Noisy other guest grunting continuously, assume he suffered from touretts. Mens bathroom facility simply discusting, broken fittings run down no sign of maintenance. The verbage implied that there was an airport shuttle. There's no such thing other than a taxi at 48$. For many years, I've travelled the world and stayed in budget accommodation. This one takes the prize for the worst value for money, l wouldn't recommend it if it was half the price. Small single bed in a room that made you feel what it must be like in a prison cell.
- Malcolm (1/5): Stay clear of Grand Central Hotel Proserpine. The owner is irrational - Owner refused to let me on to the property when I arrived 20 minutes late after driving for 14 hours. In trying to resolve the situation by phone he became agitated a said he refused to deal with me. He did suggest I approach Metropole Hotel nearby where I was warmly received even without a reservation.
- Vamshi (1/5): -
- Formicola (8/5): - Easy to access and quiet
- Heather (1/5): Awful - Nothing There was nobody there to book us in. After finally calling “the manager “ we got a key. He wasn’t happy. The facilities weren’t good. Not being used to staying in hotels we were quite shocked to see what you get for $150.

- Dennis (4/5): Disappointing - The beds were good but the toilet was a long walk Was told after I arrived there was no Wifi and later told they had Wifi in the bar only
Then I was given a wrong Password
Bar seemed closed more than open
Hard to contact anyone when closed
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Sherrilee (3/5): I would not recommend staying if you have luggage to take up the stairs as it’s very dangerous - Room was clean and bed comfortable The access to the room was via a very dangerous staircase on outside of building, this needs to be addressed as an accident is likely to happen as getting up steep narrow stairs with luggage was not a good experience at all
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -

- David (8/5): - We had a pleasant night staying at the Grand Central Hotel but there was 2 small issues.
1. No fault of the pub but take ear muffs for a good night sleep. For a small town Proserpines main street is very busy at night.
2. Some advice for the Pub Manager please ad add curtians or block out the small glass panel above the doors of the rooms to block out the hall lights when they come on.
Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and food was lovely. Please g
- Anna (6/5): - Stairs were a bit challenging. Ok to ha e shared bathroom facilities but only because there seemed to be few or no other guests. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
- Christian (8/5): It was a pleasant stay - It was affordable and room is clean juat dont expect that much as the walk are thin and you can hear the other room talking Some facilities are quite old but the rooms is clean and comfortable you will get what you pay for
- Vera (1/5): Bad -
- Gail (7/5): Great value - It was clean and comfortable and close to the bus stop for the airport It was a little bit noisy with trucks passing during the afternoon but not a problem at night
- Fernanda (7/5): Good -
- Christian (8/5): Very good - It was a great time The bed was so good
- Tony (10/5): Very comfortable night's accommodation - Very friendly place. Comfortable room and bed. Good aircon. Pub meal was nice. Good showers. Will stay again. Good value Everything was good
- Brent (8/5): Very good -
- Hjb356 (2/5): Very poor -
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Excellent food
- Geoff (4/5): Disappointing -
- Alexia (8/5): Pleasant stay in quiet little town - Very kind owner who contacted me personally by phone to clarify how to enter the building (as I was arriving on a holiday and he was not in). I haven't seen the full hostel due to this, but upstairs is very basic but clean and pleasant to stay for just a night or two if you want to explore the area. I had shared bathrooms and there was only a single toilet and shower, but as it is a small hotel, this shouldn't be an issue. The layout of the first floor (one level up, second floor in American?) is a bit odd. My room did not have any windows as it was surrounded by two hallways... Not an issue for me but might be a bit hard for a claustrophobic person.
- David (7/5): Good -
- Mario (5/5): Passable - Stairs to the room very bad hand rails
- Azzedine (8/5): Very good - The staff are very Nice Nothing
- Lyn (7/5): Good -
- Felix (10/5): The stay was good though was short. - It’s was Clean Rooms and beddings. Easy to locate good location.
- Kellee (1/5): Bad -
- Sofia (5/5): Passable - Too expensive for a place like this. Our room smelled pretty bad. Staff wasn’t the friendliest at the beggining, but did get better towards the end. Very far from Airlie beach, taxi costs a lot, and buses only go couple times a day (last one at 6pm).
- Adellemaree (1/5): Bad -
