Guest Reviews
- Sathyajith (10/5): One of the best stays in my life - We loved everything. We were simply amazed by our wonderful host and I don't think that someone could do even better than him. He took very good care of us, I felt like he was part of our family. 02 of us were not feeling well and the host went out of his way to help us, he even provided us a blanket and a pillow for us to take to the hospital with no hesitation. A Seven star 🌟 Service it was.
The breakfast was amazing. He always comes with superb Sri Lankan Breakfast not only we being Sri Lankans but even the foreigners loved it. He always enjoying serving different kind of desserts end of the meal. If you are going to stay there please don't judge by the cover. Once you have checked in, then starts the secret surprises of the T Bungalow comes along. The owner is a very well disciplined person and a very loveable humble ❤️ 💙 ♥️ Gentleman.
We will definitely come back. Sad to leave 😢
- YI-TING (10/5): - The room was comfy. Even though Nuwara Eliya was cold and raining, I got 2 blankets to use.
While I arrived, they provided welcoming hot tea. And the breakfast the next day was really good with various options. And the host even waited with me for the bus going to the train station.
The location is between the post office and the lake Gregory, which were within walking distance for 30 mins to each of them.
It was a good stop in the town.
- Anna (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay eventhough it was raining all the time. I had cosy room, warm blankets and big and delicious breakfast - sri lankan style, but I also got toast with jam and some jogurt.
Host were very helpful and smiling everytime. They gave me some tips what to do in Nuwara Eliya, they also helped me with the train to my next destination.
Location was a bit further from the center but still in walkable distance. Glocery store cca 500m. Bus stop was right infront of the house and when you just cross the road there is very lovely teashop where you can have tea and also buy some for resonable price.
Thank you for amazing stay:))
- Tim (9/5): Superb -
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional - This was probably the best breakfast I’ve had in Sri Lanka! Mr. Romesh and his wife Vasanti were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived with a hot cup of tea. In the morning, they prepared an absolute feast—fresh, delicious, and made with such care.
The room itself is super comfy but doesn’t have a view, in case that's important to you. But if you're planning to be out and about during the day, you don’t miss out on anything because you see everything anyway. Mr. Romesh also gives great suggestions on where to go and what to do based on how much time and energy you have.
The bed and cushions were really comfortable, and I had a very pleasant night's sleep. During my journey, I ended up getting quite sick, and they went above and beyond to take care of me, even making me some tonics to help me feel better. Their kindness and genuine care made such a difference
- Corinna (9/5): Superb - Kind host, who likes to overfeed all his guests with excellent breakfast! Even prepared a lunch box for me. :) Low water pressure, cold weather that creeps in - but it's good value for the price.
- Rhiannon (10/5): Exceptional - The room is small but has everything you need and is perfectly clean. The shower is the best I had in 3 weeks in Sri Lanka, great water pressure and it got really hot! The WiFi was great too, strong enough to stream and download videos. The breakfasts were absolutely incredible! I was given a completely different breakfast every morning of my stay and each time it was absolutely delicious, some of the best food I ate in Sri Lanka. Finally the staff are so lovely, I will remember their kindness and hospitality for a long time ❤️ As it's on the main road into town it is quite noisy but manageable with earplugs.
- Barataraj (10/5): Good place to stay - The host was excellent. Was helpful throughout the stay and prepared a good breakfast.
- Amila (9/5): Superb -
- Navroz (1/5): Dont stay here even if it is free. - lady officiating for the owner was polite. Bad location, far from town, and no shops or restaurants for kilometers both ways. Very bad cottage, does not qualify as a hotel. Don't stay here even if it is free of cost. We couldn't sleep due to continuous disturbance from rats on the loft above us, including once when the plastic sheet in a square cutout appeared to be falling down.
The only reason I continue with Booking.com after this traumatic experience is that one other hotel booked from booking.com was lovely. We shifted at dawn to another hotel.
- Polina (9/5): Superb - Very warmhearted and sociable host gave us plenty of helpful advises on our trip, treated us to a home made pastry
There is an indoor dining area where one can always make tea and cook something simple
This place has a good value for money Windows opens on to the small parking place and noisy street
Bathroom was very small and humid. The place lacks shelves, wardrobe or some space to keep clothes and personal things
