• ZAINAB (10/5): - The place is very peaceful the serenity is Amazing. I was surprised that my room had a tiny river water flowing inside it WOW. The staff are super polite & helpful, the Breakfast was Free and was traditional Omani food with soo much varieties. The room was super clean and smells nice . And was well decorated with Clay jars and Omani heritage items. The bed was five stars hotel standard super comfy and clean. They have live Animals like Ghazals and other , the place has a reading cafe with beautiful panoramic view over the mountains. The main gate closes at 11 PM

Možnost večerního posezení na střeše nad pokojem, Café otevřené dlouho do noci, osvětlená stezka k vádí, moc příjemné místo. Dostupné z Muscatu a zároveň odtud během hodiny Nakhal.
• Sandra (10/5): - Our favourite stay in Oman! About 30-45 min drive from Muscat we found this hidden gem in the lovely village of Fanja. It has an amazing view over the Wadi where you can watch the beautiful sunset from the balcony. The owner is very friendly and we enjoyed talking to him about the history of this place which is owned by his family. It's very quiet and feels like staying on a farm surrounded by pure nature. It feels like very authentic Omani housing which we enjoyed a lot. The food was also exceptional. There is breakfast and dinner available which we highly recommend. I have a feeling that this place is going to become more popular in the next few years because of its very unique setting that offers its guests to calm down and just enjoy the quietness after exploring the busy city of Muscat.

The oryx, emu, peacocks, birds & squirrels will delight young children. Being asked for our credit card as soon as we arrived.

• Rebecca (7/5): Up and coming wadi retreat - Right on a wadi, peaceful location. Nice food and bevs from the cafe. Beds were hard, and the falaj room literally had an open water feature running through the room, which while unique, also gave us places we could fall into if we weren't careful, and it let mosquitos into the room.

• Henrik (8/5): Heritage House with small zoo! - Die Hotelzimmer sind besonders, weil sie direkt neben den Tieren (Antilopen) sind bzw. ein kleiner plätschernder Wasserfluss durch die Zimmer geht. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und wirklich etwas besonderes. Ein Zimmer hatte schlechten Geruch im Bad. Das Personal ist teilweise überfordert und dadurch etwas unfreundlich. Aber das gilt nicht für alle. Es gibt auch sehr nette und hilfsbereite Personen.

• Katrin (7/5): Nicht mehr als ein Tag - Sehr ursprünglich und eher eine kleine Eventlokation mit Tauben, Ziegen und anderen Tieren. Kleines Museum. Uns war nicht klar, dass es eher wie eine Eventlokation ist die auch zum Treffpunkt für Tierliebhaber g facht ist. Die Lage ist OK, man kann im Ort und der Umgebung wenig unternehmen. Der Wadi ist nicht besonders schön und keine lohnenswerte Wanderung. Für Naturliebhaber ist das keine Empfehlung. Wir hatten zwei Tage gebucht sind aber nach einem wieder abgereist und sind ins Gebirge gefahren.
• TLM (9/5): - We enjoyed staying here for our final night in Oman. It was a convenient location, about half an hour from the airport. There were some unique features that we really loved - such as a mini falaj running through our room! A delicious Omani breakfast on the terrace overlooking the palms set us up for our journey home too. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of places to eat in the evening within a 20minute walk of the accommodation and a lovely local souq where you can buy local pottery too.
• Elizabeth (7/5): Modern and well thought out space, however lots of animals in a small space. - Nicely built and the exhibition is interesting. I am not sure the animals have enough space to roam properly, it made me feel upset for them.
• Franziska (10/5): - We had a very good stay at Fanja Heritage House! We booked very spontaneously but they had a room for us right away. The room was super comfy and nice, we even had a small Falaj (water canal) running through our room, which we really liked. The breakfast is delicious with great views and the staff is super friendly. Overall very beautiful and cute place.

• Imane (10/5): What a great Hidden Place 🌻 - We had a wonderful weekend at Fanja Heritage House! 🌿 Although it was still a little hot (as expected in the Middle East), what truly made our stay special was the warm welcome and the exceptional customer service. I went with my husband, and we both loved it. When we arrived at night, one of the team members (I forgot his name!) kindly took us on a little walk around the property — he was amazing. The next morning, while we were enjoying breakfast, the manager personally checked in to make sure everything was going well. On our way back to Dubai, the owner himself came to greet us, asked about our stay, and even surprised us with a thoughtful gift — a house specialty drink made with dried fruits and coffee to enjoy on the road. Such a beautiful gesture! The place is spotless, calm, and so peaceful — you can hear only the birds 🐦 and the sounds of nature, which made it even more relaxing. The team genuinely cares about their guests, and you can feel how much pride they take in their business. We definitely plan to come back in the winter ❄️ Highly recommended! The WiFi network was a little bit slow!
• Mousmi (6/5): Look wise ok, prices don’t match expectations. - The property looks good build-wise. It’s good to visit in winters. They have ample of places to sit outdoors for chilling. They don’t have any restaurant. There is a cafe serving limited items but nothing for vegetarians. Breakfast that was included in the price is a set breakfast and not buffet, which is disappointing and also they need to have more variety for vegans and vegetarians.

• Dana (7/5): Nice place but rather as a stop on the way and not to spend the night let alone several - The kids loved the animals and the viewpoint and walkway was very fun. Breakfast was great for the short stay and the room with Falaj was unique Sooooooo many tourists roaming about everywhere, taking pictures of themselves. They also tried to enter our room on several occasions thinking it was an exhibition room or the likes. Staff intervened at some point after we pointed out that it wasn't very nice.

• Emanuel (9/5): Great little hotel overlooking the Wadi - Great hotel in a beautiful spot overlooking the Wadi, which unfortunately didn't carry much water when we were there in January. The traditional Omani breakfast on the roof was very nice, and we also enjoyed the atmosphere of the rooms. For us, this was the first night in Oman and a great start of a trip which we wished had lasted longer.

• Neil (8/5): A really beautiful accommodation - The location is really beautiful and the accommodation has a lot of areas you can explore. Parking very easy. Room is really nice cause we had a nice terrace. Ac works very good. Just small improvements that could make the experience much more pleasant and special. The breakfast was really poor it really needs some improvements and upgrades. The mattress is really hard and we couldn’t sleep all night. Also the shower is right on the toilet and after shower we asked for a squeezer wiper to wipe all the area. No restaurant on premises. The coffee is a little expensive on site. Room has kettle but needs upgrade to fresh new glasses and coffee tea setting. Wifi not very good.
• Gigy (8/5): Very good - Fanja heritage house is well maintained and managed. Every Staff are professional and courteous. The property is seated in a hillock with a Wadi marking the boundaries . We enjoyed the stay, hospitality and the well crafted ambiance. The food is simply amazing! I had to walk to reception at 11:45 pm to get some remedy for mosquitos.The staff was quick enough to get me some smoke repellant and electric fly catcher in my room. Suggested to have a mosquito repellent in ever room or mosquito nets installed with bed
• orietta (6/5): Delusione - La posizione era buona e lo staff gentile We stayed at this accommodation last week and were a bit disappointed since there were open channels of noisy flowing or otherwise stagnant water inside the rooms, between the bed and the toilet, making for an uncomfortable set up. Moreover the bathroom had a very unpleasant pungent smell, unacceptable for the price point! We believe it’s overpriced in general, compared to other similar accommodations we have stayed at in Oman.

• Riccardo (7/5): Suggerito per una sosta di una notte in un itinerario più lungo. - Carina l’idea di riprodurre un piccolo borgo tipico a bordo di un Wadi Pur senza troppe aspettative (il prezzo è abbordabile per tutte le tasche degli europei) il servizio e le camere sono sembrate un po’ troppo basiche e artigianale… un esempio su tutti: l’acqua della doccia era fredda (probabilmente il boiler non era stato acceso…).

• Achim (9/5): - Die Lage der Anlage ist super. Tolle Atmosphäre, sehr ruhig, sehr freundliches Personal. Es gibt immer was zu sehen. Die Ausstattung unseres einfachen Zimmer war mässig, dafür gibt es aber großzügige Gemeinschaftsräume. Unser Bad hat gemüffelt.
• ♤Mubarak♤ (10/5): - في البداية نبارك لمالك المكان حصولة على المرتبة الأولى كأفضل منتزه على مستوى المحافظة كما تشرفنا بحضور الحفل وبمعرفتكم الطيبة والتعرف على الإنسان الخلوق الرحالة سيف الرواحي ونشكر حفاوتكم وكرمكم وحسن تعاملكم وهذا ليس بغريب عن أهل عمان الطيبين. أما بشأن ما أعجبني في الفندق : - المكان يطل على مزرعة من النخيل والجبال فهو جميل للتأمل والاسترخاء - المكان يحتوي على متحف تاريخي يعرف السائح بشيء يسير من تاريخ عمان ويطلع على الأدوات والأشياء القديمة التي لم تعد تطلب أو تستخدم في وقتنا الحاضر - المكان يحتوي على أقفاص من الحيوانات كالطاووس والسناجب والطيور وغيرها - تصميم المكان ذات الطابع التراثي الجميل وجداول المياه التي تسير على حدود الغرف - الإفطار كان لذيذ 😁 لا شيء، فكل شيء كان رائعا وننصح السياح بتجربة المكان 👍

• Said (10/5): A fantastic location that surpasses luxury hotels in my opinion. - One of the most beautiful places I've seen is a traditional Omani house that has been transformed into a tourist attraction, its premises now a wonderful café serving excellent coffee and kebabs. The staff is fantastic, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the location is surrounded by palm groves and trees, overlooking the valley. I'm saddened that I left the place after only one night. Even if you plan 1 night in Muscat I recommend staying here here and enjoy the nature before - We stayed for 1 night only in the way from the mountains, and everybody was so impressed about the property. It is good in all aspects - the owner did a great job: heritage (70 year old reconstructed house), nature (it is in the middle of the wadi), comfort, very positive staff and owner (they organized exclusive breakfast for us 1 hour before the start, because we had to leave, and it was very delicious Omani cuisine) We had a short stay, and my husband and kids were super disappointed we need to leave

• Arzo (8/5): - What a beautiful, unique property in a gorgeous surrounding. It is so stunning and people come to this place as it is also a kind of museum with a cafe and more. Indeed a unique and pretty hotel which flowers and lights and everything else. Friendly staff. The breakfast was yummy but little and it doesn’t even include coffee or water. This would costs extra. I requested a veggie breakfast which I got and the beans and lentils were okay, it was not a lot (eggs, potatoes, or falafel would have been nice). The animals kept there are probably very interesting for people to see but the birds (especially the pigeons cage) seemed rather small which doesn’t allow them to fly but just flutter around. As an animal lover it was hard to watch.

• Domenico (10/5): Fantastisch - Ausserordentlich gastfreundliche Leute dort, sogar für omanische Verhältnisse! Das Hotel an sich ist eine Art "Erlebnishaus"/Museum/Zoo wo man auch ohne Übernachtung etwas zu sehen hat. Extrem viel Charme und authentisch omanischer Stil. Das Hotelpersonal, besonders Emile sind zuvorkommend doch nicht aufdringlich. Das omanische Frühstück ist sehr gross, weswegen wir jedes mal danach das Mittagessen auslassen mussten. Die anderen Optionen sind auch sehr gut. Der hausgemachte "Cold Brew" Kaffee ist fantastisch und allein einen Besuch wert. Wir hatten zuerst nur eine Nacht gebucht, gedacht als Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach Nizwa, am Ende war Fenge unser zweites Zuhause von wo aus wir Ausflüge machten, nach Empfehlungen des Gastgebers Saif oder gleich mit ihm zusammen. Ohne ihn hätten wir Oman niemals in dieser Tiefe und Authentizität erlebt! Nichts

The double bed fitted wall to wall and bathroom was very small. To exit onto the balcony required some effort. The balcony should have a deck with a cover and chairs. The room had a television with no channels. It would be good to have OSN+ at least. I wish the swimming pool was filled. The venue must serve supper and have a breakfast, and lunch and dinner menu.
• Zied (9/5): Authentic and nice sceneries, a wonderful place at the gates of Muscat - Very authentic experience, at the gates of Muscat (30 minutes max from the city attractions), we got a very pleasant stay at this place, a different and rich experience for kids and family, a nice concept and a warm owner present at the facility and helpful if needed. A bonus: They have a professional coffee barista and superb cold brew coffee with variety of flavors.

Lovely views from terraces out over Wadi and the mountains. Rooms with good facilities, excellent shower and very comfortable bed Would be good to offer supper on site - 20minute to find somewhere for supper.

• Sabah (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location … A day stay is a day to explore .. Lot for a day .. loved it .. Need a much more comfy beds.. Breakfast was minimal - could make better with some additions
• Mohammed (10/5): Absolutely beautiful place! - Really loved the place. It has a really nice location in the wadi. The owner is also very accomodating and gave us a large family room since we have kids around. The staff were also amazing specially the barista and all the guys workign at the place, very hositable and kind! Nothing really. Was an amazing place!

• Maha (8/5): Great Introduction to generous and hospitable Oman!! - The owner welcomed us so warmly and shared his rich traditions and fascinating stories. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the wadi was a treat and the coffee here is amazing! Perfect start to our exploration of Oman! Arrived late at night as planned and waited to be let in - and rooms were a bit stuffy but very clean and comfy. Incense and good aircon meant we slept comfortably .
• Mahmoud (8/5): Good hotel for families, not couples. - The stuff was so helpful. The place is good for relaxing in that old houses style. The place is so crowded on holidays as it's local cafe, so it didn't have any privacy for the full day. No signs showing rooms area, so expect people to knock your door anytime by mistake while hanging around. The surroundings were not so interesting, there was an old fort which was fine, but the wadi doesn't deserve to visit. Overall, it's best for families, not couples.
• Muddasar (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful place to spend some quality time close to nature. The staff is exceptionally friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend! More food options need to be added to the menu.
• Johigi (8/5): Very good - Nice, simple accommodation. We had a very good breakfast and you can buy lovely coffee. Friendly owner and a friendly staff.
• Louise (9/5): A great place to rest and recharge - Beautiful setting looking out on the river/bed with the mountains in the background- so peaceful. Sights and sounds of nature all around. Impressive stone buildings. We had the Omani plates for dinner and breakfast. Coffee, tea, cakes and dates were all top notch. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Could not have felt more welcome. Very little. Internet was a bit patchy in the room but to be honest that was exactly what we needed and made the room even more peaceful- we even had a little stream running thru the bedroom babbling away in the background which was lovely
• Nikolas (10/5): traditional stay at great house - lovely location, nice house incl. exhibition and surroundings, comfy room, nice employees and owner, traditional breakfast and the best italian coffee we had on our trip

• Volker (9/5): Superb - We liked the guesthouse with its extraordinary architecture and design. The owner and his staff is very friendly. Coffee and cakes are top. A very recommendable place to stay only 30 minutes away from the airport.
