• Kakali (2/5): Online Booking was not honored - Online Booking was not honored due to unavailability of rooms. No notice through email or phone was provided. Hotel staff said online booking is closed from Oct to Dec. Last moment we had to hunt for lodgings. Absolutely terrible. Also this seems to be an ongoing scam on most hotels here in ujjain. They charge last moment lodging seekers high rate, and do not reserve room for online bookings at agreed upon price. this allows them to inflate charges for lodging seekers.

Highlighted to the staff, no action taken. * No land-phone in the room to contact reception. There is a contact number stuck on the wall to connect reception through our own mobile phones. Had to call multiple times sometimes to connect with reception. * Ordered tea once, could have been better. * Only one towel provided during check-in, they provided the 2nd towel when asked, the 2nd towel had multiple stains in it.

• Yash (10/5): Excellent - My stay at this hotel was truly wonderful. The rooms were clean and the staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. The food was delicious and I was impressed by the hospitality of the owners. Their helpfulness and genuine kindness made me feel valued as a guest. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, excellent service and warm hospitality. There is no reason to not like this property. Biggest attraction js the distance from the Mahakaleshwar Mandir just 2 mind walks

• Hemangi (4/5): Disappointing - Location was good, near the railway as well as near the mahalok corridor. Poor service, the rooms were too small and all rooms had some of the other issues..we changed the room twice and even when the room was changed still the same issue
• Riddhi (4/5): The staff is very friendly but to improve on cleanliness - The behaviour of the staff is very good. You can reach the main temple in 5 min walk. There was no cleanliness at all. There were 2-3 cockroaches in our room. Overall hygiene was not maintained

You have to do everything on sitting on the bed and toilets are so tiny u can’t wash after you done you know what I’m saying!!

• Nand (1/5): Please remove Hotel Mahalok Palace from your site. - To, Booking.com, This is to be informed that when I reached the Hotel Mahalok Palace on 10 th march, as scheduled, the hotel authority refused to give room saying that there is no room available. they have allotted the room to some other person and I have no other option to find some other hotel nearby with difficulty. It is requested to take necessary action against the hotel and do not to allow these type of hotels in your site. The attitude of the manager was so bad that he even did not ready to allot room and he made me wait for more than an hour although I confirmed the booking two days before. It seems he allotted the room to some other person with higher cost.

Definitely you should consider this hotel if you are a budget traveller and cleanliness addictive. The owners of the hotel are more helpful like wish for anything and they are always ready to help.

• Garvit (7/5): It's actually great to stay here youll feel value for your money. - Good Bedroom Clean Bathroom Ideal Distance from Railway Station and Mahakal Mandir Surroundings are also clean Matresses had a plastic cover which was meant for protection but sound was annoying. A member from the staff knocked on our doors continuously even on the day we didn't have our checkout and their continous knocking literally frustated us that too at 8 am, mannerless behaviour I consider this as. They took the kettle from the room for some purpose and never bought it back (we didn't even need so doesn't matter but still it's their duty to provide us the facilities they promised irrespective of we need it or not).

Even we didn't get hot water early in the morning because gyser was not working properly. Rest cleanliness was OK. Staff behaviour was OK. Temple was so Close to the hotel.

There was no hot water when we arrived and it took staff more than 45 mins to restore it. I suppose staff could be more proactive in ensuring guest comfort. Cleanliness is another issue. Walls were stained with what appears to be tobacco spit stains and bedsheets were soiled too.
