Guest Reviews
- Charlotte (10/5): Wonderful stay - Amazing location next to beautiful walled garden. Wonderful place to stay and carriage was spacious and very clean.
- Lauren (10/5): Fabulous cozy stay with my baby girl. - Everything you need, great location and lovely staff. Cozy and decorated beautifully! Not a problem at all!
- Guest (1/5): - Falsely advertised when we arrived it was a hazard outside looking like a building site, stepping over wired, graffiti on the walls. Staff were rude when we called to say we couldn’t get WiFi their response was to read or enjoy the views at 9pm. Smelt of damp in the carriage, bed sheets damp. £120 for the night- would not recommend this stay.
- Martin (6/5): - Cosy cabin with comfortable bed and great location for our trip No hot water in the Kitchen, intermittant hot water in the Shower. WiFi very unstable didn't work for most of our stay, Outside of the property untidy.
- Anonymous (8/5): Lovely setting and very novel accommodation, some great food options nearby, would visit again! - Fantastic to have access to the walled garden after-hours! And a lovely flower bouquet arranged from the garden by request! We visited "Foyles" nearby for dinner which was delicious! And there seems to be quite a few other great food options nearby, and the garden cafe for lunch/in the day. A few small insects etc can get in which my partner wasn't fond of, but to be expected with the type of accommodation and setting. Not really a problem, less than you would expect if you were to go camping.
- Anonymous (9/5): Beautiful location with friendly staff - Excellent location and very friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again. We especially liked walking around the garden grounds with a cup of tea on the eve of the Summer Solstice. If coming in June remember to bring hay fever medication!
- Julie (10/5): A lovely, quiet stay in a beautiful place. - The location was great and the railway cottage was so comfy - we had a great night’s sleep! The hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable and to help us when we struggled to find a taxi that would take us back to our accommodation. We would certainly come back! We did struggle a bit to connect to the wifi, but it doesn’t bother us very much!
- Lisa (8/5): Cosy hideaway - Beautiful little carriage. Converted with care to a high standard. The garden was nice too. The carriage was not in the garden but nearby and the yard between it and the car park was unfinished.
- Anonymous (10/5): Really good - No breakfast Wifi to the cabin
- Walters (4/5): Dissapointed - This is what we booked. Not what we stayed in. very dissapointed. Glad it was only one night. We were going to a friends wedding so had to put up with it. The approach was very cluttered . It was not on its own, but joined with another. Seems someone else was in the one we had booked. But we could not change to anything else. Didn't get in the bed as bottom sheet looked awful.
- Sarah (8/5): Lovely little place, perfect for a solo traveller. - Lovely little railway carriage set in a lovely place, the lady who showed me around was very very nice. It was perfect for what I needed as I wasn't there that long. The bed was nice and comfortable, however, a bit tricky if there were two of you and you needed to get up in the night. The walled garden very pretty. The television was great and easy to use. Wi-fi was great. A little microwave would be useful and probably more cost effective. Also, some sponges or cloths to clean pots and pans would be useful. Also, maybe a little manual/guide of how to get hot water in the kitchen would be helpful (maybe there was one but I couldn't see it).
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tammy (9/5): Great value and an interesting site in a unique accommodation. - Lovely management, good communication. Interesting location at a walled garden. Very accommodating as well. Very cute and clean accommodations. A little too damp because it was tucked away in the trees. If the cars could be a bit in the sunshine that might be nice. A little more privacy between the two cars with an enclosed sitting area is a nice thought. WiFi didn’t work too well but not sure that was included.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning craftsmanship conversion of old carriage, in a quiet peaceful walled garden grounds loads of areas to go walking x For me it was perfect solitude x
- Mills (7/5): Good - Quirky accommodation.
Good for a short stay as working in the area. Nothing
- Rj93 (10/5): Exactly what we needed - Phenomenal stay with very welcoming hosts, the carriage itself is very impressive and spacious. There is a massive amount of work gone into making it and it shows, every detail is well thought out and there is everything you need for a perfect getaway. The surrounding area and gardens are very quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed wandering around the garden looking at the various flowers, fruits and the bees! The glasshouse is a beautiful sight to behold and surprisingly large. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again one day. Nothing at all, everything perfect
