Marina was an amazing host, very welcoming, wonderfully organized, and she provided an exceptional breakfast for us (much more than expected and all fresh and homemade). Highly recommend the Woodside Guest House. Lovely location especially with the wonderful woodland nearby and the castle grounds. Nothing to say here

• Andre (9/5): Relaxing and peaceful - Marina welcomed us on arrival and we immediately felt at home. Our room had a comfortable bed and ensured a good nights sleep. A two seater couch made watching TV in the evening more homely. The breakfast was brilliant with healthy portions and it is possibly the best breakfast you will get at any bed and breakfast. The owner was exceptional friendly and made suggestions where to visit. We will return should we ever return to Stornoway. Absolute nothing

• Peter (10/5): Lovely house in Stornoway. - This is a great place to stay, located within walking distance to restaurants. We were leaving early to catch the ferry and we were given a packed breakfast. All in all definitely worth a stay.

• Federica (10/5): Soggiorno da sogno sull'isola di Lewis. - Siamo arrivate con il traghetto da Skye dopo le 21 e Marina è stata comunque molto disponibile e gentile ad accoglierci. Alla sera ci è stato chiesto di scegliere da un ampio menù che cosa avremmo voluto mangiare per colazione. La scelta era così ampia e le pietanze così abbondanti che abbiamo dovuto optare per una sola portata, nonostante ne fossero previste due. Era tutto buonissimo e preparato in casa al momento. La camera è molto bella, con ogni comodità, arredata con gusto eccezionale e davvero grande. Il fatto che la camera fosse all'interno della casa in cui vivono i proprietari ci ha fatte sentire accolte e coccolate.

The property was beautifully furnished and presented and had first class facilities. It was spotlessly clean, well located and very quiet. Breakfast was superb. N/A

Posizione comoda da raggiungere (perlomeno con mezzi propri) a pochi minuti dal centro. La proprietaria è stata molto accogliente e cortese, ci siamo trovati benissimo e poi ... colazione super! The property is ideally located, just a lovely walk away from the Stornoway harbour. Marina is indeed a lovely guest, very friendly and welcoming. And her breakfast is second to none! Lewis and Harris is a unique and really remarkable place to explore, we are so happy that we visited. It's a pity that we spent only two nights here, would definitely like to come back for more.

The furnishings and attention to detail were 2nd to none and her whole home is gorgeous . We unfortunately didnt get chance to enjoy the breakfast as we were catching an early ferry but you can assume it would be amazing. I cant heap enough praise on our whole experience That we couldn't stay longer !

• Craig (10/5): Best b and b I've ever used you won't regret using. - The breakfast was great offered a lot more thank what I expected and more than other b and b I've stayed at. The location was beautiful, close to the larger city and close to all activities in the area and very easy to find. The room was great and extremely clean and the whole home looked well maintained. The bed was the best I've slept in extremely comfortable. TV and wifi were both available and fast broadband and as much TV as you would need to watch. Shower was great . Parking was great right next to home. If I've missed anything it would have also been great. The host was very warm and welcoming and accommodating and always happy to help. This is by far my favorite bed and breakfast or hotel I have used. I will be recommending to all I can. Truthfully I could not think of anything that made me think I wish it was better it was all beautiful modern clean and a great place to stay. The only downside was I could not stay any longer.

• Anastasia (10/5): Beautiful home with an amazing host - A wonderful home right next to the Lews Castle grounds and also conveniently located 2 minutes away from a bus stop. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - the room was beautiful and very clean, the host was incredibly welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. While it is located a bit outside the town centre, the walk to the guest house is through the castle grounds/ golf course and is stunning. Also loved the breakfast! Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone. -

The room was actually very warm, as was the bathroom, but we turned the radiators down and opened the windows which obviously helped. Nothing else that we didn't like.
