It’s really difficult to find great accommodation with a dog - I’ve stayed on two occasions now and had great experiences both times. Highly recommended.

Each room was exceptional and the use of the space was very economical. An easy place to keep warm and we found that everything we needed was there There were no dislikes at all.

Not far, with car, to most things we needed, like supermarket, eateries, coffee etc. Occasional drop outs for tv streaming but it seems from our trip so far ( two weeks into a four week trip through the north island) that they are not alone with that issue

• John (10/5): Excellent for our needs close to relatives and friends we planned to visit while in Taupo - We appreciated the care the hosts had put into designing their version of a great Air B&B No doubt using tips picked up from their personal experiences of such adaptive uses of a part of their home. Anyone who found fault with this accommodation AND who had studied the supplied phots would be a most difficult customer for any business,

• Fernando (9/5): It was lovely! Super cozy studio, quiet and relaxing with a great view! - The property is secluded and have a great view. It’s very quiet and had good amenities. It’s a little bit far from the city centre. Everything was about 10min drive, which is really no biggie.

• Shona (8/5): Lovely place to stay. - They had thought of what would be needed for the dog. Provided a dog blanket, treats etc. They were very welcoming. It was very hot and there was air-conditioning.
• Susie (10/5): Arrived late due to car breakdown, once inside found a sanctuary of calmness . - Quite private no noise AAAplus, great Shower , spotless nice linen and well Appointed. Welcomed and farewell by hosts. Nothing . Must say dont use Google Maps in getting there, as she will turn you around in circles.

It is the best accommodation experience I have ever had. - The hosts were absolutely amazing and some of the friendliest people we've met, even baking delicious shortbreads for hot drinks. They renovated the unit themselves, and it is so cute and homely. The shower is an absolute highlight along with the wonderful decorations, making the visit super comfy. It would have been nice if the TV was connected to the provided speakers to improve the sound quality while watching movies, but it wasn't a huge issue.

• Lynn (10/5): A Dream Accommodation - The Belfry was simply beautiful with everything anyone could want from an accommodation. The area was peaceful, the comfort was supreme and the hosts went out of their way to make us settled and enjoy our stay. A quiet peaceful area with very private secluded outlook. The Belfry is close to Taupo lake and the township for events, restaurants, cafes etc. We could not fault it in any way and would HIGHLY recommend this place to all. Absolutely nothing to not like. It was a perfect place to stay

• Joe (6/5): Suited our purpose for a one night stay. - The cleanliness, the shower, the home baking. Understanding from the on-line description from car parking to entrance of the unit was a path. There was no mention, that we could find, about the steepness of the path. If we had known this, Joe who has a disability, would have been more prepared for it - even hand rails on the path would have helped. Joe and Leigh Morris.

Thank you. - There was an option of a lock box for access but the host thoughtfully offered to picked me up from the bus arrival point so I had a personal handover and introduction to the accommodation. It was spotless, private and peaceful with fabulous sunset views and garden setting. Very welcome after long day on training course. Delicious fruit and home baking provided. Slept really well. High quality furnishings. The microwave and fridge and was perfectly fine for me for light meals as I having lunch and supper out. I can't think of anything, everything I needed was provided. The hosts respected my privacy and the entrance is separate to their home. I felt very welcome and encouraged to ask if there was anything I needed further. Very approachable and kind hosts.

The deck area with seats. The bathroom was amazing. The only thing that would have been good to have was an extra duvet or blanket as it was cold at night.

• Mandra (10/5): Peaceful, warm and totally recommended. - Nestled in the quiet suburbs of Taupo this modern, cosy little apartment is delightful. It is surrounded by the beauty of the well maintained garden and a view of the lake beyond the roof tops. It was a winter stay so it was a a relief for me to find it very adequately heated with a heat pump in the compact lounge area. It was extra comfortable with heated floor tiles in the bathroom and electric blanket on the very comfortable bed. The bathroom was seriously understated. It has a rainfall style showerhead in a very modern and spacious shower, heated towel rail and I mention again ,heated floor tiles. The kitchenette is small as stated but has everything for basic cooking or heating of meals and a very decent sized fridge/freezer, better than many hotels I have stayed in. The hosts Mandy and Paul are nearby if needed but otherwise keep it respectfully private.
• Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - A gorgeously appointed luxurious accommodation very tastefully decorated. We enjoyed a most comfortable night after a glorious hot shower. Easy access to the unit and were met with a warm welcome by our hosts. Our stay was way too brief!!
• Alison (9/5): Comfortable, warm, quiet accommodation . Lovely hosts - cared about your needs. - The location was perfect. Although out of the main hustle of Taupo CBD- it’s only a short drive. Nice and quiet. And we could bring our wee dog. The garden space was perfect for him. There is nothing I didn’t like!
• Petrina (9/5): Superb - Close enough to town but yet far enough away from town to enjoy the peace and quiet. Mandy and Paul are great ppl. Made sure we knew they were if we needed anything but then left us to ourselves. Had treats for us and our fur baby. TV internet connection kept dropping in and out. Pretty sure that was to do with the weather though

• Janice (8/5): Very good - Loved the bathroom and bedroom however, kitchen and lounge a little small as was the TV. I thought it was a little rude to be expected to stripe bed linen, wash any dishes that we used plus put any rush up In the main bins. Something you don’t expect to have to do when you are holiday.

• Mcinnes (7/5): Good - The property was beautifully presented, with some nice little extras, which was a sweet touch. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to bring the dogs with us, however the property was listed as fully fenced and they got out a hole in the hedge, which was very traumatic. I appreciate the support the hosts offered and placing netting up after we got them back. The chairs to watch tv made it difficult to relax together, a small couch would be perfect for this space.
