• Maslanka (10/5): Fantastic stay on Elephantine Island - We were 4 middle aged American women friends traveling together who loved our stay at La Terrace. This is a simple property whose charm and value are in it's location and the hospitality of the family who own it. Our apartment was spotlessly clean. The WiFi was strong. Our linens were good quality cotton. The air conditioning worked perfectly. There was plenty of hot water. We really appreciated the village feel of Elephantine Island and our spectacular view across to the Corniche of Aswan. The owner Mohammed communicated well with us and was there in a flash to help us up the steps with our bags. I was concerned that perhaps the ferry over to the Corniche wouldn't run frequently enough, but, I was wrong. It ran every 5 minutes. There are always kids around to help with bags for a few EGP. If you need minibars and room service, this is not the place for you, but, if you want a charming stay in a simple place with excellent value, look no further than La Terrace. We hated to leave!

• Ismaël (10/5): Amazing - We had a wondeful stay. Mohammed was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout. He made our trip much easier by helping us organize our visit to Abu Simbel, taking care of the transportation logistics and making sure it went smoothly. He also arranged the early morning 5am boat trip for us making our early departure stress free. The room was comfortable and clean. And the view on the Nile from the terrace is just stunning. A big thank you! We highly recommend The Terrace.

• Kannan (10/5): - Great stay in nubian village in Elephantine Island. Mohammad was very helpful starting from receiving us at the ferry to checkin to checkout. There are great restaurants nearby. You have to cross a public ferry to reach here to stay. The ferry is available every 15 mins or so , Ferry costs just 15EGP per person and only less than 10 mins ride. Mohammad will help you with bag transfer during the checkin and checkout. He was always in touch in whatsapp on our arrival and was prompt in helping to checkout and getting the bags to ferry. Nil.

In addition to our private bathroom, we had access to a shared bathroom, which was really convenient for us three. The host Mohammed is very kind and responsive. Die Anlegestelle fürs Boot zum anderen Ufer sowie einige Restaurants sind gleich um die Ecke. Es ist auch viel Grün und man kann authentisches Dorfleben erleben. Mohammed ist sehr freundlich und warmherzig und sehr hilfsbereit, so wie die Menschen in der Gegend. Er hat mir auch sehr geholfen, einige Dinge zu organisieren, die ich sehen wollte. Auch eine schöne Dachterrasse ist da, mit Blick auf den Nil. Ich würde sofort jederzeit wiederkommen.

The island is peaceful, and we were so glad we chose to stay there. You can easily explore it on foot without needing a guide, and it’s a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city Overall, a fantastic and relaxing experience—highly recommended if you want to unwind in a beautiful setting The only downside is that breakfast isn’t included in the room price (it would be a great addition!). Also, since the hotel doesn’t have its own boat, you’ll need to take the ferry: 15 Egyptian pounds per person during the day and 75 at night

• DrABC (10/5): 1 of the Nile's "little pieces" of Heaven! Calm, quiet, beautiful ... the pictures posted don't lie! - Mohammad and his wife Amira own a charming, immaculately kept, beautifully designed and well run hotel. Located just minutes away from where the ferry docks, time seems to stand still when one is there. While the sun beams, you can sit on the terrace and hear the sounds of birds and boats rocking while overlooking the Nile as his staff bring a very elegant and fulfilling breakfast piping hot from their kitchen. Want to stay inside? ... there's a common area on the 2nd and 3rd floor landings with comfortable couches where you can sit and relax with friends. Their WiFi too was EXCEPTIONAL! It was the only one of 2 additional locations where I stayed in Egypt (Luxor and Giza) that had a consistently strong signal; I experienced no buffering. Too, additional land/boat trips that I took to the Aswan Museum, the Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, the Nubian Village and the Sofital were booked by Mohammad; the costs were extremely reasonable. Also too, as this is a small, island community ... many business owners know one another ... either on the island or the mainland. When I had a major conflict with a vendor at a bazaar in Aswan, Mohammad contacted the owner of the bazaar and the situation was handled immediately. Therefore, from this beautiful and extremely clean/well run hotel, the food, additional transportation needs for day or night time excursions, or even if you encounter a difficulty ... Mohammad and Amira go above and beyond to ensure your comfort, satisfaction and safety. They leave no stone unturned to ensure that your stay is pleasurable and without incident. Therefore, if you want peace, quiet, and safety, and too want to be near restaurants literally adjacent to this hotel, look no further! Lastly and most importantly, should I be fortunate to return to Egypt again, I will, without hesitation, book a room at La Terrace! I was extremely pleased with everything. One item I would include in the description of getting to this hotel on Elephantine Island from Aswan would be the cost of the Ferry. It's very inexpensive but if you only have large bills, that might pose a problem should the ferry owner not have enough change.

La posizione dell'hotel è vicino alla barca che ti porta sulla riva di Assuan. La Terrace is exactly as shown in the photos. It’s a clean place and Amir is a kind and attentive host. Next to the room is a beautiful terrace with views of the Nile and Aswan. The best part of our stay was meeting AMIDU, Amir’s cousin, who was our driver for our transfer to Luxor. Amidu is a kind and thoughtful young man and his was excellent in driving. He also took us to visit the Temple of Philae, and we were very grateful to him. The hotel is located near the boat that takes you to the Aswan riverbank. Il bagno è minuscolo e veramente discutibile. Non esiste un piatto doccia e quindi abbiamo evitato di lavarci per non allagare tutto. Per fortuna siamo stati solo una notte. La mattina abbiamo richiesto la colazione che era piuttosto povera, ma molto cara. Peccato! This bathroom is tiny and really rather poor. There’s no shower tray, so we avoided having a shower to prevent flooding the whole place. Luckily, we were only there for one night. In the morning, we asked for breakfast, which was rather meagre but very expensive. What a pity!

• MINSEOP (10/5): - 우선 테라스에서 보이는 뷰가 정말 예술입니다. 룩소르에서 타지 못한 열기구 때문에 계획을 변경하여 아스완에서 하루밖에 머물지 못해서 정말 아쉬움이 남는 뷰와 분위기입니다. 그리고 숙소가 엘리펀트 섬에 있어 아부심벨 투어갈 때 제 시간에 못갈까봐 불안했지만 호스트인 모하메드가 새벽에 프라이빗 페리를 잡아줘서 제 시간에 아부심벨에 갔다올 수 있었습니다. 혹시 저와 같은 걱정하시는 분들이 계시다면 참고하시면 될 것 같습니다!
• Masako (9/5): 心癒される島の滞在 - エレファンティン島船着き場から直ぐ。テラスでナイル川を眺める時間は何とものどかで幸せなひと時。時に近所のよろず屋？(24時間Openらしい。私が行った時一時的に閉まっていたが通りがかりの人が店主を呼びに行ってくれた)で買ったカップ麺をテラスで食べたりした。知らずに予約したが島に滞在して大正解。帰りはオーナーが向こう岸まで荷物運んで見送ってくれた。また来たいと思う♬ 朝のシャワー時、水もお湯も出なかった。焦ってオーナーにWhatsAppで連絡したら、出る設定にしたと返信あり事なきを得たが、設定はしといて欲しい(汗)。 オーナーのモハメッドは、booking.comのレビューを直ぐに書いてくれ、良い評価をしてくれ、とチェックアウト日の朝から別れる迄熱心なリクエストしてくるが、心配しなくても一生懸命やってるのはちゃんとわかってるから強要しない方が良いと思う。

• Theodore (10/5): Super chill spot with Nubian vibes! - We really enjoyed our stay on Elephantine Island and we thought it was way better than the mainland side, where we stayed on our last trip. The hotel has a beautiful view of the Nile from its terraces. Mohammed was very accommodating in helping us with our bags from the ferry boat to the hotel. Also, Mohammed was able to arrange our tour via private car to Abu Simbil, which worked out flawlessly. It’s like having a personal travel agent at your service! Crossing the river is a bit of an inconvenience, but the ferry runs regularly and only costs 15 EGP to cross. Mohammed helps with bags and transfers so it’s really no big deal at all. Well worth the effort

• huang (5/5): 干净，但个人并不喜欢 - 卫生干净，老板很用心打理，还会在码头接送 1、酒店在岛上，岛上的路很烂且有味道，行李箱非常不方便。2、预定时显示定的是整套公寓，但是过去时看到需要和其他房间共享厨房和客厅，感觉到自己订错了，这个类似于青旅，但房间内确实是拥有独立的厕所。3、房间内干净，但是洗手间洗脸盆过小，不方便放东西，花洒的水太烫。4、一家三口定的两晚近200美元的公寓，不如再加一点去订个好一点的酒店，这和老板无关，是我预定失误。
• Francisco (10/5): A real home experience in a great modern location - We love the location and the great service from Mohamed. Very clean and modern, great beds and bathrooms. The terrace has fantastic views to watch the sunrise and the boats passing by. Great home feeling to relax and enjoy the island, few minutes away from the center of Aswan. The boat transfer is easy and great for taking pictures of the felucas, which saves you time and effort to organize a trip on the river Nile, which will cost you a lot of money otherwise. I recommend this fantastic new place and if you need anything Mohamed is always available on WhatsApp to arrange and assist you. Thanks again for this wonderful experience that makes you feel like a local resident more than a tourist in a hotel. We will definitely come back, actually I booked this place again after our visit to Abu Simbel. See you soon. Francisco Everything was perfect

La Terrace is on Elephantine Island, itself a highlight of Aswan and best place to stay. No cars! Very easy ferrying to and from the Island. The manager and the cleaning ladies superbly friendly, responsive and helpful. Highly recommanded!

• ZHIRUI (10/5): 非常棒的民宿 - 中国人不骗中国人，非常好的民宿。现在阿斯旺机场非常难打车，所以就使用了民宿的接机服务，价格也不贵，12美金或者600磅一趟，三个人人均也就200磅。老板人很好，有问必应，给我们提供了很多帮助。自由行友好。房间也非常干净，地板都反光了，浴室也超干净，从来没见过这么干净的浴室。位置在象岛上，从KFC码头过去走1分钟就到了。如果要去阿布辛贝也不用担心在岛上不方便，我半夜三点半出发的也有轮渡，老板会帮忙联系好的。👍 没有

Great location near the public ferry stop and really lovely Nile views on the terrace. Mohammad was also very helpful in booking us a very early, off-hour transfer to the airport that went super smoothly, and a driver to take us to Abu Simbel. Breakfast was also delicious and a good value. My only feedback would be to provide something to drink with breakfast like juice or coffee
