• Terri (8/5): Brilliant Staff, great location and Yummy breakfast - The staff are wonderful, breakfast is excellent. Andrew is vey helpful. I had an unfortunate incident on arrival as I hadn't been able to receive the instructions as to how to get into the building, it got sorted. I was also surprised that my private bathroom was across the hall. My room was massive and felt like two rooms, the only issue is that the windows from the lounge room faces onto the lovely outdoor patio that all guests can use and others could look into that room if they wanted to.....no one was on the patio while I was there. If i were to go back I would want a different room. I didn't like the check in process and that my private bathroom was across the hall.. I am older and I suspect this may not bother a younger person.
• nadia (10/5): A DREAM!! - Exceptional service by Andrew and the kitchen team. The avocado toast was amazing. It is my dream place to stay in CDMX. I would recommend for anyone to stay there. The money and extra spend is totally worth it!!! The hospitality, comfy bed, hot shower, furnishings, quiet, incredible location, sunny terrace upstairs, and just everything about this special place made me fall in love with it!!! Feels like living in a luxurious grand mothers house haha.. you will not have any regrets!! zero, just book it!
• Maya (10/5): - The manager, Andrew, who was our main contact was so kind, communicative, helpful, and accommodating. We had an event to go to the day of our check-in, causing us to need an early check-in and Andrew organized this for us and greeted us when we arrived, explained everything in detail and helped us with our bags. He also gave us breakfast meals to go since we were leaving very early the next morning and checking out before the breakfast even started. The hotel we beautifully decorated, terrace amazing, and room so spacious and comfortable, I hope to come back to spend more time there and enjoy the facilities and yummy food. • Gabrielle (10/5): - The location is amazing and convenient, the house itself is gorgeous, and Andrew and his staff are so kind and helpful. My partner and I stayed here for a week in October to celebrate our anniversary, and it was such a special experience. The complimentary breakfast was so delicious, I had chilaquiles almost every morning. Also, the house and our room smelled SO good. :) We definitely plan to return to Nokal in the future!

• Lawrence (8/5): Clean, spacious, private room. Wish the bathroom were not across the hall but it is what it is. - Room was nice and quiet. I’m 74 and didn’t realize my room was a three-floor walk-up. Roof garden is a bit tired. Some misunderstanding between myself and the host and his staff but nothing too serious and not worth going into in detail.

• Alice (9/5): Can't beat the location - The staff is great. Great location. Clean. Breakfasts are delicious and plenty to fuel a busy morning. A truly special touch was the altar the staff made for Day of the Dead and included pictures of our families. Much thanks to Andrew, Andres, and Vicky. They will take care of all your needs. We had the single bedroom with balcony suite.. There really was no comfortable sitting place. There is a couch in the studio, but not that comfortable for a smaller person, nor a place to set a glass of wine. We wished for 2 comfortable chairs facing the balcony and street with a small table in between. Also I'd suggest some comfortable seating on the roof terrace. The shower is great, but one has to hurdle a large bathtub - be great for a bath. I was basically very happy with our stay at the Nokal. I'm 82, so I'd suggest it's better for younger folks.

• Keila Z. (10/5): A very hospitable and cozy stay - The hospitality of the staff was the best part of this stay. Very attentive and very quick to respond to our needs. The location is the other top favorite part of this stay. And the breakfast was great too! Minor things, the bathroom bathtub/shower spills all over the place if you take a quick shower rather than a bath so we kept having these soaked floor towels. It was also humid and with a musty smell (maybe it was quite strong because of how humid and rainy it was outside as well) but their housekeeping service is great and helped with both of those issues. I recommend and would stay again.

The hotel has a very nice an warm vibe, full of art and very well decorated. The breakfast is very good too, I could not have enough of the chilaquiles. The staff was very helpful and friendly The wifi is good, but could be a bit better. In some parts of my room, the signal was a bit weak, with me losing connection to it sometimes
• TravelMattF (9/5): Perfect launch pad to explore Mexico City. - The location was perfect. Such a lovely, safe neighbourhood, with parks and nice places to eat and drink within walking distance. You can easily walk to some of the tour pick ups, etc, or an easy pick up by Uber. It's very quiet and hardly saw any other guests. The staff were really helpful too. A minor thing, the breakfast was a little limited, and as I was going on tours, I missed it altogether on a number of days, as they dont start serving until 8. But it's a minor thing.

• Isaac (10/5): I lived it as an unexpected luxury that made my stay truly special - At first, I was surprised that the bathroom of my room was right in front (less than two meters away), but honestly, it turned out to be a great advantage. The manager explained that after 8:00 pm, the entire floor, including the terrace, was completely mine. And what a unique experience! While other guests had limited access, I was able to enjoy a totally private night with a glass of wine, some soft music, and absolute peace. It truly felt like having my own exclusive space inside the hotel: silence, comfort, and a sense of intimacy you rarely find anywhere else. More than a negative detail, I lived it as an unexpected luxury that made my stay truly special

• Brid (7/5): A good start to our vacation - Great location, clean and quiet rooms, nice rooftop terrace. Rooms are spacious and the manager was very friendly. Initial contact via WhatsApp was great. There is only very limited service and the breakfast was identical every day. Our room was not cleaned and the coffee in the room was not refilled. The room in which breakfast is served is not very inviting, a bit like a waiting room which does not feel adequate for the price.

• Garth (10/5): Lovely guest house in La Condesa - Breakfast was excellent, diced fresh fruit and choice of huevos Mexicanos or chilaquiles, etc. Location was perfect, in a beautiful area of La Condesa/Hipodromo, with good food and tea just minutes away on foot. Very quiet except for a few hours of construction noise one day.

Está en el corazón de la Condesa y se puede llegar en transporte público o caminando a otros barrios. El personal es amable y atento, y estuvo encantado de responder cualquier pregunta. El desayuno estuvo delicioso y, como es pequeño, fue una excelente manera de conocer a otros huéspedes. ¡Recomiendo ampliamente Nokal como tu base en la Ciudad de México!

The decor and location were the second best. I stayed in the room right next to the terrace. The size is great and the bed is very comfortable. Everything is of superb quality. The one thing to note is that the bathroom is detached from the room. You actually have to leave your room to use the restroom. I wish they had mentioned it on the listing. When I saw that upon my arrival I was a bit disappointed. With that said, it wasn't a big deal at the end of it all. I would come back. And again, the staff made it extra special and I am so grateful. Just the bathroom that is detached from the room. But not a deal breaker.

• Karen (10/5): Definitely a winner. - Incredible staff and manager. On the first day of our week trip to Mexico City I managed a faceplate 30 feet from the hotel door. The staff saw it on their outdoor security camera. The attention was fantastic. Ambulance called. Ice packs provided, and the manager went to a pharmacy to get some pain pills. He wouldn't even take payment. He brought me tea later in the day and checked up on me. Did I mention the location is perfect and on the best street in the city! It was perfect

• Rebecca (10/5): Perfect for exploring Condesa. - It was a lovely property with a great location. Very convenient to walk around Condesa. Service was also excellent. I had a big heavy luggage and the staff helped to bring it up and down. It wasn’t an issue, but just worth noting that for the room on the top floor, the bathroom is outside. It’s still private and very clean, with great amenities.
• Jessica (10/5): Phenomenal place to stay in CDMX - One of the absolute nicest places I've ever stayed! The apartment (suite w/ balcony, aka Cuauhtlah room) was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. While it's in a vibrant neighbourhood, the room looks out at a small park which makes for a quiet night's sleep. And even in the warm month of April the room was cool enough to easily fall asleep. We had everything we needed including a safe, fridge, hair dryer, bathrobes, and it was a bonus to have the extra space with the couch and little balcony where we could watch dogs play in the park. The manager (Andrew) was lovely and sent all the info we needed to check in late at night, and the staff making breakfast in the morning were very friendly as well. Breakfast was served daily 9 to 11 and was quite tasty. The rooftop patio was nice for enjoying in the evenings as well, again it was quiet and relaxing. And the location can't be beat - restaurants everywhere, wonderful places to walk, and easy to get to other parts of the city. Nothing
• Nikolai (8/5): Friendly staff and amazing location. - The best thing about this hotel is its location. Amazing location, easy to get in and out, just perfect. Guys working at the property were very nice and friendly. Housekeeping did a great job. Unfortunately, we were dissapointed about the room layout. It was not clear to us when we were booking that bathroom will be across the hall, not in the room. If this was made clear to us, we wouldnt have made a reservation. Bathroom is getting up in the years as well, chipping paint, mold, but dispite that still cleaned well by the housekeeping.
• Kaitlin (7/5): Wonderful host & location; some areas for improvement - -responsiveness & helpfulness of manager (Andrew) when we had a few issues -excellent location in beautiful area with lots of cafes & restaurants around -lovely decor in restored building Areas for improvement in some important details: -shower flooded most of bathroom due to poor design and/or installment -shower was confusing at first bc the English letters (H/C) didn’t match the temps and was sometimes scalding hot -fan didn’t work upon our late night arrival and room was hot/stuffy (Andrew fixed this when we reported it); opening windows let mosquitos in -better/newer pillows & pillowcases needed (the embroidery on the pillowcase is uncomfortable)
• Sarah (9/5): Nice Stay - The property is in the perfect location…amazing neighborhood with great restaurants and bars. Nice for walking and exploring, located just across from a little park with a fountain. The room itself was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. We appreciated having blackout curtains for sleeping, as well as a fan for air circulation. The breakfast was nice, though we only dined 2 mornings of our stay. Andrew and the rest of the staff were very responsive and helpful as well. The decor of the hotel is very charming with beautiful tiles and a great aesthetic that makes you feel relaxed. Our biggest qualm was that the bathroom of our room (double room with terrace) was located outside of the room which we did not know at the time of booking and was not mentioned anywhere that we saw. It was just a few steps away, but felt annoying at times having to lock/unlock the bathroom door as this space is also shared with the terrace that other guests use. It also minimized the privacy as it was sometimes necessary to leave the bathroom door open for ventilation (after showering), but then you must think about other guests walking by your open bathroom door. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but would choose a different room.

• Hollie (8/5): Pretty hotel in a great area - Very cute spot in a really great area. Our flight was cancelled and the lovely host refunded one of our nights last minute which was very kind. Great communication overall, sad we couldn't stay longer. Beautifully tiled interiors too, took lots of pics! The shower over the rolltop bath let out a lot of water, wasn't the easiest to shower in but we just put towels down on the floor so didn't bother us too much.

Beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail—a truly bespoke experience. The terrace was a dream, and the peace and quiet made it the perfect escape. Can’t wait to come back! It is quiet if you keep the windows closed. My room in the back was quiet. But very dark. They need better lights. or stronger light bulbs. The room in the front had a vsery strange fishy odor. if windows were open smell went away but if closed the smell was bad. Room was clean, we couldn't determine were the smell came from it wasn't the bathroom either. Maybe in the paint of the walls ? it was hard to leave the windows open due to the street noice.

• Pamela (8/5): Perfect location, nicely designed! - The location is the best to walk around the Condesa/Roma neighborhoods. The property itself is really nicely decorated. It feels chic with a touch of Mexican culture. The room is large and very well equipped! The staff was also very friendly and helpful! Our room was facing the courtyard on the 1st floor (not to be confused with the ground floor), and this blocked the natural daylight. The lighting is also on the dimmer side, so the room often felt dark. Mexico is very sunny and we would have preferred to wake up to the sun. Again, this was our room, and they have others. 😊

The sound from the windows was pretty loud. For example, some guy sleeping on a bench was shouting all night long, and some police cars with sirens were driving by.

The staff were incredible and went the extra mile to please. The location is fabulous with a lovely little park and fountain right outside. Very walkable. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it's like an Airbnb-hotel hybrid, which was a new style of accommodation I'd never stayed in before. I think I would have preferred more hotel vibes but if you're looking for quiet and somewhere all to yourself, this is the spot!
• Hunter (5/5): Passable - Great location, staff was nice The rooftop terrace could've been really nice, but was so dirty it was hard to enjoy. The top room is weird.. its right beside the terrace, you can hear conversations and people hanging outside the room. It was also very cold and neither the thermostat nor fan seemed to work or help.

• Linda (9/5): Lovely! - Lovely location on a quiet roundabout with a nice water fountain. There are restaurants and parks very close by. What is very exclusive is there are only 3 room on this property so very private. The staff was very nice and helpful. Nothing. Loved it.

The room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable, it always felt like coming home and never like a generic hotel. Having more free water available throughout the day would have been nice but that's my only comment.
• Shirla (10/5): Outstanding Bed & Breakfast in the heart of La Condessa - Nokal Exclusive Stay was amazing, spent 8 nights there and could have stayed longer! The House has only 3 bedrooms, everything beautifully decorated with high quality materials. Bedroom still smelled of fresh wood, which they had on the floor and closets. Bed and sheets extremely comfortable, quiet street, morning breakfast offered Avocado Toast (the BEST I have ever had - I looked forward to it every morning!), omelet or chilaquiles, paired with a delicious bowl of fruit/nuts/honey. Angel, Arris & Adrian were the attentive staff who took care of everything, they were all so friendly, efficient and definitely made it feel like a personalized stay! The neighborhood of La Condessa surprised me, we felt safe and in awe of so much surrounding greenery, beautiful and well maintained parks, fountains, so many close options of restaurants, cafes and the property is only a few blocks from the metro, which we used daily. Also very close to a supermarket. We enjoy walking to get the feel for a city, we walked for example to the Anthropology Museum which took about 1 hr. The only thing that I would say was negative was that the shower water took a long time to heat up and the water pressure was not strong, but this is not uncommon in many places in Latin America, and it didn't impact the stay for us in any negative way.

• Lisa (10/5): Freaking awesome. Angel is an amazing cook and the place is so cute and comfortable! - I have never enjoyed a hotel stay as much as I did at Nokal Exclusive Stay. I was a little nervous since it was a new property, but I am so glad that we decided to stay there. The breakfast was phenomenal, the bed was very comfortable, the robes in the bathroom were soft and splendid, the interior design was spot on, and both the owner and the manager were so friendly and helpful. It was also nice and quiet and the honey soap in the bathroom smelled superb. I will 100% choose to stay there again next time I'm in Mexico city.
