• Jakobien (8/5): Pleasant, beautifully decorated, lovely food, but lacks personality, and no greenery or garden. - Our stay was pleasant. The riad is beautifully decorated and dinner was delicious. Overall the riad lacked a bit of personality. The manager wasn´t very helpful in finding us a hammam facility in the neighborhood.

(10/5): Schoon, sfeervol en comfortabel met attent en zorgzaam personeel - We kwamen terug na 1 nacht in een tentenkamp te hebben geslapen en onze tweede verblijft was vanzelfsprekend net zo fantastisch als de eerste keer. Zie onze eerdere review! Wat we nog willen toevoegen aan onze eerdere review is dat er niet alleen het ontbijt heel goed en uitgebreid was maar dat er ook traditionele Marokkaanse gerechten voor lunch en dinner geserveerd kunnen worden. Het menu is niet heel uitgebreid maar wat ze er klaarmaken is echt delicious. Het zwembad is goed onderhouden en het water is altijd heder en schoon.

De bedden zijn ook verrassend zeer groot en heel comfortabel. Ook alle gezamenlijke ruimtes zoals de eetzaal en de lobby/ lounge zijn groot, gezellig en uitnodigend om er te gaan zitten en te ontspannen. Zeer goed en uitgebreid ontbijt. Gratis parkeren op eigen terrein. Aan de receptie kun je alle sorte woestijn activiteiten aanvragen en direct laten organiseren soms nog goedkoper dan de "aanbiedingen" op internet. Zeer vriendelijk, attent en zorgzaam personeel.

• Tobias (10/5): Ein Traum und endlich bequem schlafen!!! - Das Hotel ist ein echtes Juwel. Sehr bequem und komfortabel. Die Betten sind ein Traum. Endlich Mal weiche angenehme Betten. Wir haben geschlafen wie im Himmel. Mohamed war unglaublich aufmerksam und sehr lieb. Er hat uns alles ermöglicht, was wir uns gewünscht haben und noch viel mehr... Sehr netter Typ. • Yusuke (10/5): とても快適で親切なホテル - とてもよく部屋がデザインされている。モロッコのホテルの雰囲気が味わえる。清掃がしっかりしていて部屋がきれい。また、とても広い。モロッコでこれまでに泊まったホテルで一番気に入った。 場所はバスターミナルから徒歩10分と近い。砂漠の入り口へは20分。朝日を見に行きましたが徒歩で行けました。 スタッフがフレンドリーでとても親切。洗濯物を干すところを貸してくれた。また、チェックアウトの２日後にもかかわらず荷物を置かせてくれたりトイレを使わせてくれたりした。とても助かった。フロントデスクの男性も親切。レストランの係の男性はとても親しみやすくフレンドリー。このホテルのおかげでメルズーガの滞在がとても良いものになった。 特になし。砂漠の目の前の泊まりたい人は別のホテルがよいかもしれませんが、

• Marco (10/5): Riad Jouba, a true gem of Merzouga - My stay at Riad Jouba was simply wonderful and truly unforgettable. The room was large and spacious, with a beautiful balcony that made the stay even more enjoyable. The bathroom was also very spacious and, most importantly, equipped with all the comforts one could need. From the very first moment, the kindness and professionalism of the staff were exceptional. They welcomed us warmly, helped us with our luggage, patiently answered all our questions, and supported us throughout our stay, always serving us in the best possible way. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail: from the delicious tea offered to us, to the excellent dinner, which included several different options, all well-prepared and full of flavor. Overall, it was a truly marvelous stay that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Merzouga. Riad Jouba is a real gem, and I would gladly return without hesitation.

• Min (8/5): It was a very pleasant stay and we had the best sleep in Morocco. - It is close to the bus station. The riad is pretty big and luxurious among all we have seen in Merzouga after wandering around for two days. The breakfast is the best we have had in Morocco even though the concept is all same. Highly recommended!!! The shower temperature is not stable, probably because of the water pressure. That was very annoying. The stuff tried to sell you activities with a big premium. After he heard that we booked the camel ride and desert camp with others, he became unhappy and lost interest in us.

The location near the dunes, the view of Lalla Merzouga, the rooftop terrace, the pool, the room, the bedding, the decor, the furniture—all were wonderful. The cleanliness was exemplary, and the decor was very tasteful. The Riad supports local crafts. The meals are excellent, and it's possible to request a special dish in advance. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and very engaging. It's like staying with old friends. We had a great time with Barri, the owner. The photos on the website accurately reflect reality.

The quality of the construction, the large, well-appointed, and comfortable rooms, and the generous breakfasts included are noteworthy. I was greeted with tea and snacks as this the Moroccan way. The staff was welcoming and proficient in languages. My room was spacious and decorated with the feel of the Sahara. It was the Merzouga room.

• Sophie (10/5): Super! - Eigenlijk beviel alles. Wat een fantastische kamers en super mooie riad. Bij binnenkomst heel hartelijk verwelkomd na een lange reis. Alles werd voor ons gedaan. Heerlijk avond kunnen eten en even kunnen zwemmen. Zwembad lijkt wat troebel maar dit komt door al het Sahara zand. Kamers super groot, schoon en mooi. Personeel regelt hele leuke dingen als je wilt zoals in een buggy door de woestijn of slapen in een tent in de woestijn. Kies zeker de optie om in de tent in de woenstijn te slapen, ze laten hier alle prijzen zien inclusief transfer bij quad naar het kamp toe. Als ik terug ga naar de Sahara kom ik zeker hier naar terug!

There’s power cutoff and subsequently the aircon in the room wasn’t working properly and we alerted the boss. But instead of acknowledging the problem, he insisted that the aircon is ok. In the end, the error message in the aircon came up and finally the staff (not the boss) change a room (to the only room which has a decent working aircon) for us. Overall the boss feels rather avaricious with the only guest in the riad.

• Miranda (10/5): Best place to stay in Merzouga - The is a beautiful place! The entire riad is picture worthy! And the staff from the moment you get there until you check out are very accommodating and attentive. We were able to check in early even though we didn’t arrange it before hand. Soufiane made us breakfast early in the morning because we had to get on the road. We didn’t use them but they had ATV’s for rent as well that looked to be brand new and in better condition than most of the ones I saw. Skip the desert “luxury” camps and have a real luxes experience at Riad Jouba

The host happily accommodated our early checkin request and served us breakfast on the same day. The service felt very personal and our stay within the riad was wonderful. The riad is a little far out from the dunes, unlike the tents that are situated directly within them. You’ll need a 4x4 to get to the dunes, which can be quite costly—we were quoted €25 per person for a round trip. Additionally, the host was a bit insistent, often trying to sell us activities. We eventually booked the camel ride and dinner through the hotel but were disappointed with the overall experience. The camel ride ended around 4:45 PM, leaving us stranded at the camp for hours before dinner was served. Unfortunately, the dinner itself was very underwhelming and not worth the price. Most of the meals were vegetarian, so not good for meat lovers or people who don’t enjoy vegetables. There was hardly any entertainment or party atmosphere either. After voicing our dissatisfaction, the host did offer a discount, but the experience was already spoiled. I would recommend organizing activities independently through platforms like Viator or GetYourGuide for a better experience.

• Ghassan (10/5): Exceptional - Great staff, they were there for us every single time and assisted us with every request. Breakfast and dinner were served at our convenience, tea and snacks at the pool served any time. Riad is beautifully furnished. Convenient drive to the dunes.
• Elizabth (10/5): Amazing!!!! Great guides - The staff where very welcoming!! The riad stunningly beautiful with beautiful Moroccon art work! The rooms clean and well lade out !! And as for the food yummie yummie scrumptious!! I would come back in a heartbeat.

• Angela (10/5): Luxury accommodations - Riad Jouba is a spectacular riad in Merzouga. The staff was exceptional and the food superb.

The staff exhibited generosity and care throughout our visit. In particular, they went above and beyond to help me organize a celebration for my friend's birthday. From candles to cake and lively birthday songs with drums, every detail was flawlessly arranged. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the overall experience made us feel like royalty. This is the perfect holiday destination for those who want to be treated like the main characters in their own story.

• Sarah (9/5): Superb - Big and spacious riad decorated with style, the riad being very new combined with the beautiful design was the main reason I booked it and it met my expectations. The level of service is amazing and the staff was great and took really good care of us. The tents are also very nice we had a lovely dinner and could enjoy sunset on the way there and a beautiful sunrise from the dunes surrounding the tent. Not much really.
