• Katarina (10/5): Overall, I had a very good experience here. The hosts were genuinely kind and helpful, and I would happily stay here aga - After a disappointing experience at another place, I was very happy to find this property. It was very affordable and looked exactly like the photos. The hosts were extremely kind and welcoming, and I immediately felt comfortable staying there. Even though the restaurant was already closed when I was leaving, they kindly prepared some lunch for me before my ride to the airport. They also helped me arrange a taxi that was much cheaper than the one I had originally booked, which I really appreciated. Their hospitality made a big difference and made my stay very pleasant. The only small inconvenience was that I had to wait a bit for the room to be ready because there was an electricity issue during a holiday and no electricians were available at the time. However, this was clearly outside of the hosts’ control and they handled the situation as well as they could.

• Isile14 (4/5): Pas terrible... - Il y avait une énorme araignée dans la salle de bain et quelqu'un est venue tout de suite l'enlever lorsque j'ai demandé de l'aide. Les rideaux pour cacher les nombreux passages devant les baies vitrées de la chambre. A mon arrivée, j'ai juste eu le droit de payer après avoir reçu la clé mais aucune information sur l'infrastructure ou aucun mot de bienvenue. La salle de bain sent vraiment mauvais. Il y a une fuite d'eau dans le plafond de ce fait tout était mouillé et l'eau coulait sur la lampe du miroir. J'ai avertis le propriétaire, il m'a simplement dit que ce n'était pas dangereux. L'eau du robinet sent la ferraille. Ce n'était pas très propre. C'est mal isolé. J'ai demandé à changer de chambre mais aucune réponse. Globalement je ne me suis pas sentie bien durant les 4 nuits que j'y ai passé.

• David (6/5): Too humed. Uncomfortable. - Big bed. It was clean. Safe place. Calm. The room was too dumped. The humidity levels were so high that we were super hot and muggy. We were sweating all the time. We could not open the door to refresh because bugs would come in. There was no mosquito net in the room were we stayed. It was mostly the feeling of humidity and lack of fresh air. Too pricy for the value you get.

We went for a family trip, and on the first day, we were uncomfortable due to the slight room being delayed as a technical issue, but they made it our stay as on point. More than everything, my family was happy. We miss the dog 🐕 called shedo, especially my two kids they being playing with them since we arrived Amazing fried rice.. and the passionfruit juice . If they had TV it could have been better

Beautiful and peaceful garden, close to the city center and all the surfspots. They offer Laundry service, breakfast, you can get literally everything you need for an amazing stay

Situated a litle 10 minute walk from town, in a quet area with rice fields around. The hosts are very nice and they also provide relatively cheap food for room service! • Glen (10/5): Exceptional - What can I say. Cali and Justin and the whole family are fabulous hosts, they looked after me whilst I stayed here for 10 days on my own as a solo traveller. The food is locally priced and cheap and delicious, the dog and kitten are super friendly and there is a really nice terrace to chill at night time. Justin even gave me some fresh chillis and peppercorn from their garden to bring back to England when I left. A quiet, chilled and really friendly place and people. Thank you so much guys!!

• Key (5/5): Passable - Relatively inexpensive , clean , nice staff but no aircon, no pool ( there are similarly priced places with both these facilities nearby), also no shower curtain separating shower from commode area so everything gets wet ( a pet gate of mine) and they have a friendly but big, boisterous dog that might put people with kids off so overall it’s ok. See above

I loved the big terrace and a big garden ideal for birdwatching! Also beautiful rice fields nearby where I saw kingfishers 🐦 Very nice owners and friendly animals 😻

The house house is set in a quiet area and the gardens are lovely. The manager was really nice and helpful

Staff is amazingly kind and always available to help. Lovely atmosphere. Everything is nearby: beach, restaurants, temples etc. Strongly recommended!

• Ghislain (5/5): Basic stay for a good price - The house looks really good from the outside. Our room was basic, but considering the price-quality it was good. One really nice thing is that my girlfriend got scratched by a dog, and when contacting the hosts, they sent someone to help diagnose and clean the scratch! I think we may have had an older room, compared to the rooms on the pictures. Other rooms in the pictures had a small outside place, though ours didn’t. The room had a nice airco, but the bed has seen its best time. The bathroom was very clammy because the window for ventilation is small. The shower itself was very nice, but there was a small leak on the ceiling. I think our hosts were on holiday, because we have not seen them, but in the end we got the payment done!
• Anthony (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible place. Would happily just live there and never leave. Peaceful. Beautiful property, gorgeous rooms, designed with high aesthetic. AC and a comfy bed. Nice bathroom and even a private garden area, and a writing desk. High ceilings lend a lot of space to the room. Justin is a legendary host. And Shadow the golden retriever! Barely a three minute ride to surf Marshmallow. This place is the best.

• Saira (10/5): Peaceful stay - Justin and his family are lovely hosts, very kind and helpful. The property is 10 minutes walk from the main town which is really nice, being quiet and surrounded by nature. The rooms are big and clean and the kitchen is well equipped. I had a very comfortable stay.
• Nijat (9/5): Great place away from city noise - Justin was super lovely! He helped me a lot with the tips on how to get around, how to travel from the South to Ella, where to eat, what to see, etc. He was also very accommodating as I had to stay only two weeks instead of three planned, and he changed it without any problem. There is also a looooovely dog - Shadow, who always wanted to play 🤩 Internet was a bit slow in the evenings, but it is the same across all of Sri Lanka

• Maximilian (8/5): Except for bed and location, I can recommend this stay. - All in all good place to stay. The owner is friendly, the dog shadow super playful and easy-going. Room and bathroom are spacious. It is at least a 15min walk to the beach and the host does not necessarily have bicycles to give away. Scooter would be the best option. And the bed is awfully loud with every twist and turn!

The building is surrounded by the trees and stays in the shade .The bathroom is huge..We have stayed here twice and really enjoyed our stay.
