• Peter804 (10/5): Friendly Farm Stay - A working Japanese farm with a genuine experience of farm life in Japan. Multi dish breakfasts and dinners beautifully cooked. Our host was warm and welcoming. A real highlight of out travels in Japan. Our four night visit was over too soon, we could have stayed even longer.

• Sybil (10/5): Incredible hospitality provided by the wondrous Fuji San. - We loved our farm stay. Fuji San was amazing. She was warm and welcoming and a credible cook. The property was a great base from which to explore the surrounding ski resorts. The beds are comfortable, there’s a great shower room and laundry and a well equipped kitchen. Fuji San stoked the fire every morning and evening to ensure we were toasty warm. We had a hire car which enameled us to explore this beautiful area. It was great. Nothing to dislike.

• Carsten (9/5): Ländlich, persönlich, aussergewöhnlich, ruhig, super Essen. - Die Unterkunft liegt in der Nähe von Kakonodate und dem Tazawa-See und unmittelbar (10 Minuten Fußweg) an der berühmten Smile-Rail-Privatbahnstrecke (Akita-Nairiku-Railway), mit der man auch von Kakonodate aus dorthin kommt. Landschaftlich reizvoll. Gastgeberin außergewöhnlich! Alle Menschen, mit denen wir vor Ort Kontakt hatten, äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fanden alles wie erwartet vor und hatten es uns genau so vorgestellt. Die Menschen sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit und wir werden Nordjapan auch wegen der Gastgeberin in allerbester Erinnerung behalten.

• Jun (10/5): Exceptional - Enjoyed our stay here by the country side. The place is very spacious. the food that fuji-san cooked are very yummy too. a very authentic Japanese style experience. will definitely come back here again.
• Bee (9/5): Excellent host n wonderful meals - Ms Fuji was expecting us when we got to her farm house. We were the only ones booked for the night. Excellent place in the middle of nowhere. Special mention on the meals , they were excellent an very yummy. We enjoyed our stay for the night very much. She was an excellent host. location was not easy to find but we drove , so was alright.
• Isabella (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay with Fuji-san! She is so sweet, and she and her mom cooked us absolutely delicious food. The house is located on the beautiful country-side just a short train-ride from Kakunodate. The room to sleep in is gorgeous and very spaceous. We hope to come back one day!:)
• Greg (9/5): Traditional home stay. Worth your time - Fuji San is the hostess with the mostest. She made you feel so very welcome. She spoke good English which was helpful. It was like a home way from home accommodation. Views of the fields were amazing. We got the half board and the food was fabulous. Would totally recommend staying there. It was a bit cold in areas but Fuji San got the fire place and heaters going early to help with this.

(9/5): Perfect homestay experience with authentic hospitality! - The host, Fuji-san was the friendliest, even speaking with us with a little mandarin, and even in the late autumn-early winter weather, the surrounding environment of the farmhouse and fields was still great to be in! :) The meals were also immaculately prepared and the kiritanpo-making experience was really one to remember!! The wifi connection was a little unstable, but Fuji-san was well prepared to assist upon being informed :)
• Kelly (10/5): Excellent services - All meals are good and the hostel has excellent services, we feel very warm and welcome. She knows exactly when we’re awake and come to our room to set up fire for us during this cold weather. Will refer more friends to visit! So far so good, except the transition is not very convincing but we have a car so it’s not really a big issue for us
• Denis (10/5): Kind service and amazing food - The hostess is very kind and the diner and breakfast with local produces is just amazing. Cooked simply and perfectly for the best Japanese flavours !
• Yoon (9/5): We had a relaxing and comfortable stay. We had the whole kitchen, sitting room and 2 rooms. - Spacious, clean and comfortable. Beautiful dahlia flowers and various vegetables on the farm. Would recommend this farm stay. Location is alittle out of the way and unless you have your own transport, it is quite difficult to reach. The rooms are upstairs and if you have heavy luggage, it would be difficult to bring up. However, the host deftly carried my bag upstairs, so it was no issue for me.
• Maria (10/5): Perfect! - We are delighted with our stay! The kind lady at the hotel waited for us late into the night so we could check in, and she was always incredibly friendly. She also took into account my gluten intolerance and prepared a delicious and plentiful breakfast, all gluten-free. Staying at this hotel feels like being at home. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we will be back! -
• Marlene (10/5): Most atmospheric place in the countryside - We absolutely loved our stay with Fujisan. The upstairs area where we stayed was very spacious, the tatami sleeping arrangement very cosy and the food she cooked for us was among the best meals we had in the whole of Japan. If you want to spend some time away from the cities and their business hotels, and get a real feeling for rural Japan, this is the perfect place to go!

Excellent breakfast with a nice view. Overall, a homely and unique local experience that we really enjoyed.
