• Finn (10/5): Außergewöhnlich - Ein Aufenthalt, wie ich ihn selten hatte. Zuerst wurde ich sehr herzlich begrüßt. Ich konnte für einen sehr fairen Preis eine Bootstour mit dem Eigentümer sowie ein Abendessen mit frisch gefangen Fisch aus dem See bekommen. Ein ganz besonders gutes Erlebnis!

Highly suggest ordering a fish dinner to share/ prepared perfectly by his Mom. Mijo has a nice boat for lake trips Great escape to live like a village local (in style) Nothing. Note hosts are happy to help with luggage as needed. There are a few sets of narrow stairs to achieve the view.

We were welcomed by the father who was exceptionally friendly and offered us a welcome drink when we arrived and coffee in the morning. The location is perfect, in a nice authentic village. It’s possible to start boat tours on the Skadar lake from here. That we didn’t have time to stay longer 😁

• Asha (10/5): Blissful! - Mijo's father met us at the bottom of the property. He was delightful very warm welcoming and we communicated with him using google translate. Mijo's mum was very nice too and she cooked a lovely fish supper of carp and mullet fresh from the lake. The following morning Mijo's took us to the lake at sunrise weather was cloudy but the sun peeped through and the scenery was stunning we spent 2 hours in amongst the calmness of nature would recommend doing this! All was excellent, the boat trip cost more than I had expected, but that was my fault as I hadn't asked the price before hand. That being said it was an early start and we enjoyed every moment! Good idea to wrap up warm as it did get a little chilly on the waters. Mijo gave us the time to enjoy the calm and stillness of the lake which was sheer bliss! Thank you !

• Colin (10/5): Beautiful location at Lake Skadar with a wonderful host – highly recommended! - The location right by Lake Skadar is stunning, perfect for trips and nature activities. Host Mijo was incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with anything we needed and offering many exciting activities. Perfect for a stopover when arriving in or departing from Podgorica, as the airport is just a short drive away.

He was also our Captain and instructor for 2 hours trip in the lake and hosted us for a great fish dinner with his wife - Sania. Very knowledgeable and kind host, and this is of great importance in this beautiful location. The room is basic, and there are stairs to climb. It’s really worth it once you sit in the balcony and onsite stunning view

• Robertbues (9/5): Superb - We had a great stay here! Unfortunately when i arrived i got sick, but mio was super helpfull and stayed around in case i needed to go to the hospital. He was genually caring and did anything in his power to help us. Luckily i wasnt sick the whole time and we did the boattrip with Mio and ended it with a nice home cook meal that was so delicious! Mio is a park ranger and can tell you all about the nature, animals and lake. It was truly a nice and relaxing stay! Thanks Mio!

• Peter (10/5): Great place... - We've stayed in several places during our round trip in Montenegro, but I have to say that Apartment Dapcevic offered the most authentic experience. Radovan, Mijo and the whole family are great people. You can try local fish, pršut, cheeses and drinks all prepared locally. But the very best experience for us was the morning boat ride on Skadar lake with Mijo. We spent several hours exploring beautiful places with him. I highly recommend this place for all who want to experience authenticity, and definitely book a private boat trip with Mijo.

• Janna (10/5): Phenomenal! - We had a wonderful stay at Radovan’s house for one night. He and his wife are two lovely souls who welcomed us and treated us the best way possible. Upon arrival some cold beer, some great local cheese and honey. They helped us renting a Kajak and prepared us an amazing dinner with the fish that Radovan had angled himself. Radovan is a poet and we spent the night reading some poetry and having wonderful conversations about Montenegro and the history of Balkan. The room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Access to the lake was very easy and we would definitely come back in the future.

• Neta (10/5): Amazing - Best apartment ever! Radovan, Angelina & Mijo were the most considerate, caring and loving hosts! They took care of everything I needed! The room is clean and looks like they recently renovated, has everything that you'll need for a perfect stay. Bonus: you should come very hungry, they'll give you lots of snacks and cook you the freshest meal for a small, fair extra charge :) promise, It'll be worth it! I liked everything! Note: the apartment is on the side of a road, no sidewalks to the national park. Be careful, rent a car or ask for a lift from the hosts. They'll help you with everything you need with the biggest smile.

• Giannina (2/5): Very poor - The view from the shared terrace outside the room was very nice, one could see the lake and the beautiful nature. Also, the host's welcome was very kind. The day of the booking, Mijo sent us a text with a nice welcoming text and also offering also to buy dinner at his place. On the day of our arrival, Mijo's parents welcomed us with a warm coffee and warm Priganice, which was delicious. We really thank them for this. The room is advertised as an apartment, but it is actually a very tiny room, with super small kitchen facilities, and toilet, whose shower does have a proper door. It does not have a private balcony, but just a small window. I felt being in a cave being inside the room. In fact, the advertised pictures can provide a wrong view of the terrace, because this is not private; but shared with the owners (Mijo's parents) and potential guests they invite too. Despite we only stayed one night, in our afternoon and morning, owners receive friends for coffee and meals. While we did not bother much, it did not feel private at wake up with strange voices outside the room, actually in the terrace that it was provided, and we thought it was private. We also had an incident, that might help other guests to have an informed view regarding tourist taxes and owner's ethical behavior paid at the property: - The owner charged tourist taxes (in fact, it charged us twice), but he did not bother to register us only until we asked for the proof of such a registration. It seemed in Montenegro is not possible to register retrospectively, and it was not possible to register us at the end. Because that, the owner did try to return the 2 EUR that was supposed to cost such a registration. We did not bother about the money because it was going to be more a trouble to arrange such a devolution. But, what really bother us the most and what we found not acceptable was that the owner did charge always such taxes, but it seems he was not familiar with the system, nor bother to really pay such a registration, until someone actually asks for that. This really make us wondering about the owner's ethical behavior.

• Vladyslav (10/5): We loved it there - It was really like visiting grandparents in the countryside, great cultural experience :) Don´t miss a chance to get a dinner prepared by the hosts when offered - you won´t find fish & rakia this good anywhere in Montenegro. The guest facilities are well-maintained. Nice lake view and very silent. The room is small and pretty basic but has everything you need. We´ve been told guests have difficulties finding the place but for us it was easy - the only house around that had lights on at night.
• Matthew (10/5): Wonderful experience! - My wife and I were in Montenegro for almost 2 months and staying here was the highlight of our trip. Vranjina and Skadar Lake are very beautiful, scenic, and full of nature. Mio, our host, took us on a very pleasant boat trip where he caught some fish and showed us the lake. We also hiked the nearby mountain, a short walk from Vranjina, where we saw amazing panoramic views of Skadar Lake and even Albania. Mio was also kind enough to offer to pick us up from the train station and drop us of in Podgorica. Our next door neighbours were Mio's parents Radovan and Gina who were very lovely people. They prepared us very delicious food, especially fresh carp from the lake which was the best fish we ever had. They also poured us a lot of homemade wine and rakija which was excellent. They were very generous and always made sure we were fed and happy. They were very friendly and sociable, always inviting us into their home for coffee, wine or rakija and talking to us. Radovan was very personable and he is also a great poet. He even wrote some lovely poetry just for us. Gina is very generous, kind and funny and took good care of us. You definitely won't regret staying here. We should have stayed longer!

• Craig (10/5): Unforgettable and wonderful stay as the family were so welcoming and really opened our eyes to the local Montenegrin fam - The most friendly and welcoming stay with a lovely family and great access to lake Skadar. Room had everything you would need. Home cooked meals by the family even fresh grapes and wine from the vine. Private boat tour and guide of the lake. Amazing stay Nothing. Maybe slightly difficult access walking up short narrow street up to the house but the family very kindly helped carry our luggage.

We loved the place so much that we decided immediately to stay another night. Mijo his mother made an amazing dinner for us with different kinds of fresh fish from the lake. It was tasty and a lot. The next day we were taken on a boat tour at the lake, which was also amazing! The whole experience of this stay was definitely the highlight of our vacation. • Natália (10/5): Exceptional - This place is a miracle! I can't choose which part of our stay was the best. Our hosts were so kind and lovely, I hope someday we will meet again. The boat trip with Mijo was absolutely fantastic, it's a must if you stay here, as it is a lunch/dinner at the apartment. I ate here the best fish food of my life. What was also important for us is that the WiFi had good signal, we were also able to work from our room. This is the perfect place to stay if you visit the Skadar Lake National Park. ❤️
• Gerrit (9/5): Excellent experience to discover this magnificent lake! - Apartment was exactly as advertised. Perfect view on the lake. Very hospitable hosts, they really tried to connect, offered advice and served us fantastic local food. Google Translate helped us to communicate. The place was a bit difficult to find, as it is located on a hill, only accessible via small corridors and stairs between the houses. But we asked the locals in the street for Mijo, and they pointed us in the right direction.

This place is like visiting your grandparents for the weekend where everyone is trying to do good for your and grandma cooks her best dishes for you. This place has a beautiful view, it is clean and modern. Everyday you get asked what you want to eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner and then it is cooked in the tastiest way. And it is not about money, it is about you being happy with your day and with your stay. Also there are boat trips available where you get to see the beauty of the lake closely. We really liked our stay, we loved meeting Mijo and his parents. We felt like home there and we definitely recommend this place!

• Laura (10/5): Biggest highlight on our journey trough Montenegro! Highly recommended! - The host family were the most forthcoming and lovely people who made you feel part of the family. Mijo took the time to make our stay the most enjoyable. The food was local, natural and made by Mijos mother and just delicious. His father took us out to the lake to show us the traditional way of fishing, which was very interesting. The room and the bathroom were clean and tidy, the bed was comfy and soft and the AC was brand new and worked perfectly. We can just recommend it to everyone and will come back in the future :)
