The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, we also had a lovely dinner to watch the sunset at Rosemarys, just a short walk from the property. Breakfast on the terrace was a perfect way to start the day.

• Martin (10/5): Wonderful place to stay! - Arxegono Cave Houses are an excellent place to stay whilst on Santorini especially if you do not want to be in the busy parts on the Caldera. They are also easily accessible by public transport. The cave room we had was beautifully appointed with everything we needed provided for. We had a warm welcome from Fotis who kindly accommodated us staying an extra night as we got caught up in a ferry strike. It was an extreemly comfortable stay and we very much enjoyed using the roof terrace both to see the sunset across the island and for breakfast. Having seen the reviews we also ate at Rosemary owned by Fotis and tried their homegrown wine - all of which was excellent. We were also able to leave our bags on check out enabling us to enjoy the day before collecting them before we headed off to an overnight ferry. Nothing it was perfect!

Set on a hill, it has fantastic views and is conveniently located between the airport and Fira (both being a few minutes drive away). You can reach the Castle, great restaurants and a few blue domed churches in a short walk. Fotis is a fantastic host - so welcoming and helpful. His local knowledge of the area gave us some additional ideas. Our stay was brilliant and we'll be back again!

Being super critical, the bathrooms could have some hanging points for towels. Given the general excellent state of the room, it was strange that the toilet seat did not fit the toilet - it was too small.
• Barbara (10/5): My 1st time ever sleeping in a cave, even a beautifully restored one. - The owner and the staff were very attentive. The facility was in perfect shape and very clean. The restoration of the property was amazing. My only problem was the bed was on floor level and w/ 2 artificial knees getting that low to get in and out of bed was difficult. I did figure out a system that worked but was stressed each time I managed getting to ground level and up again. The location was perfect for younger folks.

• Dmitry (9/5): Wedding Weekend stay in Santorini - It’s a brand new stylish boutique hotel with a very nice design and concept. The breakfast on the roof top terrace was amazing. The hotel manager is super nice and friendly. The rooms are cozy and you sleep like a baby there. In my room due to the absence of window and access to the bathroom was a little bit humid. May be the owner should get some dehumidifier in the future to maintain the beauty of the rooms.

The amenities were excellent, and the hotel provides a fantastic breakfast with one of a kind views. The owners and resident chef who prepared the breakfast were all very kind and hospitable people. We never wanted to leave! Truly, are time at Arxegano Cave Hotel was the highlight of our trip. Nothing. We loved it.

Delicious breakfast served on the rooftop terrace. The host greeted us and helped us order taxis and suggested a lovely restaurant for dinner.

The cave was beautiful and the location was perfect, we only were able to stay for one night as we were getting the ferry super early the next morning to Ios, due to this we were going to miss the included breakfast, therefore, the lovely owner supplemented this for us for us at his restaurant for wine! • Beatrice (10/5): Beautifully designed chic hotel with amazing view in Pyrgos. Imagine Tatooine - Arxegono Cave Houses are built within the Pyrgos village. As you open the door from the street you enter an amazing well designed courtyard that repair from the wind and from the world outside. We were immediately welcomed in the warmest way possible. The rooms are not many, I think four so there are not many people around and it’s a family owned business. Our room was clean and really big, it was perfect to land us in the holiday mood the first day of holiday. On the top floor a gorgeous terrace that looks above Santorini. Imagine Tatooine, where Luke Skywalker was living with his uncle Ben. The courtyard was really similar. Also really loved all the curated furniture and the plant pots upstairs! Breakfast also was amazing! There is nothing I didn’t like! Everything was perfect! Perhaps the only thing was at breakfast would have been great to have also other dairy options instead of full on milk.. but that is similar in Santorini! Or more espresso even from nespresso!

Wonderful sunset view itself from the rooftop of the hotel!! Everything is new and just like on the pictures, I couldn’t get enough of the style and effortless elegance of this place. Breakfast of very good quality, healthy and super tasty. But most importantly though, Esra - the host, is so helpful and so nice! When we arrived, Esra gave us all the support we needed, and stayed available at all times. This place really was a highlight of our stay in Santorini!
