Guest Reviews
- The Scuba Tuna (10/5): Quit, Private, and Oh So NICE. - The Facilities are amazing...The Privacy is beyond believe...The Atmosphere and setting would compare to my camping in a very private state run campground at 7000 feet on a Colorado Mountain... If you have a Family, Your Family would truly be entertained with badminton, and Grill Area, and did I mention The Privacy..in a semi-wooded area...and if you are alone, as I, you would know you are "HOME"..I stayed at this location on several occasions..and will again and again.. The privacy, the area is too Quiet.

- Mary (9/5): Nice little gem in rural area. - We had a wonderful stay at this charming rustic cottage during my art fair weekend. The space was spotless, cozy, and nicely decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage layout is simple and efficient — a comfy bed, nightstands, TV, and a small recliner in one room, with a clean bathroom and shower separated by a curtain.
The screened‑in porch was our favorite part. It had an outdoor refrigerator, small sink, and countertop on one side, and a two‑chair sitting area on the other — perfect for morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. The rural setting made it peaceful and quiet, yet still convenient for our trip.
A lovely little place with a lot of charm. We would definitely stay again. We had 2 c-paps and small end table was difficult to accommodate but we figured it out.

- Sandy (5/5): It was ok, but I will not stay again. - It was located close to Chiefland, where my family lives. Very secluded. It was quiet. The room had a closed-up smell to it. The toilet broke 3 times while I was there. I had to take the back off and re-hook the chain so it would flush. The shower is very outdated.
- Robin (10/5): Perfect little space for two people looking to get away. - Cute and quaint little area to stay for the night. Was just enough for two people. TV with dvd player. DVD’s provided. WiFi provided. Cute little sitting area out front to enjoy the good weather. Free of pests and bugs. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to the area. Maybe more pillows could be provided? The pillows were on the flatter side but that could be a personal preference thing.
- Plant (10/5): Great - Such a cute little spot! Super cozy with everything you could possibly need. The enclosed yard was perfect and felt really safe for my dog to wander around. It’s peaceful, comfy, and just a great place to relax.

- Keith (8/5): - It was very comfy and cozy for what we needed. The phone service was not good, there may have been wifi but we didnt figure it out and the water in the shower never got hot. Aside from that we enjoyed it and we would stay again
- Cherylann (7/5): Good value for a nice getaway - Cute little cottage. Very clean. Nicely decorated. Friendly staff Needs a more comfortable bed and better water pressure in the shower
- Howard (10/5): Simple Charming and Serene - We stayed here to go to a high school graduation of a relative. Neal's Nest was small, cute, and irresistibly relaxing and fun. There was no awkward "check-in" process, although I think we met the owner's child - a very polite young man who invited us to enjoy a fire that he built.
It was much like camping out or staying in a pool cottage -- quiet, serene, and peaceful. We loved it!
Understand that this place is small and cozy without the amenities of a sterile stand hotel chain. To us, that was delightful. I am very hot-natured, and the temperatures were soaring. The A/C could have been colder for me, but most would find it adequate. I bought a fan at the local Dollar General store and slept peacefully. Bonus: I am still enjoying the fan at home!
- Ann (10/5): Will be back in October - Clean! Cute! Wonderful Host!
- Amber (10/5): Comfy stay at the Nest. - It was very homey. The whole place, the location and the little cabin. It was comfortable and the set up was very cool. And our host was Everything was great.
