Guest Reviews
- Mary Andrea (8/5): - It was beatifully furnished and spotless. With 6 girls sharing we could have done with a second shower.
- Ellie (10/5): Wonderful, would highly reccomend - Perfect location, central to loads of cafe bars and restaurants. Walking distance to city centre and plenty of room for the 10 of us who stayed. Beautifully clean everything provided that we could need! Even a free bottle of Prosecco ! Thank you so much The only complaints I have which really aren’t that important is the lack of mirrors in the rooms. With 10 girls trying to get ready it was hard only having 1 mirror!
- Hannah (7/5): A lovely spacious property that's walking distance from the city centre, recommend to large groups - Lovely property, walking distance from the city centre. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. The host was really nice and helpful. There wasn't enough toilet paper so I had to buy more. A couple of the cupboard doors were broken. During our stay the key snapped off in the door, which wasn't ideal as it affected our plans, but the host was more than helpful to get it sorted ASAP.
- Sioned (8/5): -
- Carmel (8/5): -
- Tammy (9/5): Beautiful home and friendly hosts. - A beautiful spacious town house. Easy to get to and easy to navigate the city from here.
Very friendly reception on arrival, and helpful.
- Victoria (9/5): Beautiful property 5 mins walk from city centre - Amazing location and beautifully decorated. Although the kitchen was very well equipped there were no tea towels/oven gloves so it was difficult to cook and remove food from the oven safely.
- Emma (7/5): Great location - Location was amazing a short walk to all the local attractions Not enough bathrooms just 1 on the top floor and a small toilet on ground floor. Bathroom couldn't cope with 8 people and sink kept blocking.
- loulou (4/5): Uncomfortable beds and inadequate facilities - The decor was nice The beds were absolutely terrible. So uncomfortable especially the sofa beds.
Linen for sofa bed was not fresh. We had to search for it and found it in the bottom of the wardrobe on the third floor.
Towels were not fresh, smelt of must and one had big brown stain on it.
Stains on one of the bedsheets.
Downstairs toilet smelt of sewer and upstairs toilet leaked.
Only one shower. Listing said two bathrooms which is not right. One wc does not count for a bathroom.
We were left waiting outside the house for 40 mins despite arrival time given weeks in advance. Host didn't turn up but sent her husband who was not terribly polite. Host later communicationed that she had smashed her phone but prioritised getting that fixed over guests waiting outside in the cold.
Would have been a nice touch to have a pint of milk in the fridge but no, the bare minimum.
Not enough seats for the maximum capacity of ten. Only seats three in the downstairs living room. Then there is a bench and table ( bench broken, top lifts off).
Honestly wouldn't stay here again. Inadequate facilities for the cost beds were dire. Plenty of nicer places with more thought for the people staying.
- Gary (9/5): -
- Catherine (7/5): Great location in the heart of the city with lovely pubs and coffee shops just metres away. - Great location, very central and lots of bedrooms. We were quite a large group and were a bit short on towels.
- lizzie (8/5): Excellent property in the nicest area of Liverpool. Great for a weekend with friends. - Great location in the Georgian Quarter. Central to everything. Lovely property, well equipped kitchen and sitting rooms. There are 3 bedrooms (2 on top floor) and 2 large sitting rooms, both of which have a sofa bed, so it's effectively 5 bedrooms. Host was responsive and helpful. Only 1 set of keys which was tricky with a group of 5 of us. Unusual not to have a key box. There was an unpleasant drains smell from the downstairs toilet. Only 1 bathroom/shower. Some of the pillows need replacing.
- Beth (10/5): Location with every penny. Accommodations perfect. - Great great great location. Super host. 100 percent would stay again.
- Bryn (10/5): Really lovely town house with plenty of room for all of us (6 people) and host was great -
- douglas (8/5): - Excellent location and plenty of room
- Annemarie (7/5): Great location for visiting city centre atractions. - Location was ideal. We were visiting the Anglican cathedral and the Philharmonic Hall - the house was about 5 minutes walk from each. Also a gentle 10 minute downhill stroll to Liverpool One. The kitchen was well equipped. We were met at the property to collect keys and just had to leave them there when we left - all very easy. The house warmed up very quickly and the heating system was efficient. 2 separate sitting rooms with TVs so room to spread out if needed. No information about the accessibility of the property before we arrived despite asking - there are 3 steps up to the front door. A floor plan would have helped us as didn't realise the bathroom was on top (3rd floor). Bedside lights in each bedroom would be useful. Mostly clean and comfortable but could maybe do with a deep clean (under furniture etc). One downstairs toilet and one 3rd floor shower room was ok for the 3 of us but if the house was at full sleeping capacity it could be a bit pressured for the single shower. The windows are single glazed, the road is cobbled and it is on way back from the city for people on a night out - definitely need ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

- simon (9/5): Lovely place full of character and good location. Clean + well equipped. Nice owners. Free parking -
- Jennifer (7/5): - Super Lage, sehr freundlicher Host! Mobiliar eher dürftig und die Matratzen von der Ausziehcouch waren sehr sehr schmutzig. Im allgemeinen war es nicht sehr sauber.
- Rachel (10/5): Great location and wonderful for large group. - Great location. Great decor and lovely rooms. Could have done with some more tea towels and a dish sponge.
- Martin (8/5): - Great location, beautiful house, very spacious and exceptionally clean. Sofa and chairs uncomfortable. Pillows lumpy and could do with upgrading.
- James (10/5): -
- Louise (9/5): We loved our stay here great communication with the owners and we were greeted on arrival - Location and character of the house which was warm and very comfortable. Loved the kitchen. The bedding needs to be of a higher standard
- Debbie (10/5): - Lovely house clean and very comfortable.
- Neil (8/5): -
- Brendan (10/5): - Excellent location and extremely friendly staff
- KMCC (9/5): Perfect place for a group stay in the City. - A beautiful house with neutral decor in a great location in the city centre. Perfect for our needs. Host was great - he came and met us with the keys and had a good chat and gave recommendations. We had trouble getting the shower temperature correct
- Jimmy (10/5): We had a great time staying here the location was great, and yes we would stay here again, thank you Lois 😊 - We enjoyed staying here the inside was very spacious, nice big kitchen, the location was great, it was very easy to walk to the local amenities, and very easy to walk to the town and docks our host Lois was very nice and polite 😊 We didn’t like the microwave because it was to high to use plus we used it once and it wouldn’t heat anything, the vacuum cleaner wouldn’t really pick anything up, so we had to clean the house with a sweeping brush, the thermostat on the wall for the central heating wouldn’t work I think it needs new batteries, plus the lamp shades and the beams in the bedrooms need a good clean they were very dusty, just minor things really
- Jakob (8/5): -
- Svea (4/5): Disappionting - The location in the city was quite convenient for us despite the street noise. Many sleeping possibilities.
The pictures in the ad were very good.
Parking permit and parking space in front of house. When we arrived at the agreed time, nobody was there to hand over the keys. For more than five hours I couldn’t reach the host and ended up spending over two hours on the phone with Booking, who eventually managed to get in touch with them. Not much fun with tired kids and other plans for the evening. Our other attempts to reach the host were answered very delayed.
The apartment feels more like someone’s empty home, furnished with a few pieces from Wayfair, and rented out while the owner is abroad. The dining table and bench were unstable, the towels were frayed, and the dishes and cutlery were dirty.
The whole place needs a deep cleaning: there was chewing gum stuck to the wainscoting, mold in the fridge, and grease both on and inside the stove.
Given the many glowing reviews, I had expected something completely different. Maybe we just came at the wrong time.
- Amy (9/5): - Perfect location for a graduation. Amazing historic building with very comfy beds and sofa beds. We even opted to stay in the house rather than go to the pub as it was so nice There was a lot of road noise and some roudiness by passersby outside in the night but can't be helped.
- Neil Harrison (10/5): Great liverpool location - Very clean and spot on for location great for what the family needed. Walking distance great for local restaurants and bars and very easy for central liverpool. Nothing
- Corrina (10/5): A lovely stay in a perfect Location with a great host. - The location of the property was fantastic. Within walking distance of everything. We went for a Graduation for my Daughter at the Philharmonic and it was a great location. The two pubs opposite, The Pilgrim and The Mayflower were great and super friendly.
The house itself was huge and we had everything that we needed, including a parking permit which meant that we could park directly outside.
Lois was so great at communicating and met us with a warm welcome. Nothing that we didn’t like.
- Karen (10/5): High recommend this property.great location. Loveky hostess . Gorgeous house - Beautiful property and the location was perfect right in the heart of Liverpool and 2mins walk to the pilgrim pub . Highly recommended this property . Lois was lovely and friendly. Definitely would stay here again .
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Excellent facilities. Gorgeous house. Hosts were great and communication was excellent. Will definitely book again.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (7/5): Good -
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, lovely house with everything needed. Ideal location for evenings out in Liverpool. - Large property, perfect for our group Birthday get together. Location was central for everything we wanted to do.
- Bowden (5/5): Passable - 20 min walk to city centre We had to wait 30minutes on arrival (at check in time) for the keys which were in the neighbours house, get a locked box or a code. You shouldn’t have to wait in the cold for someone to drive over and knock on the neighbours door to get a key.
The property only had two actual beds,
The other rooms all had sofa beds, we were travelling 8 adults, we never would have booked this property if 2 couples had to sleep on sofa beds - that weren’t made up and we had to go looking for sheets.
Property was advertised as 2 bathrooms - only had 1 on the 3rd floor. Had a 2nd toilet on the bottom floor- the property had a for sale sign so maybe the owner didn’t care.
- Sheila (9/5): Great quirky house within easy reach of Liverpool centre - Close to Liverpool City centre and sights
Well equipped and warm
Lots of extra bedding and linen when using all the beds
Staff responded quickly to questions on arrival
Good space for 5 people to socialise Bathroom on top floor with small toilet on ground floor
Difficult to get the temperature right throughout the house, too cold downstairs and too hot upstairs
Sofa bed not particularly comfortable
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - House was amazing for big group of us That there was only one shower between 9 of us
- Gemma (10/5): Perfect - The communication was excellent and getting the keys was easy. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and cosy and the decor was beautiful. We had an absolutely beautiful time and cannot recommend the place more highly.
- Laverick (9/5): Lee's 40th Trip - This was such a beautiful house to stay in. The hosts were more than accommodating with early check in and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone. Close to the bars and shopping.
- Caitlin (10/5): Exceptional - Really friendly guy who greeted us!
Perfect location!
Great communication and let us in earlier than check in (thank you!)
Gorgeous house with comfy beds and plenty of space
- Stephen (8/5): Great location, comfortable space and clean. - It is immaculate and in a great location Not the fault of anyone but it was a litttle noisy at night. Also, maybe a microwave would have made some food prep easier.
- Tim (9/5): Great house, great host, would stay again :-) - - Excellent location, handy to the city centre.
- Host was great and accommodated are early arrival, many thanks!
- House wall decorated and had great facilities. Constructive feedback:
- We didn't like the beds, the mattresses were quite thin, all four of us said the same thing.
- The windows were not double glazed and we could hear people outside talking, its a period house though so somewhat understandable.
- Keren (9/5): Lovely host and excellent property in a great location -
- Amanda (9/5): Convenient for town & excellent space - Location was excellent Bed on top floor was a bit uncomfortable
- Anne (5/5): Very nice clean house .. - Location was good No information booklet
re bins or electrical fuse box etc house safety etc
Not enough chairs to sit down in lounge
Not enough mirrors in the house
Not enough towels to go round
No hand towels in wc or bathroom
No slip mat in shower for safety
Lots of creaky floor boards and squeaky
Doors .
- Rachel (10/5): The house was comfortable and mostly clean, customer service was brilliant Lois couldn’t have been any more helpful. - Plenty of room for us all to be together as a group, it’s a good location and the beds are comfy. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom shower wasn’t the cleanest but it was a nice rainfall shower. I would take your own towels the ones provided are quite small.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - The closeness to concert venue
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (6/5): Doesn't live upto expectation - Location of this property is amazing in relatin to the centre and things to do, there's, shops and pubs etc nearby and is easily walkable to the centre and should cost no more than about 10 in an Uber if you don't fancie the walk. hosts were good at communicating and let us have early check-in and late check out free of charge. Includes 1 free parking permit Photos and description are very misleading.
Floor one is a small kitchen and I stress small and a living room with one 2 seater sofa bed that folds out into a small double with a small dining table that would only seat 6 at a push. There is also 1 toilet on this floor.
The next floor has 2 rooms , one has a double bed in it, whilst the other has another sofa just the one that folds out into a small double. The next floor has 2 double rooms and a 'bathroom' which has the worst shower I've ever used in my life and a toilet.
The shower is a dribble of water right from the ceiling, it has minimal pressure and it's really hard to wash your hair, or avoid getting your hair wet if you just want a body wash.
The sofa beds are not the best with extremely thin mattresses which were rather uncomfy.
There's not even enough seating for a party of 10 to sit together or eat together. The kitchen is small but manageable if it had the correct equipment to actually cook for a group, at best there's enough pans l, baking trays, cooking utensils to cook for a couple, a small group at a push. There wasnt enough plates, bowls, cups etc for everyone to use at the same time. There was no tea towels, no oven gloves etc.
The property is single glazed and alot of noise can be heard from outside, this didn't actually bother me but it might future guests, we were also witnesses to a few drug deals right outside the house 😬😬
The house is looking shabby and a bit unkept and has been photographed well to not show this, and was not cleaned to the standard I would expect when paying £600 a night to stay somewhere, we also had to make our own beds!! Although this was a self catering property there wasn't even a drip of fairy liquid for example.
Also there is minimal mirrors and bad lighting in most bedrooms for getting ready to go out.
- Lucy (8/5): A great weekend with friends but lacking some basic facilities. - Great location and a good number of bedrooms. Nicely decorated throughout. Very attractive property. Only one shower and that wasn’t brilliant.
The lack of mirrors that others have mentioned. Towels and bedding were hidden away in cupboards and we had to make the beds up ourselves with crumpled bedding for the two sofa beds.
No hairdryer in any of the rooms that we could find. No dishwasher, or even tea towels, so we had to dry the dishes with facecloths. The kitchen wasn’t very well equipped so not even a wooden spoon, oven gloves, tea towel, salt and pepper or kitchen roll.
We cooked some pizzas on the first night and so much smoke came out of the oven that the house was filled with it and we were all coughing all night. It smelled like there was oven cleaner left in the oven which produced awful smoke that meant we had to leave the windows open for hours.
No coffee table in the living room.
No bedside tables for some bedrooms.
Nowhere to hang a towel in the downstairs toilet.
No bins anywhere apart from the kitchen.
For the money we paid it just felt like it could have been better planned out for guests to be comfortable.
- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (8/5): Short n sweet. - Great location. Character. Only 1 shower.
- James (9/5): Fabulous stay would come back! - We loved the area that the house was in. Very handy for everything. The house was furnished to a very high standard. There wasn’t enough seats for 8 people in the living area or dining area. Some of the pillows were very flat.
- Diane (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Lovey decor and cosy and warm - everything we needed was there. Great overnight stay, would highly recommend. There was nothing we didn't like
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant - Beautiful house and location good There were 9 of us only one shower and 2 toilets, could maybe do with putting an ensuite in a bedroom.
- Helen (10/5): Fabulous weekend in a lovely house - Superb place to stay. Lovely place with a lot of care put into how it looks. Spotlessly clean. Good kitchen, and lounge. Enough rooms for 5 of us to have our own room- 2 on sofa beds- good spring ones. Excellent location in a nice street. Would be very happy to return or recommend Tiny point- would be good to have a mirror in each bedroom/ Lounge
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (9/5): Superb - excellent property ,everything needed was provided ,very clean and good value
- Adriana (7/5): Good - Host was very attentive
Excellent location There was only 1 shower (2 toilets)
The shower leaked into one of the bedrooms and all my daughter's clothes were socked
Washing machine didn't work
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Property was beautiful really nice decor and had everything we needed 😌 excellent location and we had such a nice stay!!
- Sharon (7/5): Overall the house was lovely - The house was beautiful
Clean
Host lovely
Area No parking
1 mirror in the who house
No teabags or coffee
Out of date milk
No bedside lamps
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jade (9/5): I booked this property for 10 people for a hen party. the property is decorated beautifully and was perfect for our part - The decor was beautiful - minimalist but elegant.
having 2 living rooms was a bonus to chill out in.
the location is very central and you are able to walk to move places in and around Liverpool. x2 bathrooms however only one shower so was difficult with 10 women needing to shower.
Could have done with a few more mirrors to get ready in
- Kira (10/5): Perfect! - My friends and I booked this property for one night to go see Eurovision. The house was perfect - great location, close to everything, so we were able to go shopping and sightseeing before the concert. It was spotless and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities needed. Our hosts messaged and allowed us to check in early, meeting us at the door to hand over the keys. They were super friendly and helpful, offering advice about what to do in the area and answering our questions. We wish we had booked for longer as we had such a wonderful stay!
- Maksim (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (10/5): perfect just what we needed - beautiful decoration over 3 floors, location was perfect as 2 families we could have done with another shower room, but it was fine 🤗
- Sara (8/5): Very good -
- Hari (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (8/5): overall very good, we loved Liverpool! - location, clean, warm, stylish and helpful owners beds could have been more comfortable, and some bed side tables and lamps would be helpful
- Trevor (9/5): Superb - Stairs were steep & lacked a handrail
- Bethan (10/5): Would definitely stay again.. couldn't fault the property at all, brilliant facilities and house. - Location was great for what we wanted. Walking distance to where we needed to be but also pretty cheap taxis too. We went on a 40th so to get ready we noticed there wernt many mirrors.
- Shelly (10/5): 10/10 would stay again! - absolutely stunning house! Great location and walking distance into the city centre. The only thing I could say about this lovely home is we could have done with more mirrors in the room when we were getting ready.
- Grainne (10/5): Exceptional great location especially for graduations -
- Ley (8/5): Good stay to explore Liverpool with family - - very clean
- well stocked with toiletries and kitchen equipment
- nicely decorated throughout
- the bread, milk and Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch
- good location, 20 min walk into the centre - the free parking permits felt like a complicated system. We’d requested them a couple of weeks ahead of arriving but the message seemed to have gotten lost and so we were waiting around till late morning the next day for someone to drop them off. Keeping them in the house would have been an easier option.
- outside noise was loud during the night
- if you use all 5 rooms as bedrooms, you then don’t have a communal space
- there’s only one shower
- Janice (8/5): 4 friends Living it up in Liverpool - The location in the Georgian quarter was exceptional the local bars & restaurants a short stroll also to Albert Dock & centre of Liverpool
.the house is lovely very clean & comfortable Nothing except disappointed that the description on booking.com stated 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms as 4 individuals (3 female 1 mail) it was disappointing but with adaption on our part worked ok with the
1 Shower room & 1 downstairs Toilet.
Also 1 person had to sleep on sofa bed as only 3 bedrooms
- Amanda (10/5): Fantastic - Great location, house was beautiful and extremely clean.
- Shan (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property - highly recommend staying - easy access to city
- Mechelle (10/5): great service, location is perfect. Near to all the bars and restaurants but far away enough to get a good night sleep. - location, cleanliness, decor and professional service nothing all perfect
- Lydia (9/5): Superb -
- Toni (10/5): Exceptional - The property is gorgeous the decor, cleanness the rooms everything, in a great location very close to all bars, clubs and shop's.
Will definitely be booking again in the future.
- Rebekah (10/5): Exceptional - The house was overall very beautiful and beds/couches were so comfortable. Lovely host! Not many mirrors/places to get ready
- D (7/5): Good - Location for what we needed was perfect, decor, lovely. Kitchen well stocked.. TV had Netflix already signed in for use. Had issues in both bathrooms and house alarm beeping because of faulty sensor. Quick response from owner but did not manage to resolve.while, we there.
- Libby (10/5): Exceptional - very welcoming host. Rooms was lovely. Great location, not far from the town but out of the way enough to get a good nights sleep. around a 10 minute walk from all the pubs and clubs.
also welcomed with a bottle of prosecco
- Hadley (10/5): Exceptional -
