• Laetitia (5/5): Disappointed. - The localisation is perfect. Right in front of the gondola. 2 days prior my arrival I asked if I needed to let them know my arrival hour so they no when to pick me up from the saas fee parking. They told me no they come 5 minutes after you called them on the phone once at the parking. Well I tried calling for 35 minutes with the Saas fee parking phone and my personal one. For 35 minutes no answers. Just “not available”. So waited 35 minutes for an answer and then once I had a hold of someone they told me me in less than 5 minutes we will be here. They arrived 18 minutes later… so nearly 1 hour after my arrival I checked in the hotel. The room was extremely cold and no way of adding warmth. I had a breakfast included, the receptionist told me it will be starting from 6am. well I went down at 7h45 and the reception doors and lights were closed. No one inside. We were 3 guests looking around because none of us understood. Then we managed to to enter through the fitness area and there were no breakfast. And then one staff arrived and told us “we are sorry it is usually not like this”. No explanation, no professional gesture, a discount or any thing. As I had a meeting at 8h20 I had to leave with no breakfast and nothing with me as there were supposed to be one. So extremely disappointed about this.
• Mattheus (9/5): - Goed uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Dinerbuffet met elke dag soep. Grote, sfeervolle kamer. Wij waren in een rustige periode in het hotel. Dan ging al vrij vroeg (21.00 uur) het licht in de lobby uit.
• Andrea (9/5): Ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in einem guten Hotel mit hervorragenden Service. - Sehr zuvorkommendes höfliches Personal. Am Empfang wurde ein sehr gutes Deutsch gesprochen, ansonsten Englisch. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Bergbahn, gute Lage. Das Frühstück war gut. Ein neuer Glasaufzug ist vorhanden. Das Hotelzimmer hatte einen schönen Balkon in Richtung Bergbahn, war groß, die Betten waren bequem. Mein Mann und ich fanden den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Eine winzige Kleinigkeit (hat meinen Mann nicht gestört): das Raumspray war etwas stark. Aber einmal gut durchgelüftet, was ja kein Problem war und alles war gut.

• Robin (10/5): Great hiking week. - Good size room, everywhere was very clean and well cared for. Early breakfast before 0700hrs enabled early hiking starts. Staff speak good English, very well located opposite Alpine Express and 5 mins walk to bus station. Very quiet location despite closeness of facilities. Restaurants 5-10 mins walk away. Nothing.
• Kathrin (7/5): Es hätte besser sein können! - Die Lage ist top. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Die junge Frau mit den dunklen langen Haaren bemüht sich sehr. Das Hotel hat keinen Charme, keine Deko oder Blumen. Das Servicepersonal überfordert, Verständigung schlecht. Wellness seit Monaten geschlossen. Das Essen einfältig. Zum Frühstück wenig Auswahl, kein Gemüse oder regionale Produkte. Balkon wird als Abstellraum genutzt.

Lage ist direkt an der Talstation der Gondel zum Kreuzboden - zum Wandern perfekt. Abholung direkt am Parkhaus. Frühstück ist sehr gut. Die Unterkunft ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen - unser Zimmer war aber frisch renoviert worden.

• Innes (9/5): Comfortable well-appointed hotel, perfect for skiers (and indeed summer visitors). - If you like skiing, the location is perfect: opposite the main gondola (Alpin Express; oddly not one of booking.com's options in the "Which ski lift did you use the most?" question) and you can ski right down to the other side of the road. Good-sized bedroom (mine had a terrace overlooking the village and it was an 'ordinary' double bedroom), friendly helpful staff, very good buffet breakfast and - extremely useful - every room had a dedicated locker in the dry room in the basement for storing ski gear, with heated bars you hung your ski boots on). I didn't use the sauna or hot tub, but those facilities are there from 3pm. I'd certainly stay here again and Saas-Fee itself is an attractive car-free village, with great late-season skiing ideal for intermediates (lots of wide reds and 2000m drop as a continuous run from the glacier to the village). Nothing could have been better. Great hotel in a traditional but car-free village, perfect for late season skiing.

• Norbert (3/5): Great sauna facilities, good location & breakfast, BUT broken heating system with COLD rooms. - We really liked the sauna facilities, the hotel's location, the breakfast, the room amenities. The staff was also friendly. It was EXTREMELY COLD in the rooms (5th floor). The first night there were 16 degrees in the room and 15 degrees in the bathroom. The heaters were not working properly. We asked for staff to come into the room and try to repair it, but they could not. We asked for an electric heater, but they did not have one. The next morning we asked to switch rooms, which they agreed to, but in the new room (on the 4th floor) there were only 18 degrees. The heaters were working in the morning, but not during the afternoon and night. We had to sleep with warm winter clothes, because even under the cover it was way too cold due to the heaters not working during the night. Not a nice experience. We complained twice about these issues (once when staff came to the old room to check it out, once when we switched to the new room), but after that I did not want to fight with them. It was a very unpleasant experience to stay 2 nights there, and sleep in 16 degrees the first night and 18 degree room the second night. I could not wait to leave the hotel. The staff were friendly, but they could not fix the heating issues. The hotel management has to do better to ensure better conditions in the room. No one should be required to sleep in 16 degrees just because you have no other choice (you are in the middle of no where in the mountains).

• Jeffrey (10/5): Excellent stay, excellent staff, excellent location - Honestly, the staff is what makes this hotel, particularly the manager Ana and her employee Alexandra. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. The location is also excellent, right across from the town’s longest cable car (the one that goes to the alpine metro ski train) and the short alpine slide track. Breakfast was good though items aren’t always replenished if you come later in the morning. The croissants are baked fresh! The views are stunning, especially from rooms that end in 1, 2, or 3 on higher floors. Because the hotel has a volleyball field, there is no building immediately in front of it to block the views of the Fee glacier from these rooms. We liked that the elevator is glass so you could enjoy the mountain views on the way to your room. Would easily stay there again, and again, and again…. The decor is a bit retro but that wasn’t an issue. The toiletries could also use an upgrade. There wasn’t any conditioner, for example. There is also only one family suite that can accommodate a family of four in one room. It wasn’t available when we stayed there but we were able to get two adjoining rooms, which was great, but of course that doubles the price. This is more a concern about Europe as a whole than it is about the Hotel Alpin. Overall, we enjoyed our stay—so much so that we returned for a second night.

They found a suitable solution for all our requests (kudos to Fred) - Very comfortable room with a magnificent view (we had a balcony) - Right next to a cable car - Several things were closed including the whirlpool, finnish sauna and steam bath (i guess because the high season in winter and not summer) - Only one fixed menu is available for dinner (but there are plenty of choices nearby) - Rather simple breakfast, but not uncommon in the mountains

There is a complimentary shuttle with electric car from/ to the city parking garage, as the city is car free. The room is large and comfortable, and the staff is very nice and friendly. Nothing.

• Milena (7/5): Very good location, clean, fine facilities, a little pricey - Located directly by the ski lift, short walk to the center, clean rooms, rather basic but good breakfast, shuttle to the station, small but very well working spa area A little too expensive (400 per night) for the offer, reserving via booking never expect the best room in the category (higher floor, better view) but rather the opposite, so was in that case,despite booking much in advance, felt a bit disapponting to hear we should have mentioned it in the booking (we thought it is self explanatory to have nice room with nice view but maybe it is our naivity) ski heating switched off too early so shoes were still a bit wet in the morning

• Armands (9/5): Superb - Overall a fabulous place. Keep in mind that it is a winter resort village, where it is forbidden to enter by car. You can park your car in front of the village for a fee. It will take 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the hotel.

Mountain view also good, while you might better take a little walk to get the whole panorama. Staff highly motivated, friendly, helpful and flexible. We enjoyed the wellness area also. The only issue: needs to get up update what the definition of “vegetarian” food means 😄

The rooms are spacious, tidy, and with an unreal view of the glaciers. Each room has a large terrace. The staff is incredibly friendly. The food is excellent. The spa is great.
