Natalie (10/5): Wonderful hosts, an oasis of calm and a real home from home - We had the best time, wonderful hosts and staff. Can't wait to return!! We will brush up on our French so we can communicate more easily as everyone speaks French there. Villa Daba is just perfect for an off the beaten track trip. Fantastic family run resturant in walking distance and a few cafes a short drive away plus in 15 mins by car you are in the heart of Essouira. The donkeys, tortoises and beautiful garden are all part of the magic of this place. The pool is also very refreshing and everything is so clean thanks to the lovely cleaning staff who did an amazing job of making our room lovely every day. We spent a week there and didnt want to leave! Special thanks to Mohammad for putting up with our wild children for a week, he couldn't do enough for us. We felt part of the family there and that's thanks to the warm welcome and hosts checking in every day with how we were and making such a fuss over our girls (2 and 5). We are so grateful!! We hope to visit again very soon!! Natalie and Nick (Enna and Lyra) The balcony terrace walls are very low so if you have small children with a tenancy to climb like ours... Then go for a ground floor room!

John (9/5): Superb - Didier and Bernadette were very friendly and attentive hosts. The garden and pool areas are very tranquil and the hammam is lovely. The villa has interesting and very tasteful Africa-themed decor. Villa Daba is an oasis of peace and tranquility and we left feeling rested and restored.
Michiel (9/5): Nice relaxing place to start or end your Moroccan trip - Comfortable rooms with a very individual character; relaxing pool and balcony/terrace, good breakfast. Good parking place at the premises. Nice cooperative KAPCIM nearby (few minutes walk) for nice souvenirs and a nice restaurant. Note: no airconditioning as it is not necessary because the temperature is very nice during evening/night
Adnane (8/5): The villa is nice but need to work on people skills - The villa is located 8 km from essouira, very quiet and secluded location. It’s well maintained and the room were beautifully decorated. It looks like the owners spent some quality time to think about the small details. Breakfast was good missing eggs but no biggie, the pool was nice and we had our private terrace which was a big plus. Simo hammad was very professional and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He deserves all the props. He suggested great places to visit outside the city and made sure we didn’t need anything else. Thanks simo hammad Now let’s talk about what happened to me . Villa Dabba was a last minute reservation so we booked it and drove to find it. Once we arrived we buzzed the main door and a French lady “Catherine “ spoke to us and greeted us. The first thing we noticed was bunch of dog and I don’t have a problem with dogs but my youngest daughter was bit by a chuaoua in the past and has sort of ptsd so I asked Catherine if the dogs were nice and to my surprise she was sarcastic and told me that they eat humans and followed it by not they are nice. Usually sarcasm is for people that you know well. Furthermore, she added that the reservation was only for 4 people I told her that I reserved it for 2 adults and 3 kids and I even showed her my reservation on booking.com she kept insisting that the reservation was for 4 and added that no big deal as if she was doing me a favor. The shocking thing was the fact she told me that I had to pay in cash . I was a bit surprised because I didn’t have enough cash and this important details was not mentioned in my reservation and offered to showed her but refused and stated that everyone knows that they need to pay in cash and if I was not ok with it I can find a different place and told me that she checked with the owner and he told her that it’s mentioned in booking that only cash is accepted . I offer to send her money via remitly app but told me that I can send myself cash . I told her that I just got here and it was Saturday and it was a real inconvenience for me. Her answer was either send it to myself or wire money to an account in France. Anyway we went looking for a cash office instead enjoying ourselves. Later on I found out that Catherine was just hotel sitting for the owners . I asked her please add this comment to booking to avoid any future confusion I was told again well everyone knows that they should pay in cash.

Janez (10/5): Must go! Best place in Marocco. - Everything was great, location, owners, swimming pool, breakfast ... If you want to recharge your batteries, relax in peace, this is the Best place to stay. We have been in Marroco 11days, slept in 6 different comodities, and this is far the Best!! Maybe it would be good to add some eggs on the menu for breakfast, which is still superb!
